Any help answering this? Hemstone: |
Please, what is this type of window in the first picture called. I know it is a casement window but not aluminum, but metal. The second picture and the window above was someone who decided to paint it and changed the glass to reflective glass instead of removing the window and buying/installing aluminum casement window afresh. Do you think this is better and to do for my window above or just replace?

How much does this type of roof in the first 3 pictures cost? The last picture with green longspan parapet is the building and instead of the high roofs that houses use now, we want to keep it simple and just like this brown one someone recently did. I want to know: 1. The price 2. Name it is the name called The building was built in 1990, has terrazo floor, and the size is just similar to 4 flats of those times. A rough estimate will do just fine and if you roof houses too, the project is in Ibadan and we can discuss further. Thanks

You don’t have to give a range, except you mean if the VO ask you. On the DS160, you don’t need to fill the person paying for the trip salary, just their name is needed. The salary there you need to fill is for the person traveling . I guess it would be different if you are the one traveling and also the one paying for your trip, meaning your salary must be reasonable for you to be able to sponsor yourself. I don’t know about the range for that. Adewaale: |

Were you able to get the visa and eventually travel? How long did it take and what did you eventually do to get it? MimieeCK: |
How long did it take for your passport to be ready after your visa approval? ThreeTee: |
Please, anyone who is privy to this should let me know. What is the current timeline like for visa to be ready for pickup after interview? B1/B2 which was approved in Lagos yesterday, October 29, 2024. Thanks Hemstone: |
Please, how long will it take for my mum’s passport to be ready after her approval in Lagos Embassy yesterday, October 29, 2024. Thanks |
I am the son but I used my sister as the one paying. She didn’t go with any bank statement of account too. mobbwc: |
Okay, tell him how to update it then. damkanlinsin: |
You can no longer do that. You will go with the two DS160 and they will help you update it on the interview date. My mum did that today as well. Gbxbhhsjwjbrbfb: |
Thanks so much for this information. She went to Lagos today and her visa was approved. Questions asked (Note she is 62 years and coming to the US to visit her son) 1. Where are you going to - To visit my son at city, State. 2. Are you going for medical reasons (She uses a walking stick due to a previous accident) - She said no 3. Who is paying for the trip? - She answered based on the name on her DS160 which we already coached her on. 4. How long will you be staying - 3 weeks 5. How many children do you have - 4, only one in the US 6. Do you have grandchildren - Yes, four grandkids Then the VO said - I will be approving your visa. It’s her first time and she has never travelled abroad before. Now, please how do I get her passport back because I want her travel latest November 20, 2024. She’s coming for my wedding and that is time sensitive. What is the best way to get the passport early? Thanks everyone 🙏 love2born: |
My day one embassy is Lagos flourishing247: |
Please, this is urgent. I scheduled a visa interview for Lagos and the date was Feb 2025. When I migrated to the new AVITS platform the date there became October 29, 2024 with the location as Abuja and it showed me that I have 2 reschedule(s) available. This changed on its own back to Lagos for October 29,2024. So same date but different location. It was like that for three weeks and my interview is on Tuesday. I logged in now and saw that it changed again to Abuja October 29, 2024 and now 3 reschedule (s) available. I didn’t do anything on it and everything was changing on its own. I have opened a ticket for this and nothing has been done. I don’t even know what to do or where the interview is happening. Also, curious to know if anyone has experienced this or complained about it?

Thanks a lot, I appreciate what you do here. OyoTunjiUSA: |
I am a student currently on STEM OPT. I graduated in 2023, done with OPT and now 3 months into my STEM OPT. My mum wants to visit me and her interview is next month. I have three questions. First, the DS160 on her current appointment letter was not completed because I was disappointed when I bought the MRV last year December and saw dates are 2025. I didn’t know that it expires in 30 days. Now on the new platform, it seems that can’t be updated. It used to be when I traveling 2021 because I remember still updating about 5 days before the interview in 2021. What are my options? 2. I intend to be the one paying for my mum’s trip on her DS160. Is there any downside to this? I have worked for over 16 months and capable of and she’s gonna be staying with me. Just wanna know if that is a red flag. 3. My mum’s DOB on my DS160 was August 8, 1961 but her passport is September 15, 1962. The issue really is that she doesn’t know her birth month and date as back when she grew up, their parents just tell them the season they were born and not exact months and dates. She used to use August 8 as her birthday but she later switched to September 15 which is our last born’s birthday. So what can be done in that case? Affidavit? Or it’s irrelevant? Thanks! |

Stop spreading misinformation. A friend of mine still renewed her visa just few weeks ago and she’s on OPT with expired F1 Visa. Zerohard: |
Please, is it possible to change the burglary proof of this type of tradition windows to be inside instead of outside. Secondly, can a casement window be installed instead while the concrete contour outside is removed? What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing such and if you have done it before kindly provide pictures, you can get the job done for me. Thanks

Good day everyone, thanks for all you do. Please, I have a few questions. I came to the US as a student in 2021 August, and I graduated in May, 2023. After graduation, I got married to my gf who is an American citizen in June 2023, and she also came to the state where I schooled for postgraduate education, just like me. She graduated a year before me and even though she had a job offer waiting for her in her state, she stayed back to start another work in that state because she wanted to stay with me while I am still a student, and still have a year to round up my program. I started working in July, 2023 as a consultant after graduation, and we now live together. What we did in June 2023 was an official court validated wedding with our families joining via zoom. It was just me and her and the officiating pastor. However, her family owns a church in her state and that is where almost all her family lives and we will be having a church wedding there in December 2024, and then a reception to follow, and I want my mother to be attending the ceremony (My dad is late). Also, even though my wife wanted me to, I haven’t applied for a green card and I work using my OPT for now. All these are just to give a proper context to everyone. So, my question are the following; 1. How soon enough can I start my mother’s B2 visa application considering appointment date issues? 2. Can she apply and go for the interview early next year, have the visa, and then travel in November next year? 3. Will booking an appointment date of let say March, 2024, which is 10 months in advance of the ceremony, jeopardize her chances of getting the visa? 4. What dates are people able to get currently as I don’t have an idea. I only remember that I had to initiate emergency in 2021 to get a favorable appointment date when I traveled on an F1 visa. 5. Since I am already married and what she’s coming for is our church wedding to honour my wife’s parents (she’s their first child and they are pastors so they want her to have a church wedding where their congregation can witness and bless), what will she say her reason for traveling is? 6. Will using my wife’s name as the sponsor increase her chances? 7. Can my wife file a green card for her while she’s out of the country? Is it necessary and will that be needed? Sorry for my elaborate questions 😔😔. Thanks in advance to those who will take out their time to give me answers. I appreciate you all. |
Ok thanks. I never knew I can travel with my MTN simcard. Thanks TitilayoAde: |
Thanks a lot. I would still expect more responses for other questions asked. Phaithy: |
Please how best can I access my funds in the USA? 1. Domiciliary account with dollar card (which banks is the best considering services and daily limit) 2. Is there others means apart from the dollar card? 3. How much cash can I carry on me while travelling that won't be an issue at the airport or port of entry? Also, how do I use my Nigerian sim card number for WhatsApp abroad? Thanks a lot |
