Uptil now, most of u don't yet want to admit to the fact that airtel unlimited has been a gimmick and selling strategy to get ppl onboard the airtel network. The problem is never about devices(their devices are actually good) nor network as i here a lot of u like to say, "make sure airtel network is good in ur area', airtel network is actually good in over 70% of locations across this country. The problem is, they have no intention of giving people the unlimited data they advertised, therefore they just throttle down those using the plan at random or collectively, if u doubt me, just purchase any other normal airtel plan on the same sim or device and watch how usable ur data becomes.

This issue is complicated and higher than mine. But you are better because you can use it in the office. My device is only on 3g if you like climb their mast.

The sim is active. It connects to 3g but no speed. 23kb at the max.

Did the issue start after swapping to physical SIM or you swapped because of the issue?

I swapped because of the issue to see if it will work in another router.

It will work if it's active, but NSEstudent has stated above that your sim isn't active. Do try and rectify that first if it's still not working. My humble advise.

My sim is active. It's my ODU that is giving me problems. I have changed the esim to physical SIM. The ODU can't connect to 4g nor the 5GNSA network. It's only connecting the 3g network and it started after 2 weeks of purchase. It didn't connect till the sub expired. The physical SIM is active and can check balance. I have strong Airtel coverage in my area because my phone sim is Airtel and it's working perfectly well.
Just the ODU device.

All Airtel branded "ROUTERS" work without tweaks, the ones not working that requires tweaking are their Mifis.

Note: I've tried the ZTE X25, X25 pro, ZTE T30, the smart android tv box, the Nokia fastmile router and an unlocked Spectranet branded Huawei B310s and they all worked fine with the ODU line.

Presently, my Sim is in the X25pro (unlocked) and it's working perfectly, infact I've had less down time now than when I used the ODU. The carrier aggregation of cell bands on this device is flawless.

Available in their office is the 4g smart box. I hope the sim will work in it.
I think it's the ZLT S25.

No.
They sent mail to their head office but the issue hasn't been resolved. I get notification almost daily with their normal pleading to exercise patience. I don't think I will keep waiting.

Can you explain what you mean by locking and unlocking? Which bands did you mark and unmark? I am talking about the check boxes. Which ones did you uncheck and which ones did you check?

Is there any Airtel device one can use ODU physical SIM on without tweaking. Especially their routers.

mine did something similar and worked only after resetting. I did the reset on the outdoor unit and not the indoor unit

I did a reset now and it is still the same. I am going to their office this morning.

It worked perfectly for about two weeks. Only the 3g is working at 2kb now.

Today is my 8th day without service on my ODU. They keep telling me that they are working very hard to resolve the issue.
I think I have to quit at this point. It wasn't a good experience.
Bought on the 19th of February, started working on the 21st and stopped on the 9th of march.
The worst is that the due date is on 19th of march. Are the expecting a renewal from me or what?

Please am I the only person experiencing network downtime on this ODU device?
Are there solutions to this network problem? It will work well a day and the next two days will be a disaster.

The main purpose is for the speed based unlimited plans. 20 and 50mbps respectively..If you're not interested in this plan or maybe going for something lesser then get a smaller router.

For mobility I will advice you go for the Airtel 5G unlimited router that comes with 30k 20mbps. You can move that to any location without issues and if like you said network is good in your location, then you don't have anything to worry about.

But if you chose the ODU, while it comes at 25k with 50mbps speed which is obviously better, mobility option is not really there, you will have to do the tweaking and getting another router, mind you, the tweaking stuff we don't know how long it will last and if it will be sustainable.

Na the sim card you go dey use. If you dey commot for house, you go carry the sim card put for tweaked mifi or pocket so that when you reach work, you now put am for the router at work place.

As a matter of fact, this is what I do, despite having two ODUs. I just subbed another one today as the other one expired.

In that case can't I use the mifi at work place. I don't want to I stall ODU at my shop because it's not safe. Can we chat?

Go to official Airtel office and request for ODU. You will get one ODU first. I already explained how you can use it on two devices. But if you don't mind subscribing two at the same time, you can buy two now and keep one at home, the other at work place.

My proposal was that you get one now, then a suitable mifi with which you can be using it at work and anywhere else. Then when the first ODU sub expires, you get another one which you can mount at work place.

So I will have one at home and one at my shop. Can one sub work for the two. Don't be offended.

The ODU/IDU pair is designed to be stationary. If you want to use the same sub in different places, then you'd do a few things. One, you should tell them to register the ODU for you with physical Sim. If they refuse as they are wont to do, you take the esim and, when you go home, you find a place to swap it for a physical sim.

Lastly you get a portable router (Mifi) tweaked to work with broadband bundles. Wahab has premium ZLT X30 you can buy and tweak. If you're on budget, I have a pre-owned ZLT M30 already tweaked to work with broadband bundles, for small amount

If you finish the sub, you can get another ODU and station that one at your work place.

If I understood you well. I am getting two ODU? and the ZLT M30? How can one sub work on the two. Please I am in Onitsha and I need someone here that is close to help me.

Please I want to get Airtel unlimited data Router but I need clarification on this.
Is it still working? I would want to be using it both at home and in my shop. I hope it's what I can move from location to location. I have a good Airtel network in both locations.
Kindly advice me. I can pay the 30k monthly subscription.
