DAP (real name Dolapo Akinkugbe) is not your everyday musician. Armed with a degree from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, this classically trained pianist and producer/rapper is steady climbing up the international music scene. So it came as no surprise when the son of Finance expert Nimi Akinkugbe and brother of songstress Kaline was chosen as one of the 4 musicians worldwide to take part in the Converse Rubber Tracks series.
To celebrate this achievement, he was featured in a short film titled ‘The Undergraduate’. Here’s what urban music channel Noisey wrote about the film and DAP.

“On the surface it would seem like DAP lives two lives. A boarding school educated, Ivy League kid with ambitious parents trying to make it to law school by day and as an eclectic and passionate producer and rapper by night.
But for Dolapo Akinkugbe it’s all one. The Lagos-born musician was selected for the Converse Rubber Tracks series a couple of weeks before his law school entrance exams and his parents flew to London to make sure his head didn’t get turned away from his pre-ordained career path. So working with Mark Ronson at Abbey Road Studios, seeing the beats he laid down on his laptop come to life in an almost supernatural setting—that was all tied up with the rest of him. Superhero movies are way too simple.
Director Lofty Nathan gets all this up close. He’s in DAP’s face for the highs of the studio and the lows of familial confrontation, re-enacting his childhood and dusting off the past.
‘The Undergraduate’ is the second of four short films in the Converse Rubber Tracks series airing on Noisey each week, following the stories of four artists as they travel to world famous studios to work with legendary artists.”

It's been said if you want to run fast, you have to practice running fast. (What? Thought Ryan Hall or Lolo Jones got that quick with just luck?!) Read on for 25 ways to have a harder, better, faster, stronger workout, smoke the competition, and maybe even set a speedy new PR.
1. Nail good form.
The key to running (at any speed) is to practice proper running technique. That means keeping the upper body tall yet relaxed, striking the ground with the mid-foot landing under the hip, and swinging the arms forward and back (not side to side!) at low 90-degree angles.
2. Count your steps.
Get familiar with stride turnover, or the rate of steps taken while running, regardless of pace. The fastest, most efficient runners have a cadence of around 180 steps per minute and keep their feet close to the ground with light, short n' speedy steps. To find your magic number, run for one minute, count the number of times the right foot hits the ground, and multiply by two.
3. Get low, get high.
Short on gym time? Quick! Try speed training! Interval training, or alternating periods of high and low intensity while exercising, are just one way to build speed and endurance—and burn major calories in less time too!
4. Stride right.
There's a reason you see all those “real runners” doing short sprints before the big road race. Striders (or strides) are a series of comfortable sprints (usually eight to 12, between 50 to 200 meters each) to improve acceleration technique

Former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) and Flavor’s baby mama Anna Barner, in a recent interview speaks on how her life has changed since she had her baby.
The 20-year old mother in an interview with House of Maliq Magazine disclosed that: “motherhood changed everything about my life and largely in ways that I didn’t expect. It was a whole new experience. I was amazed at the instant bonding and how natural it felt to be a mother. It is the most rewarding, beautiful and joyous thing imaginable in this world and I wouldn’t change anything.”


Anna Barner, who gave birth to her baby girl on August, was reported to have been expelled from the middle sex university in Dubai United Arab Emirate (UAE) as the university and the Islamic country frown against pregnancy outside wedlock in 2013.

On Monday, January 3, the highlife singer and former Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria (MBGN), beauty queen, Anna Banner once again dedicated their daughter in church because Flavour missed the first baby dedication. The celebration was well attended by close friends of the lovebirds

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB UTME registration deadline for the year 2016 has been extended.

This is to inform the general public that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the year 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) registration closing date.

2016 UTME closing date that was initially slated for January 15, 2016, has been extended by another 16 days. So the new closing date for the 2016 UTME registration will be January 31, 2016...

Looks like militants are taking advantage of the call for the arrest Tompolo to cause mayhem in the Niger Delta region. Today, they continued with their bombing of oil installations in Warri South West LGA of Delta. They reportedly blew up the Abiteye flow station and Sagara to Chevron pipelines.

Many residents of the area have fled while some are said to be trapped. Tompolo has since denied being involved in the bombings...

The Diamond on the ring was too small. That's the apparent reason that could be deduced after a Chinese woman turned down her boyfriend's marriage proposal. The poor guy was down on one knee, proposed with a bunch of red roses, surrounded by dancers he’d hired specially for the event and was being watched by dozens of onlookers when his girlfriend turned and walked off.

At first, she seemed to be thrilled by the performance on a street in Chengdu, the capital city of south-west China’s Sichuan province, and at one point started to cry as her boyfriend walked towards her. But surprised everyone by walking away after seeing the ring her boyfriend was proposing with.

 In a screen shot of a message sent to her friend after the attempted proposal, she complained. “Before we agreed on a one carat diamond ring. Why is it so small? Is he so careless or he just doesn’t care?”

It's not clear when the incident took place but the photographs have been circulating online in China. Many people on Weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter, said that she didn't deserve the proposal.
