But let me ask: if a "New" part that is FAKE costs #5,000 and the same part as Tokunboh that is "original" costs #3,500 and the same "NEW", Genuine & Original part costs #20,000, which one of these three provides the "best" ECONOMIC DECISION to buy, in the long run, say over three years?

You'll probably buy the FAKE one ten times in three years (it falls of like mad!) = 5,000 x 10 =#50,000.

You'll probably buy the "Genuine" Tokunboh like five times (already near its life span) = 3,500 x 5 = #17,500

You'll probably buy the OEM Genuine part[b] once[/b] in three years (replacement cycle mostly) = 20,000 x 1 = #20,000

Thus, buying all these "Fake, New parts" imported by our brothers, is not only a waste of money, think about the risk you're taking, putting the life of you and your family in the "care" of such Fake products?

I think what we have is a "failure of our structures and systems" otherwise, in any sane society, those who "fake items" (be it Drugs, car parts, electrical goods, children toys, e.t.c) are on the same level as MURDERERS!

The effect of their actions goes far beyond the surface (they are killers)and they should be SHOT or given a life sentence...like any other armed criminal

But in Nigeria, anything goes, even Oyinbo people don follow join!


Something should be done, who are those sectors in charge of products controls in Nigeria, those are the people to blame not the parts dealers, they allowed it, don't be surprised if they have being bribed Corrupts nation!
