I posted on this forum few days ago asking if anyone has had an induction done before, the doctor recommended induction because my baby was post dated and her weight was skyrocketing.

I was supposed to be induced by 12 midnight yesterday but contraction spontaneously started at 2pm surprisingly, I didn’t even know it was contractions until I got to the hospital at 3 pm to be admitted for the induction

The doctor checked me and we were all shocked when he said I was 2cm dilated, before 7pm, I was 6cm. I gave birth to my baby girl at some minutes to 12 midnight naturally without induction

To be honest, I have read a lot about labour pains and how extreme it could get but surprisingly it wasn’t as painful as people make it seem . I know we have different bodies but if you make up your mind, it is not unbearable. When the contractions came, I just took deep breathes like I had practiced online and my husband helped me with massaging of my back. that was all.

I wasn’t given any painkillers at the hospital, I wanted to go for epidural Earlier but they said we have to book for it beforehand and we didn’t want to wait and I am glad we didn’t pay for that as it wouldn’t even have been needed.

Infact I can say, when it was time to have my Baby, time to push the baby out, what I felt was intense pressure to push and not pain

It was during the dilation I felt pain but it wasn’t even half as painful as I have read, breathing techniques I read online really helped as most of the time I kept breathing hard instead of screaming.

So expectant mothers, don’t be scared, if you prepare up your mind and you know it’s just for a while, you would be Very fine, not everything we read about labour pains are true as some people cannot even manage pain at all and make it seem like it was hell for them.

I was induced for my first child. If I share you the birth story u go fear a little but you know what? Honestly I dont mind it again cos its fast. Though people say its the same for natural. But what i can say for induction is ther was not really break,all the contractions and back pain were coming together but the greatest pain for me was the urge to push since my water break around 11 am when I was still 4cm, and yet they kept telling me not to so as not to rupture uterus or something. I had to hold it till like 4pm. Trying to overcome the urge which was coming back to back was the pain for me but I would do it again if it means labour will be fast. Nothing your body can not bear. You are made for this

calm down, as you can see I only asked for volunteers, people who wants to give their stories willingly. And nothing serious, could be a story of when their dogs were sleeping in a funny way or eating in a funny way, that’s all.

I’m new here, I’ve tried to search through all the parts of this thread, it’s really cumbersome. But below is my question I would love to get direct answer to:

I apply for a Canadian school for my undergraduate course (though I’ve first degree here in Nigeria, I didn’t bother to mention it). I was accepted and offered an admission but this issue now is how do I go about the sponsor aspect of it? I wanted to get a sponsor from a local government, with the local government statement of account and letter stating they want to sponsor me, I was asked to pay 300k for that. Even if I pay, Will this work ? Or is there other way I can get a sponsor? Please I really need y’all help on this thank you.

Justwise, and every other experts here. I need your help.
