@samadino the compliments for the biz plan being viewed above should go to kunlef who gave useful tips as to how to paste the link.Let me know which areas you believe can be energized by your input.Am glad u want to give insights. @Kunlef the ideal investors must seek to know the vision and mission of the apparels and footwear proposals n test the R.O.C.E. n N.P.V. analysis to determine viability. We av a good product, the limitation is the capital. Leo Smart is now the leading pen provider in Lagos, bic, eleganza and others are gradually becoming extinct.Good product, coupled with the right adverts and marketing reach took the brand to the top. For example, if i sew 200 white and powder blue shirts, the first target market are the banks whose staffers wear the stuff.Look around you and ask which local designer or tailor is merchandising on a large scale basis.None. The areas i need input are investors and a board of directors which must be drawn from the media, finance industry,I.T.,Marketing, and people with big hearts who can walk on water without fear of drowning.Cos if u fall, u must not only swim to safety but walk again using a nu tactic. Am cork sure that it will work with the right team of witty and pro-active minds.from my experience, the returns on small scale basis is over 200%.The limitating factors why the profit margin is not wide enough are the selling and distribution cost on the sale of a shirt as against using the same amount to sell 10shirts. purchase of fabrics in yards as against in bundle when merchandising.Assuming a yard costs N800, in bundle it will cost below N400.the same thing applies to other consumables like stay, thread, button and wages. Let me know the areas where the proposals are weak so that it can be strenghtened.Lets treat this as our collective dream. open to your criticisms. If shit biz is serious business, ow much more what we adorn our body and feet with. Thanks Brother. |

Virtually all parts of the economy has been jump-started,banking,agric,mortgage,aviation,nollywood,music,I.T.,telecoms,media n many more. I have a strong eye on the clothing and footwear brand where a comatose state is being experienced in Merchandising. Yes we av world class designers but there are not merchandising. Let me have ur e-mail address and forward my business plan to you for your perusal. |
Yes, a monthly meeting on Saturday at an hotel on the mainland or the Island will be a great melting point to crack nuts. We just need to buy drinks, introduce the genuine(as u stated in ur mail to me) investors to the entrpreneurs. What do u av in mind. |
Are u a long term investor or short term.If you're futuristic, hold on to Transcorp shares cos it will explode in max of 5years.The newly constituted board led by Tom Iseghohi will turn the fortunes around Jah willing. The man is a turn around expert. He did it at Pepsi Cola, Ford motors, American Express all in the U.S. He has invited two gurus and they have been seconded to Mtel and the other finance.I just bought more units 3weeks ago and will buy more before X-MAS. My target is 5years when the shares would have appreciated to bout N200 from N4. Be patient. |
Purchasing assorted fabrics in bulk will reduce the cost of production cost of each unit of different apparels and garments. The real dough is in MERCHANDISING the finished products. The like of Marks and Spencer, Burton,George etc buy assorted fabrics in bulk, produce en masse and back it up with adverts and outlets. Obua,I av tried to upload ma products but Nairaland kept on telling me that the shots exceed the required limit. Seun any short cut, to upload the shots. |

The nu speaker should be allowed to function, all the gist about his lack of experience in politics, experience in leadership is all balderdash. As a trained soldier at Sandhurst, U.K., he has been exposed to politiking in various forms.I know what young educated minds have done in different disciplines world over. In Nigeria, from banking, insurance, aviation, upstream and downstream sector etc young minds have transformed management of human and material resources for the better. Listen to his speeches b4 his appointment, he is a pro-active person.I am happy that political t.v. viewing will be more interestn as we have a more articulate mind from my generation as no4. person.Am expecting no miracles, but the right foundation is being dug. Lets support him with ideas, articles n presentations on the way forward for this great nation. Ol boy sit right, stand right, think right.Jah will see you through.Asee. |

Nelson Mandela once stated that, it is easy to be on the opposition and push for change, but, governing the people is no mean task. He has been on both sides as a freedom fighter and a President.Davidylan should learn by now that, critizn from the side lines will not move Nigeria forward. The only way is for our distinguished professionals in all disciplines to come back home after and help build their Nation. Tom Iseghohi is now the GMD of Transcorp. He left the U.S. after making his mark as the first black man to head a fortune 500 company.Fashanu has relocated his family back home.I saw him at PHCN office with some of his neighbours asking the manager the reason why electricity went off.Through their effort, electricity was restored. Ma point is that, these great minds have read and are more exposed to history than you do.They took the bull by the neck and came back home to play their role in making Nigeria great. May be the name Dangote is not synonymous with entreprenueral vibrancy to DavidyLan.U may not know he is worth over 4billion dollars.I am Yoruba and I see him as a Nigerian not a Notherner. His investment in the South West is astounding. Sookie,Londoner,Hipernetix and others in diaspora, keep the fire burning in your hearts. Nigeria will rise again thru our firm resolution.Come back home and lets build Nigeria no matter what happened in 1914. Bob Marley once posed a question in Buffalo Soldiers; If u know ur history, then you will know where u coming from, then u wouldnt stop to ask me:WHO THE HELL DO U THINK I AM. DavidyLan,be proactive by adding value not name calling, or witch hunting the North. Some of our best brains also came from there.U need a list. I love Nigeria, |
DAVIDYLAN, why are u treading the same path of reasoning that leads to d hollow grave.U claim to be raisn valid points yet tribalistic.immature, incitn rage and myopic.Gani Fawehinmi has spoken all u,ve raised and many more yet to accept an appointment he is jittery.Mandela too acknowlegded that it is easier to be on the opposing side fighting for your so-called rights than governing the people.U re bitter with the North because u read some pre and post colonial info n data. A vibrant mind in this generation should not be swayed by the letters from the past but be optimistic and participate in the rejuvenation of Nigeria. Keep on lamenting david boi.Gradually, things will take a great shape and we the optimistic ones will hold our heads high. Dangote's investment in the country in a landmark.Ur reaction i guess wl be: He bribed his way to obtain licence to import sugar, cement etc This man is an achiever and i do not c him as a notherner. he is A Nigerian. Tom Iseghohi left the U.S. to pick up the job at transcorp.Fashanu is back in Nigeria. Stay there n continue blabbing blaming colonial masters, notherners, governments. |
Grew up in Ibadan and i av seen different types of tribal marks n lines. Yes ds lines look horrifying and the attitude of some of its ambassadors are disheartning. But, we have some of them who have being outstanding in their chosen fields. People like Richard Akinjide, who speaks english eloquently as if na im moda tongue.Made his mark in LAW AS A QUEENS COUNSEL, notable politrikcian and father of brilliant sons and daughters who some happen to be Lawyers. Can u deny Arisekola Alao's business acumen in The Toyota runs.Na Owala now.Above all the Alafin of Oyo,Iku Baba yeye.Na royalty respected world over. The list goes on. If i be woman, would i not be foolish to av refused hs hand in marriage becos of facial marks.i beg, understanding, patience, persevererance, and love without boundaries na d key. I no say make you marry owalla wey be like Adedibu o. Dat one na kolomental. |
they are just sewing and i classify them as tailors n not fashion designers.its a great job you are doing.keep it up.Wl check up on you one of ds days.Good luck. |
i disagree with u that u can be a fashion designer in 3mths.to draft or contruct a bodice on free hand requires understanding the anatomy and this cannot be fully understood until a student is exposed to different clients on a regular basis.I agree that u can start sewing what ever in few days as a starter. But professionally, this requires exposure and seasoning. Abeg 3mths too small. |
for basic training in menswear and womenswear na 120,000 as at 2005. I can assure you that u'l make a skirt in 3days. |
