Nysc only stressed on mailing callup letters against travelling to get it, that doesnt mean its the only benefit you will gain from paying the 4k, there are other benefits too just as sadiq said before, but dont expect it to be stated in black and white for you, use your head, there are more benefits to come, espeacially in camp registration, watch and see. I was alarmed by the huge amount and joined the protest, but i still paid cos justice is very slow in the country. I am not forcing anyone to pay, but i am saying better to be on a safe side.

Bros, forget that thing...if I'm still here and doing fine despite how many of my padis are out there who have their call-up numbers already and influencing their posting, meaning I'm here not bowing to that kinda pressure, you think whatever preferential treatment they give 'em over there in camp will move me either?? I didn't mean to antagonise anybody, I mean, being a Nigerian and knowing our country is corrupt. it's "general knowledge" that when a scheme props up and paying is optional, it usually favours the ones that paid. Where I feel NYSC erred was not pre informing PCMs that paying members would get their callup numbers earlier than their non paying counterparts. With that being said, I still take my stance on NYSC nt unjustly exploiting PCMs, their explanation and reasons for the fee is understandable especially as no extra funding from the govt have being allocated to them to help transit to the online stratosphere, though they could review the fee to enable it affordable to everybody.

The major basis of my anger!!!

One other thing I know is that, we who haven't paid yet are still more than those that have paid, I stand to be corrected here though, and more than 50% of us, if not more will like to influence our postings, so, if that is a valid fact, then those in charge of the "runs" won't ask us to keep our money by the time we get our call-up numbers, this ain't small money oo from 10k-20-30k, now multiplied by the number of people still willing to influence it.....they'll definitely find a way!!!

You are not entirely wrong, you would still get ur numbers off board as you have stated! Though at a later date because of compilation, cataloguing and distribution. My point is, now that you know the system is flawed! You know what to do to get ur number "quicker" than most, especially if you wanna influence your posting, otherwise I see no reason why people would wanna get their numbers early. Even some of the die- hard anti-pay PCMs have done the needful to get the needful.

The best NYSC could do to compensate our long waiting as we've refused to pay is send our call-up no by mail too but on stipulated date instead of being early like our counterparts who paid.

Your theory on inequality is flawed! Nobody is saying if some1 of upper class pay and his/her counterpart of middle or low class pay as well, the former would be treated better because of their status quo. Let me ask you this! And be honest, how do you want the people who paid to feel, if the non paying corps get all the privileges that they enjoy?? Then what is the essence(s) of paying?? Always looks at things frm different perspectives. In the end, everybody would get their callup number.

I don't subscribe to this! Is there supposed to be any other sweet feeling asides the fact that they get theirs via mail while we struggle to write ours off the boards?? Was that not what the only advantage NYSC stated? Did they even ever mention they'd get their call-up numbers too via mail?? Was it not only the call-up letter that was stated?? If they pay and then get their call-up numbers via mail, while we don't but write ours off the boards, but all at the same time, shouldn't that sweet feeling of not struggling to write off boards like us be enough for them??! ogun camp is very good, one of the best in nigeria. State allawee is 5k. Since ogun in close to lagos. There are places in ogun that are industrial area

I've always wanted Ilorin, Kwara State, but then I decided to call up a friend who once served there, she told me their camp was terrible, there was no state allowance, just the allowee from the FG + it's meagre or even nothing from the so called PPA's..then this all got me confused. Now I've started thinking; is there someone out there who could make me feel better by telling me it all ain't true, or tell me I might not necessarily experience such?!

Besides, maybe I can still change my mind, if it's not Ilorin, then it's Ogun State...but what's there in Ogun state?, nothing I know of...Where else then? Lag? Hell nah!, Oyo state here? Nooo!! *sigh* - the thinking of a confused PCM!!
