Yahoo Yahoo Boys as they are referred to as in Nigeria are Internet Fraudsters and scammers who obtain money from unsuspecting victims under false pretense. In Nigeria today, The population of Yahoo Boys is way higher than that of the Graduates. Everybody is striving to reap where they did not sow. The frustration that goes through the mind of Salary Earners when they see this Fraudsters is quite disheartening. The Scammers are on the Increase everyday by day. Below are the top cities where you can find most of these con men in Nigeria. 10. Abuja Yes, their are a good number of internet fraudsters in Abuja, a city known to be controlled by political money bags. These fraudsters who are seen as Abuja big boys by virtue of the fact that they are relatives of some big politicians or claim to work in one government ministry or the other, actually use those as a cover for their illegal activities. 9. Abeokuta, Ogun State This is a town with a growing number of youth interest in online scam. These young men sometime in 2014 hacked into an Ogun state owned account and stole millions of Naira. This could anyway be attributed to poor security system with the bank in question. 8. Kaduna, Kaduna State Kaduna is another town with a growing number of yahoo boys. There has even been reports of attempts to steal the identity of the new Governor Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai. 7. Awka, Anambra State The scammers here who are majorly undergraduate students appears to have been gradually deserting the town as security operative had busted them many times in the past and had continued to be on their trail. 6. Enugu, Enugu State Enugu is a place where yahoo boys are growing in their number as the city has quiet estates and accommodations where these young men hide away to carry out their illegal jobs without easily getting noticed. 5. Owerri, Imo State A large number of Yahoo boys can be found in Owerri. They are well known in major hotel within the city where they go to squander their money on women. They also ride flashy cars around the city with people usually hailing them. 4. Warri, Delta State Internet scam is so popular among the youths in Warri, Asaba, and other major towns in Delta state that they even impersonate their state governor without fear. 3. Port Harcourt, Rivers State Port Harcourt is a place where internet scam is fast becoming a hobby. You will hardly see a young boy who doesn’t know someone involved in this ugly activity. Even with the increase in the number of people captured by the EFCC there, they appear not to be perturbed. 2. Benin City, Edo State Benin is a known hotspot for the so-called Yahoo guys. Young boys of different age groups here engaged in online dating of foreigners particularly widows. They use different pseudo names and pictures to deceive their prospective victims. They also believe in charm helping them to hit their “maga” easily. 1. Lagos Lagos is the headquarters of Internet Fraudsters in Nigeria. Virtually every corner of Lagos, from Lekki to the mainlands, has these con men who refer to themselves as “Gee Boys” meaning guys with swags and knows what’s up. The biggest amongst them own houses and live very expensive lifestyles in Lagos. What do you think guys? Which City in Nigeria do you think is missing on this List? For Me => Osogbo is also loaded with Yahoo boys but did not make this list because their number is low compare to that of the Other Top 10 Cities listed above. Drop your comment. |

Be Very Honest: Oladips Vs Davolee: Who Is A Better Rapper? Oladips and Davolee shares a lot in common having been both signed by two top Nigerian indigenous Yoruba rapper; Olamide and Reminisce. Oladips is signed to Reminisce’s label, EDGE Record while Davolee is signed to Olamide’s YBNL. They both rap in a similar pattern which is the street influenced yoruba rap style and they have a massive following on the street. They are both individually groomed by their progenitor, Olamide and Reminisce and in the future they might emerge as the new Kings of the street. Oladips is a talented young Nigeria rapper who has been underground and underrated for a very long time. I have personally been following his music for a while now before the fame. When you talk of rap ingenuity and lyrical prowess with deep rhetorical message then you need to give it up to this young man. He has paid his dues to the industry. Oladips has been the most consistent rap artiste I’ve known during my 4 years of music blogging. A month hardly goes by without him dropping a song and he has been doing this for a very long time before Reminisce discovered him. He was also very active on the street by attending various street music shows, featuring on different artistes songs and even competing in various rap battles/competitions like D’banj’s “The King Is Here” competition where he emerged the winner. Oladips is an exceptional young rapper who has a lot to prove with his music. Davolee is the latest addition to Olamide’s YBNL and his rise to fame is one that shocked the world. From hawking pure water on the street of Mushin to becoming a rap star signed to the one of Nigeria’s biggest record label. Davolee is also a young rapper who is just 22 years old and he has been grooming his talent for a very long time but luck shone on him when he did a freestyle “Festival Bar” on instagram which caught Olamide’s attention and later signed him to his record label. Davolee has been keeping it real on the street even before the fame and he remains loyal to street by churning out songs that the street would love. His “Panda” cover went viral and he hasn’t stopped impressing his fans as we await more blazing songs from the talented young lyricist. Oladips and Davolee are two very talented indigenous rappers who are making their mark on the rap scene and they are both loved on the street. Without a doubt you would agree with me that they are among the top contenders for the position of King of The Street which Olamide and Reminisce both hold for now. But who do think is a better rapper between these two rappers without being biased. Share your thoughts on the topic by leaving your comments below.

Feb 14th was Valentine's Day. From breakfast in bed to kissing festival, check out five things that happened in the Big Brother Naija house. Check them out below; 1. The male housemates woke up early to surprise the ladies in the House with a special Valentines breakfast treat. The breakfast was received with much delight from the girls, as they gave the boys hugs and kisses, while 2Face’s track titled “African Queen” played in the background. 2. Still in the Valentine's Day mood, the Housemates were treated to a visit from Mr Nigeria, Emmanuel Ikubese. 3. The Housemates who enjoyed the first kissing festival thought it would be a good way to celebrate valentine’s day with another session of the festival. With the ladies gathered outside in the Jacuzzi, the guys headed outside and before they could all jump in, ThinTallTony and Bisola kicked off the festivals by sharing the first kiss of the night. 4. After the kissing festival, ThinTallTony and Bisola decided to call it a night as they both cuddled up and fell asleep. TBoss spent a few minutes massaging Jon’s feet while they chatted on the couch, while Gifty and Uriel discussed Ese's laughter which they find annoying. 5. During an interesting diary session, Ese said she liked TBoss and ThinTallTony, but found Gifty a little too annoying. ThinTallTony admitted to have a soft spot for Bisola because they got along like a house on fire. Uriel took shots at TBoss for hoarding Jon all to herself. She admitted that she kind of liked Jon for herself too. Bally says TBoss has found a replacement for Miyonse in Jon.

The name is “Boko Haram war”, but Boko Haram did not start the war; the Fulani-Muslim hegemony that took undue advantage of the Presidency of Umaru Yar’Adua to attack Boko Haram in 2009 did. The sect founded itself on the need to reject the inhumanities perpetrated by the status quo dominated by powerful Muslims, with particular reference to northern Nigeria. The ranka deede culture created by the Fulani-Muslim political elite enslaves the common people, and reduces them to paupers in a land flowing with milk and honey. The rejection adopted by the Boko Haram sect issued not in violent opposition, but in a life of communal seclusion with which the status quo became uncomfortable, and seclusion is also said to be un-Islamic, while Nigeria’s constitution guarantees religious freedom for citizens. The Yoruba say goats prevent farming around town; wild animals prevent farming in distant forests; what does one do? That has been the case of Boko Haram. The foregoing notwithstanding, the word, “terrorism” or “insurgent”, never existed in Nigeria’s lexicon until the former deputy to Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan truncated rotational presidency, taking undue advantage of the death of Yar’Adua, to deny the North-West of the second term enjoyed by the South-West, 1999-2007. Jonathan appealed to his religious and ethnic connections. Nigeria’s politics is thus ruled by opportunism and survival of the fittest. Under heavy inducement, many Nigerians denied that there was anything called rotational presidency. Ditto the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, and the former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu! The northern protests after Jonathan was declared the winner in 2011 compounded the Boko Haram crisis. The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria started pouring invectives on Boko Haram, and the latter responded by bombing churches, until I reminded it: Church-bombing was never your target; innocent Christians never opposed your secluded lifestyle! In a war situation, Boko Haram has been doing its best attacking police and army headquarters that are used against it by the powers that be. Unfortunately, Boko Haram has also bombed markets, popular parks, etc. Is it not written that when sinners are punished, innocent people will share from it? The Yoruba also say you should face somebody you can subdue. But, why exactly do Nigeria’s rulers prefer opportunism/survival of the fittest to political order, war to dialogue? Why do economic scholars link economic recession to every other thing but corruption and war?
