I'm disappointed to see this after many years of his break through, was he advised to to this or what?, certainly sure not from his original thought.

Good Day Siena and Happy New year, my car has been doing fine, but recently I observed power steering oil drops in my compound, took it to the mechanic and they said it was the hose had a leakage. They changed the hose, the leakage stopped but, the steering was very tight when engine is idling and goes very free when revving the engine or when in motion depending on engine rev, so they said I have to change the power steering pump that it is weak, which they changed today (08/01/2013), everything was fine initially, but they took the car for washing to clean the oil stains, getting back they said the steering is tight again that the pump has failed but they would return it and bring another. I am getting ..........., please advise on what you think might be wrong. My worry is that this was same issue we had after changing the hose and they said my pump was bad.

My opinion about this?, Most private cars owers in Logos dn not know hw to drive, the reason why they all jump on auto trans, slot to D and step on paddles.

I uses both auto and manual trans,but manual mostly due to economy and others, my colleagues that use auto trans are always complaining about ankle and knell pains, ask my WHY? They always hung their legs throughout the traffic, u ve the prevailege of execising ur legs up and down when u use manual trans.

THE BITTER TRUTH: A lot of us can't drive!!!, I stand to be corrected, but if you can't drive a manual trans and u drag an auto trans along anywhere u go and calls ur self a driver, you are just deceiving urself. As our politicians and NFF guys would always say, go back to the drawing board!!

Hello Sienna, trust work is fine, thanks for your advise the other time, my A6 is working just fine, except for d front mirrors, which I have decided to ignore for now cos of the price they told me to change the mirror engines (15k/door) and use AC al times also I always my kids with me most times. Guys, please I am planning of getting a form for Drilling Engineering under the Pet.Eng Dept, but it seems on line that the course is full time, just want to clarify if anyone has any ideal if I can go paert time with this course due to work and other matters. Thanks

@ Siena, Thanks once again, we have been able to deduced that my AC fan is not working, the reason why it cools but gets hot when one is in traffic, someone will come check it soon, for the power windows, they claim the engines are bad, I am finding it difficult to believe both engines can go bad at same time or perform poorly in same manner, i contacted the family friend I got the car from, he said the car was hung in a container, maybe the doors has been pressed a little,that the mirrors were working well before they loaded the car.

Anyway, I would take it step by step, no hurry, once i can get the fan fixed, would search for who understands these power windows.

@ Siena, thanks a lot, I was directed to a guy at Gbagada, would see him on Sat, they said he specializes on just Audi's and the likes,I called him and he said they can get it fixed, though he is not too clear with with explanation.

Also, I was asked to meet these Automedics guys that they are very good, but kind of general not a particular brand, which do you advise? I have been hearing of Automedics for some time now though. Thanks a lot, really appreciate.

@ Siena, thanks a lot for your advise, I still don't have a mechanic, still searching for a competent one, don't want to pass their incompetence to the car model. I discovered this morning that when I switched the AC on, it didn't come on when the car was idling and I check and just one fan was working, Radiator is clear, coolant level always same and blades are fine. It was when I started driving that the AC came on, temperature was at 90 still and AC was chilling till i got to the office, the traffic was next to nothing this morning from my end, so didn't idle for long at any time.

Yes, the lack of cooling coincides with the coolant temperature rising.

Please advise, if I should get someone to look at the AC and its fan?, but my worry is why do i have to move the car before the AC comes on?


For the clutch Pedal its half half from the floor with some throttling to above 1 rev, before any motion.

Good Day Mr Sienna, please i just got a 2000 Audi A6 Avant 5V Turbo, every thing is fine, but my AC doesn't work when teh car is idling, then the temperature will rise to like 100 degree C, but falls back when i continue moving, u know Lagos traffic. Please ur advise is really needed, i have to go on line to search before i could get your info

01) Both (Driver and passenger) front power windows not working properly, winding up sluggishly, then returns down
02) Coolant level normal, Aircon blows warm air when engine is idling and temperature gauge indicator increases
to like 100 degree C when engine is idling.
03) Clutch pedal must go more than half way and one need to throttle car to move from rest.
04) Idling rev is close btw the last line and 1
05) Few missing pixels on digital display.
