NOTE: Please this is not intended to start a JAVA vs .NET war I have been learning C# for about two years now. Now i am done with School and intent to relocate to Lagos. I called a couple of my programmer friends based in lagos and 5 out of 6 of them told me to ditch .NET and move onto JAVA cos dats what in demand or PHP. The same thing here too in Abuja I am asking nairalanders is this really the situation ? and if yes why do companies prefer JAVA tech to .NET |
I jst installed MVC++ n it in stalled without problem but i cnt find the .exe file of my source code after i build it. When i was using dev cpp i didnt find dis difficult. Pls i need help with this. |

I have been doing C++ for sometime now and I am looking to start developing some GUI driven programs. I found out about some tools like MFC, Qt, GTK. I know there are C++ developers here in nairaland who might have used these tools. I will like to know the pros n cons of each n their prospects in the Nigerian market? |

Hi People, I have been doing C++ for a while now n will like go go into embedded software development. I have read some things about it google though but i have some questions. How well does it sell in the Nigerian market? Is there demand for people with such skills? I need info Guyz |
@ dammy Dats my worry there are little or no demand for C++ developers in the Nigerian market and i dont see this changing in few years time. But i got luv for this language, I am scared of learning another language now added to CPP cos i fear i might start mixing up the syntax, rily dont know for now, kind of confused. |
@ dammy I read the article I am surprised are u sure thats not fake well a langage that will allow both window and web apps in your opinion is ?I hear a lot about PHP, Perl can they really match JAVA? |
Thanks all i think i have made up my mind on which way 2 go, |
@dueal Thanks, i see u are a C++ fan no doubt, I am still putting my best into C++. But developing a GUI for my C++ program scares me takes lots of code to call up a window well no pain no gain so i am steadfast in my study. talking about C# is it compactible with C++ just like C is? |
I am a CSC student in one of our univerisities last semester we were taught C++. I'm kind of getting into it nw but having probs with GUI programming though. But I am hearing C++ does not sell in the market anymore that JAVA rules. pls wat do i do? i dont want to be left behind after my year in school. should i forget C++ and go for JAVA? Plz i want unbiased details on the pros n cons of both languages I have googled but what i get is biased comments, |
