Leyqute: This game is still in Chelsea’s hands. Just one goal from a good counter will break Brighton’s spirits. All Lampard has to do is coordinate his front 3 men. Maybe remove RLC and introduce Abraham or Odoi or something.
But will he do the right thing? Be like Lampard and Ole don dey drink for the same bar. |

This season go long.
Brighton has been the better team so far, and may get a point or all 3 if we continue to play like this. Lampard side has never been one to absorb pressure without breaking. |

Ibime: The young shall grow. I'm currently in hospital. My son climbed dining table this morning and fell on his head. As we picked him him up, expecting his cry, instead he fell silent and went into seizure and stopped breathing like a boxer about to die in the ring. The fear wey catch me. We gave him CPR and called ambulance. Luckily he caught his wind and regained consciousness after 3 or 4 minutes. After 2 or 3 hours in hospital he was back to his normal self and CT scan cleared him of brain bleed. We will be discharged soon. This made me reflect on the innocents whose lives became punchlines here a few days ago. It is completely unacceptable, and also unacceptable to accuse a father of molesting his children. Nothing scares in life more than losing children, and nothing offends a father more than being accused of being improper with his children, or mocking the death of children. Wisdom of Ahithophel! Thank God for your child. |

Leyqute: This is the time you’ll see raumdeuter cowering behind the shadows. Pep Guardiola has spent 4 full seasons in England and has won just 2 trophies.
He didn’t take his team forward in the UCL. He didn’t improve his players He didn’t win anything they’ve not won before
Rather, the team has regressed massively and Sterling, who was a bright prospect before Pep laid his hands on him has become a non-intelligent speed merchant.
Raumdeuter name a bigger Fraud than Guardiola. I’m waiting. Shame wouldn't allow him to run off in his usual MO and he knows their aren't any maga clubs to take on his wages and hand him an empty pre-signed checkbook. |

airmark: We can still get some decent players at reasonable fees, for a quick fix.
Dunk won't be bad from Brighton and his fee won't tear our pocket. That Getafe boy as LB is still ok for me or any of Unlimited's LBs and 30 to 40m will cover that. Some decent keepers will slap their coaches to force a move to Chelsea, once that No. 1 jersey is guaranteed. Another problem is offloading what we currently have. anyways, let's watch what happens with this TW. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by HewlettPackard: 10:49am On Aug 10, 2020 |
Ibime: Does the Goalkeeper losing all confidence whatsoever to come off his line on setpieces have something to do with this? At least 10-15 goals this season could have been prevented by a more aerially dominant goalkeeper. Funny is you subtract 15 from goals conceded this season you get exactly goals conceded for last season. But we had this same Kepa last season, what changed? players development and mentality is also somewhat the responsibility of the manager. |

Few weeks ago someone was making fun of airmark's wife, majority were cheering and clicking their L and S.
Seems it's OK to do it to airmarkk because he has done it to someone in the past and it's more OK to continually condemn airmarkk for his actions and laugh with others who engage in it. |

Sulele04: lol are sheffied united united why do we need to be defensively compact. even mourinho cant setup alonso, rudiger and christensen to be defensively compact. Conte, Sarri had these players but it wasn't this bad. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by HewlettPackard: 4:42pm On Aug 09, 2020 |
airmark: You are right and i pray he is not another Fraudiola defensively. We will see what he does, when he has a quality CB to lead from the back. Teams know we are desperate for buys and would try to cash out on us, and if the board ain't ready to cough out such sums we may be stuck with the Chris, Rudi and the Alonso's of this world. Much worse, go get someone of lesser or even quality with what we currently have. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by HewlettPackard: 4:37pm On Aug 09, 2020 |
raumdeuter: The same set of defenders and keeper last year conceded less goals Actually we lost our two top CBs, but that isn't an excuse. Lampard system is worrisome, corner kicks , fks, any attack on the box is a scare. This transcends players abilities and inabilities. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by HewlettPackard: 4:12pm On Aug 09, 2020 |
As much as a large number of us would blame our defense for our woos this season, I maintain my stand at the beginning of the season that Lampard doesn't know how to set up a team to be defensively compact. |
