Danchiks:Danchiks, how long did it take from the day WES sent and the day you received? |
solomonwis:Thanks alot Solomonwis. Appreciate your response. As per 3. - I have the funds as an investment in Fixed deposit in the microfinance bank and I have the investment certificate. Will that be enough or do I need additional document? As per 4. - My evaluation has been completed and it was sent as at 15th of october. Though i requested by mail post but I expect to have gotten it by now. It is been 21 days now (15working days). |
Halo guys, I am sure alot of people would be in confused thoughts like I am concerning this Debit card/Credit Card/Demand Draft issue. I used my GTbank debit card to pay for my WES and there was no issue. I guess I can as well use it for CIC. But seeing the cases of people who used debit card and haven't been debited, I think Draft will be the answer. Now we are hearing that GTbank has suspended Draft sales. 1. Is Gtbank the only bank that one can purchase this kind of draft? Cos I spoke to my account officer in UBA and he said no problem raising it from UBA. 2. Form 5669 (Background/Declaration), under personal history requests one to account for personal history. I am a little confused. I have been in my present occupation since 16th Nov 2011. If I am to put the period, do I put 2011-11-16 as starting period and end period as today's date? or should I leave the end period blank? 3. Has anyone used a Microfinance Bank Fixed deposit investment letter for CIC and suceeded? Cos that's where I have my funds. N2.5m 4. Still awaiting my evaluation report from WES. It has been sent since 15th October. I haven't gotten it. Should I be worried? 5. Does anyone have any update on the applications that has been received? The one on the website hasn't been updated since early october. My NOC is 0111. I hope I still make am. |
Fingertips:Listening - 8.0 = 6 points Reading - 7.0 = 6 points Writing - 6.0 = 4 points Speaking - 7.5 = 6 points Total = 22points. Congrats! |

ANBAKO:Thanks ANBAKO for your response. WES evaluation gave me 4 years. Though I didn't assess for my diploma. I think i'll just omit the diploma as you said. With the Bsc, I already have my 67points. |
All in the name of having a perfect processing. I did my diploma and Bsc in the same university. The diploma (satelite campus) had to be done to gain the admission then. Though it was done as a direct entry to the university. I only sent my BSc to WES and it has been evaluated to four years equivalent. Mind you, I started from 200level in the university (3yrs in all). Now, do I include my diploma along with my BSc with ECA in the package? If yes, can I use notification of result? As I don't have a ceritficate OR should I omit the diploma? Thanks |

yomifowe:Yes I mean by mail like NIPOST. Someone here mentioned that his took 15days. That puts mine to around ending of the month. I'll just keep cross checking my forms till them. I should send them, God willing, by 31st Oct. God be my strength. |
Hey! why is the forum quiet these days? Abi everybody don submit ni? Me never submit o. Peeps should update their experiences nah! |
Tekecoms1:What NOC are you looking at? Cos I see alot waiting to be tapped into between now and december. Except you have not started at all. |
damkollins:Thanks man! You are one in a million. I guess I'll just chill and watch. I am putting in for NOC 0111. I know I will make it. |
Morning guys, Congrats to damokollins. Your selfless service has gotten you this far. The good lord has just started with you. Victory upon victory for you. Please, I will like to know the requirement and procedure for police clearance @ Alagbon. And how much it will cost. I am thinking i should do it while waiting for my evaluation from WES to get here. Also, has anyone received WES evaluation by post? How long does it takes to get here? Been almost a week, I haven't seen it. Thanks and cheers |
Hello guys, I am almost there, Thank God! I just got a mail from WES that my assessment has been completed and my report sent by mail. As I didn't request shipping by courier, does anyone know how long it will take for the mail to get to me in Lagos. Thanks |
Highburygonner, WES only verifies the certificate you send to them. Click on your reference number and check your order details to know more about your status. highburygonner: |
princebimby:No need to worry, WES only verifies once. Besides, it is only your certificate that needs verifying since it came from you and not from the source(your institution). So rest assured. Goodluck |
damkollins:Thanks man. I am resting assured now. Anyway, I saw your response to Hollaugo. Personally, I wouldn't want to use my debit card because of the fear of losing the card or network issues when it is to be debited. Besides, I use my card alot for transactions and I might forget that I pledged a certain amount towards the program. Also, because the exchange rate. I think I will raise a draft. It is safer and more assuring. But can i raise the draft from any bank. I intend to use UBA. Thanks and cheers |
scrollmeout:Scrollmeout, thanks for your response. Reason why i intend to contact my institution? You know how our institution are being run, especially non-private universities. You have to be on their neck to be able to get things through, and possible grease a few palms. I had to collect my transcript myself to send it, because I was told it could take weeks or months for the school to send it. So I needed to know if WES has contacted them so I can push and beg them to respond on time. Thanks |
Morning guys, Appreciate all the kind and prompt responses to my questions. When WES got my documents, my status was updated as 'documents received-review in progress'. Thereafter, I got a mail that photocopies of my documents have been sent to my institution for verification, I checked my account and my status showed 'awaiting institution verification' (something like that). After 2 days, I got another mail that my documents have been received and it is being reviewed. On checking my status,'documents received-review in progress'. Now this morning I checked my status and i see 'Evaluation in progress'. Does this mean my institution has responded or Evaluation entails the verification. I need to know this so as to be able to contact my institution. Though November 5 has been set for Nov 5 has been set for completion. Thanks |
Thanks Yomifowe for your response. I am a little confused. How do I attach my ielts results if i don't get it by mail or post? Do I print my result page online? Thanks once again. yomifowe: |
Hello guys, My IELTS results have been out but I am yet to receive the email of the result. Or will I get it by post? So I can print it. Also, I got a mail from WES that photocopies of my certificate have been sent to my institution for confirmation. Was it sent by post or email? So i can inform my contact there what to out for for quick response. Thanks |
Thanks alot Meritl Meritl: They'll update it soon. |
Good day peeps. Can anyone help me with how long it takes WES to update the website on receipt of documents. My certificate was sent by my friend in canada since friday. Also my transcript was sent by dhl and was received and signed by Maple yesterday. On checking their website this morning, my status still shows 'waiting for required documents' Thanks |
Even though my results was sample picked for assessment, I decided to log onto the british ielts website to check my results. Listening 7.5 Writing 6.0 ![]() Reading 9.0 Speaking 7.0 I believe this will give me just the 21 points I needed. Experience of 4 years = 13 points Age 31 years = 12 points Education BSC = 21 points Summation = 67points. Waiting for my assessment from WES, then i can lock in. |
I really appreciate your response damkollins. Really put my mind at rest. Thanks a mil damkollins: I assume you are yet to submit....even if you have submitted,no issues. |

Well, finally after winning the battle of doubts, i have sent my certificate for evaluation. Paid through my gtbank mastercard and immediately i was debited and it reflected on the wes website. I sent my certficate through dhl (N12,800). Hoping to send my package by the end of the month. I am applying under NOC 0111. Still 109 received. I have faith that i will scale through. My HR need an address to send address my letter to. She doesnt want 'to whom it may concern'. Can anyone help with the address to send it to? Thanks all |
Halo guys, great job you are doing keeping people informed and updated. Good job. I work for a microfinance bank as a Finance officer (been working there for over 4yrs). I have a fixed deposit of about N3m with the bank since 2012. The fixed deposit have been rolled over severally. I got my school to give me the enveloped and stamped transcript. I intend to send it myself cos my school could take forever before they post it. I have written my ielts and i am awaiting my scores (though a message was sent to me by British council that my result was sample picked for some assessment. My question: 1. Do I stand a chance? 2. What does the reassessment by British council mean? 3. Can I use my fixed deposit as proof of funds? Thanks for your response. |
