Romance › Interested In Recording This Song By A Nairalander, Today Not Tomorrow? by Highcuerayte(op): 7:29am On Jan 05, 2016 |
Hi, I am Olusanya Olaleye: a proficient song writer and a pandit; specialization, Christain music (western style).
Yersterday morning when getting ready for the day I reasoned, in a flash, about the cline of paliative speeches delivered every Youth day as precedents demand by our exploiters; people who tagged themselves Leaders of today and us, leaders of tommorrow; a tomorrow than exist in figments of imagination (It never comes)
Of course, as a song writer I have something to say about the injustice and seeming caring act which is nothing but a paliative panacea opening continuum of pandoria boxes, reflective effects lasting, and destructive in nature. But all i can say can be said in song and in that form can travel fast to youths around the globe; people who like we, have been victims of unfavourable circumstance; figurative merchandise exploitation. So i wrote a song in a clear message demanding a reverse in role and status. The lyrics of which partly, is writen below.
Title: Morrow Not Tomorrow Genre: Pop
To Freedom Of Youths.
They Say We Are The Leaders Of Tomorrow They Say We Are The Future They Say We Wait For Tomorrow When Tomorrow Will Never Come
But I Say,
Why Not The Leaders Of Today Why The Leaders Of Tomorrow Why Wait For The Future When The Future Will Never Come
So I Sing,
Today Not Tomorrow Today Not Tomorrow Today Not Tomorrow We Are The Leaders Of Today
Like I said, I write in western style and specialize in Christain songs. And this, glaring, is out of my line. So I don't know if there is any recording artiste on nairaland whom presently is working on an Album and will like to record this. Trust me when I say it will be a hit. Should there be any, kindly show your interest here or mail me starlingslimnets@gmail.com while I

Business › Productive Business He Can Start With 30K As A Student by Highcuerayte(op): 9:34am On Dec 30, 2015 |
Weeks ago I applied for the tenth edition of Ladipo Adamolekun Award Of Excellence, a unique academic motivator aimed at encouraging students in my localty. The cash price of which, is thirty thousand naira each for beneficiaries; of which i happened to be one.
Now, before the panel, my submission when asked what i will use the money for should i win was, it will be used to obtain a laptop having offered admission to study Biochemistry in OAU. Having one i reasoned will not only be of great value to my education; in times of research but as well aid writing since i am, presently, working on a book.
Obtaining a new Laptop with this amount i understand is a mirage but a business done with it can make it a possibility since the certainty of resuming as speculated before by the school management for now remains an hypothesis of no substantial proof due to their so called "MSB."
So nairalanders, with mini importation business struck out by the new CBN policy, is there any productive business that within a time space of five months( since we won't be resuming any earlier than May) yield a minimum of 30% increase?
Suggestions will be appreciated.

Kei144: Accepting Jesus into your life is not really salvation. Modern day churches preach that salvation is an instantaneous thing, but it is not.
Mt. 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Mt. 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Mt. 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in [Or into] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Mt. 28:20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Ph. 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed — not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence — continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, Ph. 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
Baptism into Jesus Christ, which is accepting Jesus into your life, is just the gate, the beginning. After you enter the gate, you then travel on the narrow road that leads to eternal life.
Lk. 13:22 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. Lk. 13:23 Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” He said to them, Lk. 13:24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Lk. 13:25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, `Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, `I don’t know you or where you come from.’ That is why i said Nigerians understanding of the world salvation is wrong. Salvation simply put is getting you recreated to do more good than wrong. As you walk with Christ in Faith you begin to see the possibility of doing good always. Salvation is all about moral perfection. |

Kei144: The issue is not about thinking about how to avoid sins. Spending your life thinking means that one is depending on human power. The real issue is the nature within. You either have a sinful nature (inherited from Adam) or the divine (holy) nature that the Spirit gives. The solution to sin is to receive the divine nature. How does a person receive the divine nature? That is the question that the churches are supposed to be occupied with. Once you receive the divine nature, it becomes impossible for you to commit sin. Instead of the false statement that you commonly hear, that it is impossible for a human being not to sin, the converse is the case for a person that inherits the divine nature; it is impossible for such a person to commit sin. You see, i wish we live in the same place so we can always have this type of discussion and share knowledge of the truth. I am of the faith a Christain based on the faithful words of Christ can live a sinless life just as Christ do. But tell me, who can i teach such truth as these in Nigeria? I tell you, you are the first person i have seen who believes you can live a sinless life. And that is why i said teachers of the Bibles are needed. |

Kei144:
You obviously are not a great teacher of the Bible. Even the OP is not a great teacher. He posted some points that look very much like the new gospels being preached in numerous churches today. It was only when seriously challenged that he began to clarify his stance.
By the way, it is one thing to say that it takes the Holy Spirit to be holy, which is being said by everyone any way, and another thing to go into the practicalities. So many people in this country talk about giving their lives to Christ and about the Holy Spirit, yet you cannot rely on many of them over simple matters. Apparently, i made no claim to be a "great" teacher of the Bible. Greatness is only ascribed to God. That being said, like i said, many things are wrong with Nigerians Faith of which is the issue of Gospel. Nigerians have the wrong gospel preached and being preached to them which called for your last statement. The true gospel of Christ as opposed to that which is being preached was,is and will be "Jesus is the Christ" instead of "Give your life to Jesus." The Holy spirit bears witness, no place has the Apostles ever preached "Give your life to Jesus" but it has always been "Jesus is the Christ" When this true gospel is being preached, the question of who the Christ is will arose. Many will be answered, fulfilment will be attained. Only in the understanding of the name "Christ" will every soul have answers to all questions. Wrong gospel preached is why we have characters claiming to know Christ worse than that of pagans. |

Kei144: . Only those who are filled with all the fullness of God at the time of the rapture will follow in the rapture. Being filled with the fullness of the Spirit is a progressive thing. One cannot make much spiritual progress if s/he is not free from sin.[/size] For clarity purpose, all "Christains"(by christains i mean followers of Christ and not follower of Christainity) are freed from sin at salvation. For sins will no longer have dominion over you. I don't know about you, but i know of every Christains, they live above sin. May i say you shed light on this statement " Only those who are filled with all the fullness of God at the time of the rapture will follow in the rapture." |

Kei144: He. 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, He. 10:27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
Now that I have come to know very clearly the secret of holiness, sinning again in the future means that I have deliberately chosen Satan over God. I will never choose Satan over God. Lol..... Bro you are both saying the same thing. I don't see why you have difficulty seeing the agreement between both. Do you know God standard for you is to be unconscious of sin as a son? Spend your life not thinking of how to avoid sin? This can only be done by listening to the direct voice of God that guides you everyday and not the listless list of "thou shall not" |

No Spiritual person will have difficulty understanding any word there since they are inspired by the Holy Spirit. I admonish you to shed your religious skin |

Toks2008: Infact before i wrote this..the Holy spirit asked me that "Do i know that no one who ever received Jesus as lord and Saviour has any business with HELL"?
I answered "HOW"?
And this write up came pouring into my spirit and GOD made me understand that many believers in christ leave out the Holy spirit and that by their own power they can never live a righteous life but if they can only allow the holy spirit to take over, ther is no sin that will be too powerful to keep them in bondage.
If you see any believer committing any form of sin with impunity then that believer does not have the holy spirit working in him.Sins wil be repulsive to you if the holy spirit takes over..
Infact do you know that i force myself to sin? funny but true because the holy spirit has taken over me completely that even when i want to do some certain things that are sinful,i practically fight to yield rather than fighting not to.
The death of christ is too powerful, too precious and too awesome to just allow a believer end up in hell...every believer who ends up in hell brought that upon him or herself.
I repeat,if you are a believer reading this and you have wondered away..it is time to come back to Jesus oh My Jesus will nevr ever forsake you and if you have any sinful act you are struggling with please stop struggling, cal on the holy spirit and he will blot out that sinful act that you will not believe how repulsive it will be to you...PLEASE TRY THE HOLY SPIRIT AND SEE HOW POWERFUL HE IS. The problem i see is, Nigerians have plethora of Pastors but Teachers of the bible are few. What beats me my brother is their hardness of heart. Christainity without Christ. Religion without the Holy Spirit. I see them attack you from different angles with scriptures their understanding of is epileptic. The precedents of which they have been brought up in: bible instead of Spirit. Only if God will multiplies teachers of the Bible like us who can teach these people to be Spiritual persons instead of Religious persons. So many things are wrong in Nigerians understanding of Faith, Salvation and Grace |

Isaacmacdon: Straightforward question. Seriously i feel elated seeing a believer who z indeed enlightened by d power f d holy spirit.. Most christians nd believers neglect hz power.. He's d greatest comforter nd teacher.. His teaching r al genuine nd pure cos he's not a human but d holy ghost! If there is someone missing in 99% of the churches, most importantly Nigerians churches, it is the Holy Spirit. Erroneous and erractic teachings of men limited in knowlegde of Truth has led most if not all of them into Fables instead of Truth. Their readiness to believe everything said in the name of God has completely gave them away |

Toks2008: Bravo and i agre with this 500% so can i ask just this one question pastor?
Since you gave your life to Christ(Assumption) Have you never ever committed just one act of sin? Brother, it amaze me you have time to reply these blind guides. Anyone born of the Spirit understand all you have put up there. You can't do anything to help their understanding, they have received already another gospel, faith and Christ. For Truly, truly, said Christ, of all the Father give to me I shall lose none of them. Christ assured heaven to all that believes in him. None shall be condemned. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Celebrating Christmas Wrong ? by Highcuerayte: 10:58am On Dec 25, 2015 |
malvisguy212: Thank you for your wonderful contribution. Yes, God hate lies, but the bible did not mention the day Jesus was born, chosen December 25 to celebrate Jesus does not mean "its a lie" it is just choice.
Christians Lerders who first celebrate Christmas never compromise it with paganism, They may simply have wanted to celebrate the birth of Jesus. However, modern scholars generally agree that the date they chose for Christmas was influenced by a pagan celebration on or about that same date honoring the “Invincible Sun.”
How much freedom do Christians have in the new covenant, either individually or as a church, to express their faith, worship and thanks toward Christ in forms not found in the Bible? May church leaders establish special days to celebrate the great acts of salvation? “Once pagan, always pagan” is the way some people reason.
Malachi 4:2 2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolics like well-fed calves.
Christians who keep Christmas are not pagans. They do not worship nor regard pagan gods. They honor Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is true that certain customs attached to December 25 are practiced in a pagan spirit by many people. But a truly Christian observance of Christmas does not include drunkenness, fornication, carousing or any other conduct unworthy of saints. After all the entrance of Jesus into the world cause a GREAT JOY OF CELEBRATION IN HEAVEN in Luke 1:46–2:38. Don't deceive yourself. Historical record tells when Jesus was born. If Jesus was born in December then he is not the Christ. The scripture made it clear that the Christ Birth, Life, Death and Resurrection must be according to the Law. Any believer who observe Christmas honours demons and not Christ. You don't do what you feel is right you do what God ask you to do. Moses did otherwise and paid for it. |
