I was in Nigeria early this year so not too long.
before the recent visit to Nigeria, when did you left Nigeria ?

Why I ask, you act like it's been ages you left Nigeria. That lady can still make head way in life even as a young single mother if she is determined.

I have seen lots of people wey it destroyed their lives. How will a 23 yr old raise a child and couples are even struggling in Nigeria?

How will she continue with her career or look for jobs with a child to care for?

She has more chances abroad but in a Nigerian society, I will advise to safely abort a pregnancy than having an unplanned for or unwanted child. I like to be precocious.
Abeg, Sapa the senator, how long now you don comot from Nigeria ?

It is easy for you to say in theory.

A society like Nigeria, a single mum at such an early age is a very big disadvantage to the lady.
... Sapa the senator, no be Nigeria here you dey grow before you jakpa go where you dey now...?

You never see single mothers wey born at a young age with tough life challenges raising their babies and they made head way in life..

Sapa the senator, she making that mistake is not the end to a better future in her life.

She no be the first , and she won't be the last.

Consider terminating the pregnancy and be more careful in the future.

If you born that child and become a single mom, you may have successfully destroyed your future.

You are looking for who to dash your baby!
...becoming a single mother at a young age doesnt mean her future is destroyed. It doesn't mean she can't make head way in life again because of the fact.

There will be strong life challenges here and there for her and her baby but that doesn't mean she can't turn around the tide for good.

...But do you stutter?

It's not every conversation you are required to talk much, there are many you just listen Attentively, nod your head now and then, to let the person know you are with him/her. Ask questions.

Only talk when you know what you want to talk about. If you don't know, pay attention and ask questions,it's not a crime.

Learn to start mingling with people, even if you wouldn't talk, just listen and all that.

It's all about you being calm and develop self confidence. Believe in yourself.

... See that Ezzamgbo to 135 Axis before you enter Abakaliki. As at 2015-16, the value of a plot of land around that area close to the express road was around 200k-300k. Go that same area now, a plot of land around that same area dey go from 4M+ , more development is still coming in that direction.

Nice2023:
If u are a working class in Nigeria and u have some money, pls start investing for ur children.

Buy land for each of ur children now that they are tender...when they grow up,u can sell and use the proceed to sustain their career for them.

U may ask me which one have I done for myself, that isn't the problem.

I heard of a man who invested 500k for his three children after about 20 something years, those lands amounted to about 30million each and those children are in the USA where they are working today after having schooled there.

Invest in anything as well, such as long term bonds,Euro bonds and u see Nigeria working out something great for u.

... Very wise idea of investment for the future. As long as it is investing it in Land properties, the population is every growing.

Rural communities are turning into cities, new industries and infrastructures are springing up.
Expansions here and there.

Very wise idea.

Make I use Abakaliki here do small example.
Before Ex Gov. Dave Umahi became the Governor of Ebonyi State, Land properties were cheap in Abakaliki and it Environs but as Dave Umahi enter, before the end of his first tenure , prices of house rent and Land properties skyrocketed. Wetin happen ?

He used social infrastructures to turned rural communities in Abakaliki to big towns and cities.

It is not only happening in Abakaliki only...there are other places and states in Nigeria this kind of scenarios is happening.

Agriculture / Re: Farmers, How Are You Selling Your Maize? by henrimoto(m): 8:45pm On Jul 11
Ayemileto:

It should be at least 223 per bag on average.

The women used 4 of those big beans bags, and 3 of those 50KG rice bags.

I came up with the 223 figure because the women took 18 for N1,000, and they had 87 stacks after grouping the maize into 18 per stack.

(87x18) divided by 7 will give a little over 223 for each bag.

If we add an extra 50 for the stacks that are more than 18, then it can go up to 230 per bag on average.
You better stop selling the corn for now till you get the right information on how they actually buy those corn.

Na real shortage them wan run you so o. No be that kind bag them dey use buy corn for farm o.

100-120 is high o. Commerce doesn't work out like that. You sell to those who resell. If they overdoing the pricing process, consider taking it to towns around you, rent huge pots, buy firewood and cook it before selling at around N100 in order to recover you capital.
... Una go just dey out mouth for matter wey una no know, instead of una to read and learn.

Cooked corn price starts from #150-#200. Roasted corn na from #200 upward

One of the lies they told was that if they removed subsidy, it will liberalise the market and it will make the products flow in without hindrance and hence bring the prices down after some time.

I laughed at the above postulations when some of the public commentators were pushing this stupid narrative.

Same narrative was said for the devaluation of the naira...that it would rise but will eventually come down to about 600/700 to a dollar in a short while. This was emphasised several times by the current minister of finance. The thing is 1500 and rising

I knew they were deceiving the people...the gullible ones
