Nairaland as a forum has been serving as blessing to alot of Nigerian Youths, it has always been my number 1 source of news. Nairaland has come to stay and I think it needs some upgrading i.e some features needs to be added so as to make it even more interactive. Some of the features I propose includes: 1) Chat Room 2) facebook plugins 3) Just as the LIKE button I suggest there should also be DISAGREE Button or something similar. 4) Support i.e where we can always tender our complains whenever we are banned or perhaps experience problem using the forum. 5) You can always add yours. I was walking along challenge road in Ilorin when I saw members of the police force including their top officials Protesting against Corruption and Bribery, am I the only one seeing this as eye service? Our Police has finally turn themselves to comedians. Wonder if Corruption and Bribery can be ended in the police force. Below is the picture of the hand bills they were sharing.

Naija Cry I hear the voice of my beloved country, crying out loud from the heart of Africa. Who is going to wipe her tears away, who is going to comfort her during her hard times? Everyday she goes to bed to sleep drown away in her sorrow. Naija Cry, OH Yes I heard her voice from afar, in her silence she weeps alone. Her breast sags from her chest, she has been milked dried by the greedy children she gave birth to, constantly left uncared for by the same children she cared for. Now she looks so lean and totally uncared for, but yet in her pain and state of health, she never stop giving birth to new children nor did she cease to feed the once she had before, but with the look in her eye she might soon exhaust the last milk she had left just for her children sake. Now her milk is all dried and there is nothing left to care for her new children again, so she lie in wait for her older children to care for her and new born kids. What would be the fate of her young children in the hands of the older ones, whose fat Tommy and greedy nature has made them care for themselves alone? What would be the fate of their loving mother Nigeria, whose breast has been sacked dried by Rebellious and self centred children.? Who will come to her rescue? Oh Naija Cry! She cries of hunger, She cries of pain, She cries for the state of her unkept children, She cries for the future that lies ahead of her unborn kids. Sorry Mother Nigeria, I know someday your Children would come back to their sense and take care of you and your children. Love you Naija. http://naijacry..com |

Maybe it's time the Government know about the heart desires and agonies of every Nigeria graduate. What every human wants and strive for the most is a means of survival. Perhaps we don't really know or have not given much thoughts to the Economic benefits of having every youths empowered in this our country Nigeria. Alot of graduates are out in the Labour market with skills that can bring about economic prosperity if fully utilized, but yet the environment which they found themselves and some other factors keep serving as hindrance for them harnessing their skills. May I remind you that the only way to empower a soldier during war is by giving him ammunition to battle his enemies, but in the real sense, if a soldier is given a gun without bullets, then his gun is as good as stick, and his chance of survival during the battle will be minimal. Such is the case of every Nigerian graduates out there in the Labour market. We operate and live in a system where the government believe once you have been to the tertiary institution you should on your own be able to find a means of survival. Though it would have been easy in a system whereby the skill such a graduate possessed is in demand, but in a system like that of Nigeria where no institution or organization requires your skill how then should the graduates survive. I know many would say graduates are not only meant to narrow their search to a white collar job, there is also need for them to engaged themselves in handwork, but it will interest you to know that there are millions of graduates out there who can engage themselves in so many handwork and still yet find it hard to survive in this harsh economy. An economy can only prosper and experience economic growth only when the country can produce for itself and also have enough left to trade out to the outside environment. To cut my lengthy story short, I can only device a solution rather continue preaching about the Economic woes of the Nation. Wouldn't it be better if the Government revise the operation of the NYSC and turn it into an initiative that will empower every graduates. I would rather seek that every graduates be registered into the scheme and given just a short training on how to invest in themselves and the economy or rather teach them a skill that will serve as a means of survival to them and then pay them their full year allowance so as for them to invest in the skill they have learnt during the short training the scheme has given them, which can be done during their orientation camp. By so doing the government haven't only equipped them with a gun but also given them bullets to fire up their skills. This will go a long way in helping them survive in this era of economic recession. Rather than the normal time wasting MAN O WAR drilling giving to them for three weeks. That's not what our youth need at the present time. They should rather be allowed to invest on themselves with the lump sum which is their yearly alawee given to them after the training program, rather than being posted to several places and allow then spend their monthly alawee on food and cloths. This will only last them for a moment which is a year. But the question is after that 1 year what next? This is only my view and I am open to more suggestions and criticism. cc Lalasticlala Yokiti |

A WAKE UP CALL FOR NIGERIANS A Popular Adage says 'the greatest enemy of man is himself', which means man himself is his number one enemy. Alot has been said about the hardship Nigerians have been facing, looking deeply into the Economic Class Nigeria belongs to which is a 'Democratic and Free economy' one who have the understanding that the Power is in the hands of the people. So many times I weep for my Country, a Nation where the Present Generation has no hope or promise ahead, it pains me to know the fact that our youth based there hope on a government that cares only for themselves and their Offshore account. So many President has come and go yet the messages remains the same, telling us Nigeria will be great and things would get better. Let me remind you that if the body is sick the expectation is for it to recover after a while, but when the sickness keeps deteriorating and keep getting worse people shouldn't expect an instant recovery. Have we ever asked why they come to us during campaign and promise us thousands of jobs, good roads, constant power supply etc, and yet when the power they seek gets into their hands what they do is to lay off workers, embezzlement the funds meant for power supply and good roads. How would they know the state of our roads when all they do is fly in the air, how would they feel the impact of irregular power supply when all they do is allocate millions of Naira for their Generator Plant Fuel. Wake up Nigerians! our hope is not in our Government, our hope is in the power in our hands which is our votes and rights as a citizen to say know No to Policies of the Government that is only meant to enrich themselves. What we need is ONE voice. Let us rise and say NO to constant increase in fuel prices, Let us rise and say No to constant Laying off of Workers, Let us rise and say No to Irregular payment of Salaries.. We shouldn't leave it in the hands of few to protest, it concerns us all, with one voice we can reject any leader if he is not doing what we want. I remember the last election in my area where people were being given just a plate of rice and N200 to sell there vote, please wake-up Nigerians this is the future of our children we are eating, don't sell your right as a citizen for a plate of rice not even for a bag of rice. Your right as a Nigerian has no price! Lastly before I drop my pen, every youth is born with a purpose and in you is a special skill and gift God has deposited in you to achieve that purpose, let us stop being used as Political thugs, ballot Snatcher, and selfish interests protest. You are unique and special in your own capacity. Develop your skills and concentrate more on your dreams. God Bless Nigeria! |
Fidelismaria:That's Bobrisky |
There has been alot going on in the media of recent, alot has been said about the Cross Dresser called Bobrisky who made his fame as result of the way he dresses like a female. In a world system like this where youths are quick to pick habits from people such as celebrities, alot of responsibility has to be placed on such celebrities because of the people looking up to them. Bobrisky known for his female dress style has gone along way in selling out his way of dressing to some youths. Now we have youths who can come out proudly online to post there feminine looking pictures on social media claiming not to send anyone. One who wonder where all this began from, even the White men that brought civilization to Nigeria hasn't done up to this. Where has it been heard that a Male will come out with make-up such as eye shadow, lipstick, eye pencil and to top it all put on female clothings and think it's normal. We don't need anyone to tell us Bobrisky is Gay, and the Nigeria Constitution is against such practice. What amaze me most is the way we accept such an act, we see people having alot of followers on the social media page. May God save our generation, I wonder the legacy we are trying to set for the upcoming generation. Bobrisky deserves to be Cautioned. See below to see people who have started following his lifestyle:

But for the benefit of the reasonable people this post is directed to, blogs that are hosted by Google are giving minimum of 3 months review period, but it is advisable not to apply for adsense early and concentrate on posting, so as not to give them an impression that you are only blogging for money.
