I'm a masters student, 24, male, cool, calm and very responsible.

Looking for a very affordable roomshare or Flatshare in London.... Somewhere close to Central London where my uni is. I don't mind a 30-40 mins travel.

Please guys I'd need your suggestions or referrals if you've got

I applied for a visa (priority) on the 16th of August, had my biometrics on the 17th of August and received a mail from the Home Office on the 18th of August.
I received the email below this afternoon:

Good Afternoon

Our ref: XXXXXX
Name of Applicant: XXXXXXXXXX
DOB: XXXXXX

Further to your application decision letter, I am writing to inform you that there has been a technical issue in producing your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) and it may not be available for collection on the date previously advised.

We have referred this to our technical team who are investigating the issue.
As soon as the issue is resolved we will contact you with a date for collection/delivery. If the issue is not resolved in 5 working days time, we will contact with an update of our progress.

For any further enquiries on this matter, please contact the BRP Technical Team at BRPOATECH@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

If your 1 month multi entry visa has expired, we advise you not to make travel arrangements until you have received your BRP. Please note your right to remain in the UK is not affected.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I am yet to receive a decision and collection mail.
Has anyone been in this situation before? Please, can you enlighten me on what to do? Thanks.

This should mean that you have been issued a Visa. You cant get BRP collection mail if you havent been issued a visa. Im not sure about this tho.

A friend got his BRP collection mail yesterday from his school even before collecting his visa today.

You should get your decision and collection mail early next week if not during the weekend.We share almost the same timeline

Application: 16 Aug (Priority)
Biometrics: 18 Aug (friday)
Sheffield and TLS mail : 21 Aug
Decision and collection mail: 7 sept
Decision: Visa Granted!

Documents submitted- UBA statement (2months) Employment reference letter, offer letter, BSC certificate, Tuberculosis cert, printout of my school's English assessment result.(Hope I didnt miss out anyone)

I share the same timeline with you. Just called ukiv and they said a decision has been made , I will be getting a mail for collection soon, so hopefully this week.

I submitted my visa application on the 17th of August, biometrics on 18th Aug. Got Sheffield mail on the 21st Aug....I used priority service.

I've not been able to check the status on UKVI site as my ref no isnt recognized.

Based on the present processing time, when should I expect decision and collection mails? So that I can finally sleep well na...lol

So I get that you will need the maintenance once you travel...

But Haba! Not everyone is able to cough out almost 16-20k pounds- (sometimes more) at a go and keep for that long (tuition and maintenance)

Doesnt mean we do not deserve good quality education too?

Lets be more empathic here. How many people are able to afford their living expenses for a year from the first month? Deff not everyone. So its indeed quite difficult for some people, particularly self funding students.

Lol.. I honestly wish I was able to leave it till the visa is out. But that wont be convenient for me. So i'm hoping for the best regardless.

Please has anyone removed their maintenance money from their accounts before their visa came out?

I didnt have a choice, I had to remove a large chunk of it once I printed out my statement. Some people say they don't ask for the acct balance when verifying, just the authenticity of the account and some transactions.

Kindly help share your personal experience as I'm really anxious.
