Learn from Chelsea....

Chelsea started the season following a shameful 10th place last season... A certain Italian named conte joined in the summer with the hope to restore things, back to back defeats against arsenal and Liverpool means the team is ready for another bad season and the Italian future in doubt under 3 months into his new job ... But then, 13 games victory in a row lifted the spirit and the once rejected and bad team is in the final of the oldest club competition *f.a cup* and top of the premier league table with five games to go..

*when everything seems to be bad, keep praying, work hard and everything will eventually get better*

CHELSEA FC VS TOTTENHAM - MORE THAN A GAME....
Saturday 22nd April is the day, Wembley is the venue as the first and second place teams in the premier league square against each other in an epic fa.cup semi final game as winner takes all.
The fa.cup is the oldest club competition in the world established in 1875 about 146 years ago with Manchester united and arsenal being the most successful sides winning 12 titles each.
THE JOURNEY
[CHELSEA FC]
Chelsea fc started their 2016/17 fa.cup campaign with a 4-1 victory over Peterborough united courtesy of goals from batshuayi, willian and a brace from Pedro. The team progressed to the fourth round to beat Brentford's 4-0 to set up a epic fifth found tie with current premier league champion Leicester city, the game truly lived up to expectations as Chelsea fc were winners 4-2. IMPACT ON PREMIER LEAGUE TABLE
Arguably Chelsea fc and Tottenham have been the best sides in the EPL this season, with Chelsea fc top of the table with a 4 point gap between the two teams and there are 6 more games before the end of the league. The outcome of today's game would have a huge implication on the premier league table, a victory for Chelsea fc will see the premier league race go down to the last 2 games or last game of the season as Tottenham players would make sure they do not suffer 2 times to the bitter-arch rival Chelsea. On the other hand a victory for Tottenham hotspurs means it is safe to say the premier league title race is over. Although both teams know this is a semi-final clash.
VERDICT
Both teams have enjoyed contrast or opposing times at Wembley, for Chelsea fc Wembley is their second fortress aside stamford bridge and they have enjoyed more victories than defeats there. On the other hand, Wembley has been a nightmare for Tottenham hotspurs, with plans to renovate their stadium Tottenham moved to Wembley for their games in Europe and it has been nothing short of a disaster. Going with thos chelsea fc should won. On the other hand tottenham hotspurs are a better team than chelsea currently and they have little or injury less worries and this should be an added advantage to tottenham.
A tough one to predict, a draw would be fair to both sides.

For youngers to play, FANS have to be patient.....

Much have been said about teams like Chelsea and Manchester city for having a large buck of youngsters, but have failed to progress them to the first team or giving them little or less first team game actions. Chelsea fc and the likes have received serious backlash in the last few years for having a large number of youngsters, but few of them have made it to the first team. But in the real sense, football fans of this clubs have played a major or huge role in this youngsters getting limited playing time and they have to be patient.
The recent coming of billionaires into football has worsen the matter as club owners and especially fans want quick success and trophies and to achieve this established players are needed. I have witnessed on many occasions as a Chelsea fan where the fans criticise anotio conte substitution when any youngster is being called upon claiming we need player like terry, fabregas and the likes in this game not loftus cheek or chalobah and yet we claim this players are not getting much game time. For youngsters and academies to progress and function well huge sacrifice must be made such as many defeat and maybe years of winning no trophy and the fans must be patient enough to this young lads grow and develop into superstars.

Barcelona is out of the champions league without scoring a goal in 180 minutes. This were the words of a reporter as i stay glued to my radio due to the norm in Nigeria 'no light' and am not a fan of both clubs.
After the game something struck me about the Barcelona team
'how will a barca team not score a single goal in 180 minutes of football??'
No disrespect to the juventus side, but this is a clarion call to Barcelona about how the famous la masia team has gone down in the last few years, this team has produced the finest and the best footballers to ever grace the football field but in the last few years they have failed to produce players who will replace the old guards of the la masia graduate. A xavi, fully fit and in form iniesta coupled with a young lionel messi would have made a difference in today's game but an old iniesta with an aging lionel messi also with the absence of the pass master xavi who is currently enjoying his retirement benefit in Qatar cost Barcelona a record they never wanted for themselves.. The defeat to juve might be a tip of the ice berg if Barcelona fails to revive the famous la masia...

My take on today's game
Gone are the days when Chelsea fc vs man.utd is a traditional top four game. The recent cash injection into teams like city, the resurgence of Tottenham hotspurs and Leicester city going against all odds to win the premier league title changed the norm of top four in the premier league.
Manchester united started the season with former Chelsea fc fans favourite José mourinho after the departure of Louis van gal, while Chelsea fc started with Italian antonio conte following a dismal performance last season which aw them create an unwanted record.
man.utd performance this season has been below par, as they have been tagged the '6th' club, Chelsea fc on the other hand, have been excellent after back to back losses to arsenal and Liverpool respectively going on ten games unbeaten run, accumulating 8 clean sheets in the process before it was ended by in-form and second placed Tottenham.
Todays game definitely would go down as one of the best in premier league history as i will highlight the high and low point of each side in today game.
MANCHESTER UNITED

* Man.utd in today game would hope to revenge the back to back losses to Chelsea's in the league and fa.cup respectively by going all out against a weak Chelsea fc in the goal keeping area as Thibaut courtois has been ruled out of today game few minutes ago.
* Chelsea fc striker Diego Costa has diminished in form since he was reportedly linked to China in January which has made Chelsea to rely to the star man eden hazard. Costa is expected to have a bad day today, and this has made it a little bit easy for united defence who have only hazard to look out for and probably Pedro. (LOW)
*Man.utd will play with players who are tired following a 1-1 draw with Anderlecht on Thursday and this might affect their performance as against Chelsea fc players who had a whole week to train and rest.
*Man.utd and José mourinho might consider the Europa league more important. With the recent changes made by uefa to its rules which means Europa league winners will automatically qualify for the champions league the following season and also their dismal performance in the premier league which gas seen them placed '6th' all season might affect their game.

*Chelsea fc would hope to continue their good form in the league and extend their unbeaten record over united.
*After a reported bust-up between mourinho and some of the current crop of this Chelsea team when he was manager last season, the players would be hoping to beat their former boss once again.
*Conte and his boys would hope to create another record. after creating one when they played man.city few weeks ago, they would hope to create one again today. Also the blues this season hasn't lost to any team from Manchester.

*Thibaut courtois is out injured for todays game and this might cost Chelsea a point or 3 as asmir begovic has failed to impress since his move from stoke.
*Diego Costa has been misfiring recently and this might be a good outing for united defence.
MY VERDICT.
With the build ups to this game, i see a red card for both or either sides and an early goal.
I think Chelsea fc will win 2-1
