Over a week ago, I opened a thread where I was asking about the fate of Molue in Lagos and where I could find them. https://www.nairaland.com/8594370/there-still-molue-lagos I went to Bolade in Oshodi and found a lot of Molues and I decided to take one and have an experience of it after over 2 decades. Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzBC-AF7grw

Finally, I found a Molue and was able to take a ride on It https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzBC-AF7grw |
olaiya2007:I live in Lagos and have not seen any in years. I wonder where they are. |
I don't know if this is the appropriate section for this topic... I want to do a documentary on MOLUE buses and want to know if they're totally scrapped. Like is there anyone left even if it's one and if so, where do they ply. Thanks

I paid a visit to Burkina Faso's First Indigenous Electric Vehicle Company https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDQ6nPLMppw |
A lot has been said about what President Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso is doing. So, I decided to travel over 40 hours by road from Nigeria. I documented my trip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXyor8znQbU For one, the trip was very long and tiring but I persevered and got to Ouagadougou, the capital after two days. I went there because I wanted to see what the hype was about President Ibrahim Traore and Burkin Faso. The first thing I noticed is that the terrain of Burkina Faso is very similar to the terrain of Northern Nigeria. The country did not look that much developed but I noticed that a lot of thinga were been put in place by the Presodent. |
Is Zoo estate still the most expensive estate in Enugu? I went there and apart from the location, I didn't see why it's the most expensive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cqdlk090_z8 |

TRIP 3: LOME, TOGO TO ACCRA GHANA We left Lome, the capital of Togo and headed to our 3rd West African country, Ghana.. The border between Togo and Ghana is Aflao and it's at the edge of Lome, so it's not far at all from town. Aflao is one of the most notorious borders in West Africa and I experienced first had why it's so. When I got to Aflao, after stamping out of Togo and stamping into Ghana as usual. I entered Ghana and on the Ghana side, I decided to change some money and the man that was changing the money attempted to cheat me by using a scam that I was already familiar with. Here's how the SCAM works: Let's say you want to change $100 to Cedis, after giving you the cedis equivalent and after counting and you confirm that it's complete, they'll find a way to collect the money back from you and once you give them, they will take out some notes without you realizing and give back to you and they do, you might not bother counting it again. Infact, I caught this guy in the act and I CAPTURED IT ON CAMERA. Watch the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfYtx4OLrzw After I was done at the border, I entered a car that took us from the border to Accra Ghana which took about 5 hours. |
TRIP 2: COTONOU, BENIN REPUBLIC TO LOME, TOGO After a few days in Cotonou, Benin, I took a car from Cotonou to Lome, Togo and it was the same story at the borders. I paid to stamp out of Benin and Stamp into Togo. The trip was about 5 hours in total. I booked an apartment on AirBnb and the apartment looked nice but on getting there I realized the apartment was located in a local place. I didn't mind so much but just laughed about it because the way the location was presented online was totally different from how it was offline. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cza65N-_1oY Lome, Togo has a beautiful coastline. Actually one of the most beautiful in West Africa. |
TRIP 1: LAGOS, NIGERIA TO COTONOU, BENIN REPUBLIC The first trip was from Lagos, Nigeria to Cotonou, Benin republic and this was the shortest of all the trips. I took a bus from Mile 2 to Badagry and then from Badagry to Seme Border and after crossing the border, I took a cab from the border to Cotonou. The entire trip besides the time wasted at the border did not exceed 3 hours. I paid money at the Nigerian border for stamping and also paid money at the Benin border for the same thing. Note that to have a smooth travel experience, you need to be ready to pay at all the borders you cross. Till now I don't know if these payment are sanctioned by Ecowas or not. Cotonou, Benin Republic actually surprised me. I didn't expect it to be that developed. It was actually a decent city overall. The only issues I had was the language barrier but luckily sometimes, I found someone that could speak Yoruba. So it helped.

In a few months, likely in June (barring any changes), I and 3 other people will be driving from Lagos through about 10 West African countries and terminate in Senegal. We intend to spend between 2 days to 7 days in each country we arrive at. The trip will likely take a month or two. This will be my first time of going on such an expedition expedition. I you have driven along this route and/or have any suggestions to proffer, that will be nice. Mynd44 Dominique lalasticlala |
