A Nigerian bride has captured attention after boldly rejecting smaller naira notes from her groom during their traditional wedding ceremony, insisting instead on receiving a full bale of ₦100,000.

In the trending video, the bride could be seen standing her ground as the groom attempted to offer her a modest bundle of ₦10,000. However, the bride refused, making it clear she had earlier requested a bale of ₦100,000.

“Ask and it shall be given unto thee… Tag your friend that is capable of doing this. This is when the bride knows her husband is capable but P.A wan help oga keep money. She said she doesn’t want to ask him for something much, so ₦100K it is,” a wedding intermediary wrote in a now-viral caption accompanying the clip.

The moment, though playful and lighthearted, has stirred mixed reactions online, with many questioning the bride’s expectations and timing.

A social media user, @Tommy_Pee_ wrote: “E go hard for this kind wife to endure during broke time, may God sustain your marriage.”

Another user @🫧♉️ commented: “E good as e marry her, who e won leave her for 💀😒.”

@promise_okechukwu joked: “The husband dey smile cos his wife knows his capable 😂😂 poor man dey cry for comment session 😂🤣.”
