It's unfortunate the bank of the scammer would ask the victim to go get police report etc before they can revile the scammers details, the rate of scammers on nairaland is becoming something else.

Always look out for new nairaland account just created recently or with few post, never pay money to any new account or Monika that is just opened just to make sales, the account should have been selling before and is like 2-5years old, with old timer of nairalanders using such person.

then find a wema bank branch nearest to you and make a report at the customer care. Tell them what transpired, that you paid the account owner to buy a phone but he didn't deliver it and scammed you. Then show them the payment transaction evidence and the chat between you. That you want your money back. They will help you
