If all through Wednesday till Monday, it did not overheat, why are you crying over someone's matter. Cars 45 requires you to bring a mechanic to collaborate their reports. And no one has said that what their mechanic discovered is different from the report. I will invite you to come with me when I decide to buy a naija used Range Rover Sport but right now, I am saving to buy an American or Swiss used Range Rover Sport. I dont trust the poor maintenance crew. They might even be using 20w50 oil on a range( God forbid)

Nigerian used cars should never be relied on because the owners always cut corners with the maintenance while it is theirs, looking for short cuts. And when they are selling, 90% of us are not selling because we bought another car but because the wahala on car matter is becoming like a devourer in their finances, they offload the car to others for their peace of mind and cars45 are there to take that wahala from poor maintenance crew. Haha. The only naija used car that I will ever buy is a range rover and not the run down the mill cars that nigerians have destroyed before trying to sell it off. The op showed the front pic of the car and the report and according to her, after 4 days it was ready for business. The mechanical report of the car is 89% and the car overheated on the 2nd day of uber business. Why did it not overheat on the day the uber driver took it away? Did the driver check the coolant level? According to the op, she never told us if she changed the oil or flushed the coolant for a car that has been on the lot for sometime now. They took the car to a rewire, who in the process of trying to tropicalise the car found out that it was already tropicalised and decided to undo the first to impose his own method on the car which results in too many wires. I have checked a corolla and I did not see the space for too many wires. The experience of the op can never fall on me, maybe on you because you are prone to bring a driving expert to come and inspect a car for you when the rules says that you should bring a mechanic along.

Dont provoke the seller o. He claims that it is the best oil. There are only two grades of synthetic. Extended performance and advanced full synthetic oil. Look for these types and be rest assured.

I was at the cars45 inspection centre in lekki in January this year for an evaluation

someone brought a gl450 that was leaking oil and the inspection guy didn't notice despite the obvious smell of burning oil....he confessed not to know the smell,and after further checks confirmed the leakage

this same person said the car I took there had a tapping noise in his report......engine problem probably right?only,the said ride is a diesel engine

They state the problems and the good part too. So that you are well informed before buying. They even tell the buyer to bring his mechanic. Mind you buying a naija used car does not mean you wont spend money to rectify the faults stated in the report, even tokunbo cars still need money to fix some issues like changing the oil but these buyers have admitted that they never read the report before paying for the car. That whitewashed report, no buyer has disputed it wasn't true. Like the guy from Akwa ibom that bought a car and never read the report and even proceeded to travel back without changing even the oil of the car. I know when people are traveling to their village, they put their cars in order so as to avoid embarassment on the way but someone bought a car that he did not read the report and proceeded to travel that same day with the car without even changing any fluid. That is cars45 fault abi?

I am struggling to understand your question because the report you are talking about, it is only the lady that has seen it. Even the car is no longer hers, someone else has bought it. So where is the exhibit and why has the new buyer not commented once to support her story? If you have seen the report, show us then we will see and adjust our position.

They took a car to mechanic who told them gear was gone and engine faulty and they sold the car just like that to someone who came from Akwa-Ibom not minding at where he may get stranded.

Car 45 is not just a scam company, it is one without conscience.

It's not just that they scam people, scam is their business model for reaping super profits from their auto-sales outfit.

These guys need to be shut down

Ask afangsoup if the mechanic claimed it was cars45 that brought the car to him or the previous owner? In Cotonou, which one of you is given the car that he wants to buy to take it out and test drive?

You just indirectly acknowledged that cars45 do buy a lot of junk cars. They then get middlemen (agents/dealers) to sell scrap to unsuspecting customers or people with no flair for troubleshooting automobiles on a commission basis. At the end of the day,they absolve themselves of any liability and direct you back to the middlemen.

Naija used cars with wrong oil, tiny plugs irrespective of number, thermostat removed, fan permanently on, air filter clogged, using seahorse as gear oil, using abro for power steering fluid, using winter tyes and all season tyres on the same car and when the end result is giving the owners nightmare, they look for a place to sell. The used car dealers will put the car in their shop for months telling them that no buyer o and will be using the car in the meantime adding 6 litres all the time thus ruining the nozzles. Then after 3 months of waiting, the owner because he has been made carless, decides to sell the car and get his money instantly. Cars45 will evaluate and pay the seller instantly and will advertise the same car without repairing the defects, documenting all the pros and cons. Their strong online presence made afangsoup(now 4 days old soup) to leave his base to buy from their yard. That is the state of naija used cars and that is why we should make everyone follow the owner's manual for proper maintenance because our friends or relations might buy these crappy cars as their first car.

I am not a dealer nor a friend of cars45, maybe one day I might be and I am not currying any favour from them except that I admired a Range Rover sport in their yard which it is very impossible to be given to me free of charge. You asked a question about the two conflicting reports the op claimed was given to her. Maybe she sent the copies to you but on this thread, nothing like that. I have asked who she gave the car to, to put in order for Uber action and what they did on the car? All she could say was that she changed the four tyres and what if it was the negligence of the mechanic that caused the overheating? If we all want justice for her, let her paste the copies of the different reports given to her and let us see if cars45 are at fault.

@helpishere, I did an underground search and i discovered previous owner was an offshore engineer. i called him and he told me he bought that car himself in usa, he used it and shipped it here he serviced it with mobil 1 and fusch personally. he gave it to his brother when he was relocating back to usa. back in akwa ibom, my mech is competent and i still get advices from kingreign. now you see you're a busy lice.

And yet the engine knocked and the gear refuses to move when it is hot. For an engine that was serviced regularly. So between the time he relocated and when you bought it, his brother was using mobil 2. And you must have topped the oil with mobil hxp opposite them and bought fuel and with your competent mechanic, you entered the road. Did the mechanic at Ladipo tell you that it was cars45 that brought the benz to him or the previous owner? Did cars45 in the report that was given to you which you refused to read, tell you that the gear and engine are in excellent shape like the body of the car? Who come be mumu pass between you and the op? You carry mechanic go and una car knock engine same day. Op carry driving expert go there and the car overheat after one week. Na you be the mumu. Carry naija used car enter road to Akwa Ibom, not even to Ogere. Haba. Is there a better time to read car reports since you claimed it was late for you to read but yet you found time to trace the former owner by reading the documents given to you after you must have agonised over your ignorance. A Mercedes compressor is a supercharged version and so it does not tolerate our fuel and coupled with the 20w50 oil, the engine will pack up followed by the gear. It is glaring that the previous owner having destroyed his car thru his stinginess quickly offloaded the car on them and the new buyer had to rectify what the previous buyer did. Is it cars45 error of judgement buying such a car? Now you are crying fraud and you are not taking any initiative to stem the root cause of why naija used cars are crappy. The oil, the plugs and the many ignorance of the practitioners in the field. If your mechanic could not detect sludge in that engine before allowing you to pay, then he is the Uyo version of kazeem. And you are blaming cars45 for buying the car in that dismal state and selling in that same state. I think they should engage good mechanics as their consultants to verify cars before they purchase it from the owners. Go to the housing estate on the road to Ibom hotel and tell the woman there to give you correct afang soup and not the 2 days own wey you call yourself. I go pay
