Honestly, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around Java (I'm going the self-taught route). It's been almost a month now since I started learning, and so far, I've come to understand the logic behind frameworks and packages. I've also come to understand classes and inheritance in Java, but it's taking me longer than I imagined it would to really get a handle on the language. So far, the best I've done, in my self-taught journey is to build a simple package to test out/learn some OOP principles.

I would like to get better with Java though. Overall, I'd say I've made some decent progress in the span of a few weeks of actual learning. Java has a ridiculously steep learning curve. C is so easy compared to this. Anyway, I imagine it would take me more time to become a strong Java programmer, but I believe I can at least get past the learning curve within the next coming months and probably get a good foundation in 3 - 6 months, maybe sooner if I prioritize. I project that I would be strong by the end of the year. It's not to say that I will claim to know the language inside-out, but I will at least be strong enough to know how to use Java to get things done.

and because of the stupid framework he used people have been messing around cloning nairaland *smh* rubbish.

and i can bet seun ddnt build this with his brain cos he used a framework, so that's y the site can never be extendable cos if he tries to fit in the new version of the framework he used it will kill, destroy and take nairaland to the grave, trust me. web developers pls I urge you to use less frameworks for your works, though they make your work faster but they kill it underneath(it can be used if the site won't be evolving i.e. stagnant). they dont give you creativity up in your little room(brain) cos most of the paradigm has been chosen for you but not by yourself. I dislike them laravel, codeigniter and others cos they want to force me to learn them which doesn't freak me. cos I blive I can build mine instead of going to a conference and not able to make contributions about a language I learnt.

I also used Google analytics to monitor the browsers my users used most and try to adapt the site further. As technology evolve, one should continue to upgrade and update one's site to keep pace with modern practices. Whatever way you look at it, responsive web design is the way to go.

I am sorry how you feel. But the last time I check I tested the site on top 8 leading browsers. Also the site works Fine across various devices. Between you only rant without saying which Browser you are using. I guess you know that there is different between browsers compatibility and responsive design.

Why not be specific rather than make general misleading comment

I will advice to study yourself to going to a crazy institute to learn it.
the top computer geeks were not taught programming at college they loved it and worked towards it, just like I'm doing

Responsiveness is not about screen sizes only, it deals with the browsers too. This sucks bro. Go Behind up your design aspect

it sucks kinda. the ui is kinda of poor, not attractive

and there are bugs in the site. imagine posts of day b4 yesterday is still consider as new posts

I love c++ the most including php, dislike python and java
