A suspected serial killer has been arrested by the Ogun State police command in connection with two murder cases.
The suspect identified as Ibiyemi Wasiri was arrested on on December 6, at igboro area of Ilaro following an information received at Ilaro divisional headquarters that the suspect was sighted in one criminal hideout
Men of the division headquarters mobilized by their DPO CSP Olayemi Jacob moved to the scene where the suspect who was in the midst of some hoodlums was arrested, while others escaped.
The suspect who is a member of a dreaded cult group is said to have been on the wanted list of the command in connection of the murder of Michael Abiodun a.k.a S1 on the 22nd of July 2021 and one Kola Fagbemi on the 24th of July 2021.
A cut to size locally made pistol and seven live cartridges were recovered from the suspect which he claimed to have bought from Benin Republic.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the state commissioner of police CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
One Sunday James has been arrested by officials of the Edo State Public Works Volunteers, (PUWOV) for disguising himself as a military officer to intimidate and oppress residents and traders.
The suspect was arrested on Wednesday, December 7 at Oba Ovonramwen Square in Benin, following complaints from residents and traders in the area.
A fake military identification card from the Civil Intelligence Agency, (CIA) was recovered from the suspect.
The state commander of PUWOV, Mukhtar Yusuf-Osagie said the suspect has been handed over to the Oba Market Police Division for further investigation and prosecution,
"Officials of PUWOV have apprehended one Sunday James for impersonating and parading as an officer of the Nigerian Army at the Oba Ovonranmen Square in Benin City. The suspect was arrested wearing military uniforms, with a fake identity card."
“His arrest followed a tip-off that the suspect has been presenting himself as a serving soldier in the area for a while, and has been intimidating and harassing residents, traders and others in the Oba Ovonranmen Square and environs."
“The suspect ran out of luck on December 7, 2021, when he went on with his normal business of harassing and intimidating residents on Camouflage T-shirt, when he was apprehended by PUWOV officials.”
A family of four, a man, his wife and two children has died in a car crash at the University of Ilorin, UNILORIN dam.
The incident which also claimed the live of a student happened around 9 pm on Monday, December 6 when a car occupied with a man and his family crashed at the UNILORIN dam.

Former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu has denied report that he told the Department of State Services (DSS) operatives not to feed Nnamdi Kanu.
This is coming after Prince Kanu Meme, brother of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu on Monday, November 6, claimed that he has been denied food by the DSS and not allowed him to see his test results.

A 21-year-old pickpocket identified as Power ThankGod from Ahoada West LGA in Rivers State has been arrested by the Bayelsa State Vigilante Service for stealing the sum of N3,000 Naira from the pocket of a keke driver.
The suspect who specializes in snatching phones, money and valuables from passengers was arrested on Saturday, December 4, along the popular Tombia-Etegwe Roundabout in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.

Three members of an outlawed group "Yansakai" has been arrested by the Zamfara State Police Command for the murder of three Fulanis at Bargala village in Gusau Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects identified as Zubairu Musa, Abdullahi Rabiu and Buhari Muazu were arrested following a distress call that large number of the suspects carrying dangerous weapon had invaded Bargaja, a settlement for Fulanis.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Ayuba Elkanah, In a statement on Tuesday, November 30 stated that "On 29th November, 2021 the Command received a distress call that, large number of outlawed group known as ‘Yansakai’ carrying dangerous weapons invaded a Fulani Settlement called Bargaja in Gusau LGA with intent to attack and kill the inhabitants of the village,"
"Police Tactical teams were proactively deployed to the village to repel the hoodlums from carrying out their nefarious activities against the community. The operatives have succeeded in containing the situation as well as arresting the above named suspects for gruesomely killing three (3) people in the village using cutlass and knives.

At least fiftenn persons has reportedly been burnt to death in a fatal motor accident that happened on Sunday evening, November 28 along Achilafiya to Karkarna road in Yankwashi local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The accident which involved a Golf car with registration number. XA 361 BCH and Golf Wagon with registration number. FST 276 CX caught fire which led to the death of one Bashir Ahmed and other passengers who were burnt on the spot beyond recognition. HGS Media Plus gathered.
It was said that the driver of one of the vehicles was trying to dodge a pothole along the road when he lost control.
One of the drivers, Ashiru Sani and 12 passengers were said to have sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Primary Health Care (PHC) Hospital Karkarna for treatment. Consequently, all the victims died on admission.

A lady has been caught while attempting to steal fabric from a store in Lagos Island.
According to the video shared online, the lady is seen begging for mercy and appealing to the shop attendant not to disgrace her.
Apparently, she came into the shop pretending to be a customer. However, the vigilant shop attendant was monitoring her until she allegedly caught her putting one of the fabrics in her bag.
When interrogated, she confessed to stealing the fabric. She appealed to the shop attendant not to disgrace her.
A newborn baby has been found on the altar of one Holy Fountain Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Oda Road, Akure, Ondo State.
The baby was found in the early hours of Wednesday, November 24 when members of the church heard the cry of a baby coming from the church's altar.
The baby was said to be wrapped in a green clothes and dumped on the altar by an unknown person.
Confirming the incident, spokesperson of the State Police Command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, said the baby has been handed over to the state Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
Students Breaks Head Of DPO During Clash Of Two Secondary Schools In Ogun
One Alimeke Ignatius, a divisional police officer attached to Obantoko Division has been left with a broken head during a clash between two secondary school in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The students were said to thrown stones at themselves, blocked the main road, causing traffic and tension among the residents of the area.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, said the students engaged in a fight and the police from the Obantoko station were called to take charge of the situation.
President Muhammadu Buhari has been told by the Coalition Northern Groups (CNG) in a press conference on Monday, November 22 not to release the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, the spokesman to CNG said that Buhari will be held responsible for any unlawful activities of Kanu that may lead to blood shedding of northerners.
The statement reads, "Any attempt by the President to accede to the demands to release, without prosecuting and punishing Kanu, will inadvertently reduce Nigeria to a completely lawless state where criminals of all shades will commit crimes against the country, and then ask their traditional rulers and other regional or tribal leaders to press for their release."
Suleiman alleged that Kanu had ordered the killing of about 1,230 northerners in the country, including properties worth million of dollars belonging to northerners.
According to Suleiman, "Several millions worth of business, properties and valuable assets belonging to northerners and citizens of other regions were destroyed across the south-eastern cities on the instructions of Nnamdi Kanu within the same period."
Suleiman also alleged that Kanu and his group had killed over 400 security personnel.
Two suspects, Owoseni Gbemisola and Ogunsola Ayo, members of Eiye cult group have been arrested by the Ogun State police command for forcefully initiating a student into their cult group.
The suspects were arrested on Friday, November 19 by policemen attached to Ago iwoye divisional headquarters following a report from a 21-year-old student of Olabisi onabanjo university.
The victim was said to have been lured to Ijebu Igbo by one Yemi Justice aka JP under the pretense of going for a job.
On getting to ijebu igbo, Yemi alongside Owoseni Gbemisola and Ogunsola Ayo blindfolded the victim, beat him and forced him to be initiated into Eiye confraternity.

The suspect identified as Oluchi Chinedu Nkemjika was arrested at Paradise Avenue, off St. Michael Street, Iwofe in Port Harcourt.

Three persons has reportedly been killed in Akure, the Ondo State capital after a bus driven by a woman knocked down a commercial motorcycle rider, HGS Media Plus gathered.
The incident which happened on Wednesday, November 17 raised tension as fellow commercial motorcycle riders mount roadblocks and protest over the death of their colleague.

One Emmanuel Dominic, age 24 pretending to be a soldier has been arrested by Operatives of the Niger State Police Command while trying to set his friend free from police custody, HGS Media Plus reports.
The suspects from Tungan area of Minna was arrested on Wednesday, October 27 by Operatives attached to Maitumbi Division.
The suspect was said to have dressed in a Camouflage uniform and went to the Police Division station, parading himself as a soldier of the Nigerian Army with service no. 05313 attached to TRADOC, Minna with the intention of securing the release of his friend in police custody.

Suspected Ritual Killers Allegedly Behead 10-Year-Old Boy, Remove His Intestine In Rivers
Two suspected ritual killers has been arrested by the Rivers State police for allegedly beheading a 10-year-old boy in Azumini community, Isiokpo, in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of the State. HGS Media Plus gathered.
The headless body of the deceased identified as Destiny Peter was said to have been found on Friday, November 12 in a bush in the community.
The deceased who lived with his aunt, one Victory Johnson was said to have been found in the company of an unidentified man moving into a bush before the unfortunate demise.
The aunt was said to have last saw him on Thursday, November 11 around 4.30pm after a neighbor invited him to his house.
Subsequently, the body of the deceased was found following the intervention of some youths.
The intestine of the deceased had also been removed by the suspected ritualist.
Confirming the incident, Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni said "Yes, I can confirm it. The matter, for now, has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department and justice will be served,”
Twenty-six Nigerians have reportedly been arrested by the Ghana Police in Kasoa for allegedly engaging in online fraud.
According to report, the suspects including two females were arrested following an intelligence the Ghana police received.
Three houses were reportedly raided and the suspects who happens to be Nigerians, numbering 26 were arrested.

Five suspects were paraded on Wednesday, November 10 after been arrested over alleged theft and destruction of properties of the Eastern port in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital. HGS Media Plus gathered.

Three persons have be abducted by gunmen said to be Herdsmen and have demanded for the sum of N10 million, codeine, marijuana, water, and food items. HGS Media Plus gathered.
The incident happened on Saturday, November 6 in Obada-Oko area of Abeokuta were the suspects was said to have hidden in a nearby bush to commit their grievous crime.
A victim identified as Razaq Lasisi, a former secondary school principal who escaped being abducted after he was shot twice by the gunmen narrated his ordeal to Splash Fm.
According to him, he was on his way home from work at around 9pm when the gunmen attempted to abduct him, but managed to escape.
Three persons were said to have been kidnapped by the gunmen after Police from the Obada-Oko division engaged the suspects in a gun duel.
He said that he was shot twice and was held by one of the gunmen, but he managed to break free after giving him a blow to the face.

The suspects identified as Efosa Osawaru and David Ayobami, were caught and beaten to stupor by angry mob in what appears to be kidnapping gone wrong.
The incident was said to have happened on Saturday, November 6 at Ugbowo area of Benin City, Edo State.
It was said that the suspects stormed a house at Ugbowo were the victim lives and intercepted him while driving out of his compound.
The suspects then forced the victim into the booth of his car (Toyota Corolla), shooting sporadically before driving off with the victim.

One Monday Olomu, age 53 has been arrested by the Edo State Police Command for allegedly killing his wife over the sum of N80,000 in Benin City, the State's Capital.
The incident was said to have happened around Airport road on Friday, October 22 when the suspect pushed his wife, one Mrs. Odion Osarogue Olumu over money argument, and as a result hit her head on a concrete floor.
It was gathered that the couple has been married for over 26 years before the unfortunate incident.
According to report, the suspect refused to account for the sum of N80,000 out of the N155,000 his wife had given him for domestic needs. The suspect had spent N75,000 out of the N80,000 he refused to account for which then resulted into an argument after he failed to account for the balance.
The argument was said to have degenerated into a serious fight and consequently the suspect pushed his wife who fell and hit her head on a concrete floor.
The suspects was however arrested on Thursday, September 4, by policemen from the Evbuotubu Police Division and was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.

Seven Killed, Others Injured As Suspected Herdsmen Attack Adamawa Community (Graphic Photos)
The police command in Adamawa has confirmed that suspected herdsmen killed seven villagers while sleeping in a midnight attack on Negga village in the Numan local government area.
DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, police spokesman in Adamawa confirmed the killing.
Nguroje said seven other victims sustained injuries in the attack.
The police spokesman added that the assailants launched the attack on the community at about 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
“Police received signal at about 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, that there was an attack on Negga community in Numan Local Government Area, a village on the Adamawa-Taraba border. According to the First Information Report, the suspected criminals attacked the village while the farming community was asleep,” explained the police officer.
“During the attack believed to be carried out by suspected herdsmen, seven persons were killed, while another seven injured.”
He said police had deployed a special squad to the area while those injured were taken to Numan General Hospital.
Nguroje warned that the police had zero tolerance for criminal groups threatening the peace and lives of innocent people of the state.
According to him, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has swung into action to fish out the assailants.
“The police are appealing to the good and peace-loving people of Adamawa to always assist with useful information to fish out bad eggs in the society,’’ he said.
