When MTN Nigeria announced the Aeroplane Promo, I was among of those who said " its a lie", but it seems it is true.

The leading mobile operator announced the winner of the brand new aeroplane today, and the winner is "Miss Ebube Essien-Garricks, a 27 year old student based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to MTN on their Facebook Page, when they contacted the lucky winner on phone, she said she would prefer the cash equivalent of N64 million.

A Chinese Man divorced and at the same time sued his wife earlier this year for being ugly has recently won the lawsuit.

The man whose name was identified as Jian Feng said his issues with his wife’s looks only began after the couple’s daughter was born. Feng was appalled by the child’s appearance, calling her “incredibly ugly” and saying she resembled neither one of her parents.

Wife later confessed that she had plastic sugery whe Feng said she has been cheating on him.

It seems there is going to be a pandomoium in Funke Akindele's Marrigage, A lagos Trader just confirmed that she is pregnant for her husband.

A report just confirmed that Modinat Nike Dada, who is a trader in Lagos (cloth merchantat Oshodi) is seven months pregnant for Funke Akindele’s husband, Kehinde Oloyede, E24-7 MAGAZINE authoritatively reveal.

Modinat who is in her late 30s and mother of two boys and popularly known as Mama Dayo, was formerly married to a man simply known as Dayo. Both have since separated. The marriage crashed some years back due to irreconcilable differences and alleged domestic abuse. Some sources alleged that her former hubby was a wife beater.

Modinat had to leave the man and joined her elder sister, when the situation became life threatening.


Her former hubby, Dayo, was a graduate of Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta. Not a few family members were surprised to know that the marriage did not last because they were like two inseparable lovebirds when they were dating.

The former hubby took the two children away from her and kept them in her mother’s custody in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. Though life threw a big storm at her, she found solace in the love and care from her immediate siblings who were not only always around her but promptly responds to her needs. Modinat in her late 30s quickly picked her life up and became industrious. She traded in some fast consuming goods which she was selling in wholesale to retailers.

When she finally moved to her sister’s shop, her path crossed with Kehinde Oloyede, popularly known as Kendoo. Incidentally, Kendoo , a property merchant is the landlord of her sister’s shop in Oshodi. He found in her a good and amiable friend and as fate would have it, she found herself in his arms.

Modinat and Kendoo instantly became an item and they were seen together at some of their close friends’ private parties.

The romance thickened, they shared great moments together and there was pressure to get pregnant. Not once or twice inside sources said the Ota, Ogun State-born trader was accompanied to several spiritualists and gynecologists by Kendoo in their bid to seal their romance with a baby.

Sometimes in March, she got pregnant and filled with joy, she announced to her lover-boy, who close sources said was not ecstatic about it. “He practically took off, he stopped coming to her house, shunned all entreaties and stopped picking her calls,” E24-7 MAGAZINE’s source hinted.

The following month, Modinat was shocked to read in magazines and newspapers that Kendoo wanted to marry the Return of Jenifa’s star actress, Funke Akindele. She was devastated, flustered but once again, her family rose and stood firmly behind her.

In the last few months, Modinat has been under intense pressure to keep her mouth sealed and advised to avoid the media. Sources close to her confirmed that she has been inundated with calls by several people close to the famous actress, Funke Akindele, to keep a low profile and keep the ‘family’s’ dirty linen away from the public.

She has been promised juicy offers if she delivers without spilling the bean and grudgingly she has accepted. Modinat, who currently lives in a tastefully furnished apartment in Agege area of Lagos has accepted her fate and rejoices in the fact that the baby she is expecting would bring joy back to her again.

Since her former hubby took her two boys away she has not set her eyes on them, she feared the estranged hubby might move them abroad and cut her links to them forever. Her consolation is in the baby she’s expecting to be her companion in years to come.

As it were, Funke Akindele’s hubby with five kids already is expecting in the next few months three additional children in his harem. His second wife, Fadekemi is in the last trimester of her pregnancy and is due to deliver soon.

Modinat will also have her baby latest in December latest while Funke, reported to be in her first trimester is expected to deliver mid-July 2013.

A 28 year old single mother and four other suspected drug traffickers are currently taking a rest at NDLEA's net over alleged ingestion of 398 wraps of narcotics.

The suspects were caught by men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) Abuja with drug weighing 7.1kg consist of 1.1kg of methamphetamine and 6kg of cocaine.

Mr Hamisu Lawan who is the current NDLEA Commander gave the names of the suspects as Udoka Peace Egbuchelam, 28 year old single mother who ingested 73 wraps of methamphetamine weighing 1.1kg; Ezechi Chinedu Nwabueze, 45 years old who ingested 95 wraps of cocaine weighing 2kg and Uzoukwu Uzomba Joel, 54 years old who ingested 85 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.5kg. Others are Obiora Boniface Okechukwu 36 years old who ingested 91 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.6kg and Eze Onyebuchi Everest 32 years old who swallowed 54 wraps of cocaine weighing 900 grammes.

According to Hamisu, apart from Udoka Peace Egbuchelam and Ezechi Chinedu Nwabueze who were to board Ethiopian Airline flights to Malaysia and Istanbul other suspects were caught during inward screening of passengers.

The only female among the five suspects said that she wanted enough money to pay for tuition fees of her 5 year old daughter. In her words, “I wanted to pay the school fees of my daughter. Since my arrest, I have been worried because I do not know how she is coping without me. The people that gave me the drug promised to pay me the sum of 2,700 dollars” Udoka stated. Udoka Peace Egbuchelam hails from Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State. She attended Nza Central School Uzobulu and Girls Secondary School Uzobulu.

Ezechi Chinedu Nwabueze a trader that sells shirts in Benin Republic ingested 95 wraps of cocaine weighing 2kg. He hails from Uzowani Local Government Area of Enugu State. “I am the only child of my parents. My problem began when my shop got burnt and nobody was willing to help me. I was to deliver the drugs in Istanbul, Turkey” he stated.

Another suspect, Uzoukwu Uzomba Joel left Brazil with 85 wraps of cocaine weighing
1.5kg in his stomach. His reason for smuggling cocaine according to him is frustration and sickness. He left Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Doha, Cairo and Abuja. Other suspects that attempted smuggling drugs from Brazil are Obiora Boniface Okechukwu and Eze Onyebuchi Everest.

Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade said that the single mother would have been killed if she was caught outside the country because of the capital punishment for drugs in Malaysia. He urged members of the public to avoid drug trafficking. “We are happy to prevent the untimely death of another Nigerian over drug trafficking” Giade stated.[/b]
