Hi Kaydguru. i got my visa, i was lucky they didn't ask me to provide them with a new passport. thankss kaydguru: |
Ok thanks a lot kaydguru: |
thanks for your reply once more kaydguru. i am not Nigerian, i am here on a residence permit. do you think if i was asked to get them a new passport they would give me the one that i applied with? so i can travel to get a new passport? another question if you don't mind, when one applies for a uk settlement visa from Nigeria, i know that all the supporting documents go to Sheffield in UK, but what about the passport? do they send it to sheffield as well or it remains in the British High commission in abuja and the visa will be printed there? thanks kaydguru: |
Thanks a lot for this relieving news. I hope they will contact me as well. My case still a bit different, I don't hold a Nigerian passport therefore I will need to use my current passport (one with the application) to travel home to get a new passport. If I'm to apply from my Embassy in Abuja, it would take about 2 months to get a new passport. Thanks a lot though. kaydguru: |
Hello Guys i am happy to join you in this forum. i have a question regarding my passport. i have recently submitted my application for a spouse visa, When I arrived at TLScontact office in Abuja and upon checking my passport, I was informed that my passport has no blank pages. I actually do have 4 empty pages (but one sided). It was a lack of knowledge from my side (and the solicitor that handled my case), I thought one blank page means one side of the page blank and not back and front. However; it was too late for me to withdraw the application and i went ahead with the submission any way. based on your experience in this this regard, do you think i have chance? (of course if other requirements were met) or will I be denied the visa based this on issue? anyone's response will be highly appreciated. and so sorry if i have diverted the discussion to another matter. thanks |
