Hmmmm My girlfriend gisted me about this sad event just this morning when i woke up. It happened just beside her in-law's house in Ogudu GRA. Infact she claimed u could still see some on the lady's blood in front of the inlaw's house. According to my gf, the lady and the guy who live in the same compound. She, in the BQ, while the guy in the main house with the landlord who is the guy's uncle. The guy is one unemployed rogue who was brought to Lagos to see what he could make out from his life. Whenever the girl goes out, he breaks her padlock and steal her stuffs. She caught in one day and the uncle, who was the landlord sent him packing. I guess the guy blamed the lady for his misfortune. There was an occasion at the house on saturday where the guy was supposed to attend. Whether he attended or not, she didn't know. But he took advantage of the event to lay ambush for the lady. He attacked her very close to the house and stabbed her severally to the extent that her kidney spilled out. It was the uncle who came out first and saw the incident. He attacked the guy and called for help. When people came out, incredibly the guy pointed to the uncle as the killer. At that time, the police had come. Unknown to the guy, a security guy saw the incident from afar. He initially thought it was a couple arguing. It was the security who revealed that it was the guy that killed her. Guy awaiting sentence. Heard she was the only child of her parents. The story spoiled my day before it began |
verrady:Verrady, can you help with passport issues? A brother has some issues with his passport. His passport was kind of seized by the British embassy but was sent to Nigeria. He was told be the embassy that they have sent the passport to Nigeria, but he has not been able to locate the passport. He has tried several people who only took his money without result. He even tried applying for another one but was told the present one hasn't expired. Any help you can render? |
yokus:Congrats! But you will need to take a chill pill and join the queue. From my observation and calculations, expect MR around May, except AVO increases speed. I am not far from you as I got my PER on Tuesday, 17th Feb |
Happy to announce the receipt of my PER last night. App Received - Nov 21 CC Charged - Jan 26 PER - Feb 17 |
Highlyfavoured3:I think you can go ahead and teminate you investment. But make sure you have a readily available funds to provide whenever you are called on to show pof. Also, you can use a combination of fixed deposit and savings acct as pof, as long as they add up to the required minimum sum. Cheers! |
bissiejoe:Bissiejoe, Although it is advisable for your institution to send your transcript directly to WES, you can send it yourself if you can get it from the institution. Let me explain my case to you. When I was processing my ECAS, I printed the request form online and i took it directly to my institution. Knowing that my institution could delay in sending the transcript, I paid for the necessary things and pleaded with the person in charge to give me the package to be sent so I can send it myself through courier. I had to do this because Firstly, i wasnt expecting my school to send on time and even when they would send, they would use the regular mail which could take a month or more to get to WES. I was working with time. I collected the stamped and sealed envelope from my institution myself and sent it through DHL. I waited a day to send photocopies of my certificate. Both were received and certified good to go. My evaluation didn't take more than 7days. |
okdyn2001:What mode did you use to mail your application? by post mail or courier? |
toksys:Go ahead and use your mastercard. But inform your bank before you do the transaction. Most people here used their mastercard for WES. |
EJINNE:You can send your transcript and ur degree certificate to WES differently by courier, since you are time conscious.. But u must use your school official envelope to send your transcript so that it would look like your school sent it. The envelope much be stamped too. Remember, send them differently. |
Chill bro. Sebi na to charge u? They will charge u. unibadan: |
mcphems123:Con-congratulations! Oya join the queue |
For those of you who would like to know, the naira equivalent charged is N87,644.55. |
Thanks guys, I just received the other alert of the naira equivalent. Benik, Tola and Damkollins, really appreciate your assurance. Now I can relax. damkollins: |
Thanks for your assurance benik: |
I am a bit confused here. I got an alert from gtb on the 21st Jan 2015 that "the naira equivalent of CAD550.00 has been authorized for the transaction done on CITIZENSHIP & IMM FS SYDNEY CA". Usually, I was supposed to receive another alert informing me of the naira equivalent and the balance on my account but it didn't come. I went to check my balance at the ATM. There were 2 different balances; Ledger Balance and Available Balance. A closer look at the balances showed that the available balance is my net balance after deducting what was supposed to be the naira equivalent of CAD 550. I called GTCONNET to find out what was wrong. The officer said the transaction has been authorised but CIC haven't come for settlement. That is why they are holding a lien on my balance. He said they usually allow for 30days, failing which the transaction will be cancelled. He told me to contact CIC to complete the transaction. Today is 26th and I am yet to receive the alert for the conclusion of the transaction. I would like to know if anyone is experiencing this too, and how this affects my application |
solomonwis:Thanks bro! |
Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to inform you that I just got the alert from gtbank on the charge on my account this evening. I represent November 26th (NOC 0111). Awaiting PER. |
shabbey09:Okay. On my knees now praying. Represent Nov 26, NOC 0111 |
Does anyone have an idea of what day is being charged presently. I am a November 26th applicant. NOC 0111. Or has anyone around that day been charged? |
loriaidah:From my calculations and judging from recent updates, I think you should expect to be charged early february and PER before the end of same month. |
Jetspeed:I guess you used DHL. I used DHL too and the name of the receiver was blank. Nothing to worry about. Waiting for the alert! I sent in Nov 24. Hopefully, by end of january or mid february. |
princessayinke:Monday! I don't want to believe that. But in this world, nothing is impossible. |
tola73:Good one. I guess UPS is the better option then. |
tola73:Any reason why you are insisting on UPS? I sent mine through DHL and it got there four days later. And it costed me N12,800. |
princessayinke:Not to worry. Use the other name that appears on all your documents on the forms. On Form IMM0008ENU_2D, under personal details, number 2 precisely, where you are asked if you have ever used any other name, put the name that you don't usually use which appears on your birth certificate. Goodluck |
Fingertips:Same shoes we are in bro. Mine also showed blank. I guess it was delivered. Problem could be DHL's. I am not worried anyway. Sent mine on 25th Nov. |
