i asked about Suzy being the biggest star in JYP cos it was mentioned in the drama,i was like- how can she be bigger than all the popular idol groups in JYP,i looked it up on internet and discovered that 2pm(taecyeon's band) are the biggest group in JYP,maybe suzy is the biggest solo artist. i was suprised to discover that the real JYP CEO made a comeo in producers and he was the one they asked about suzy.

I never knew that Kim soo hyun is left-handed in real life,.i was suprised to see him using left hand in the drama,even eating with left hand,lol

It's amazing that in a country as conservative as South Korea where people are so judgemental, their kids keep behaving that way; sleeping around. I thought suzy and Lee min ho said they were just getting to know each other and have only dated for a month. Does it include sharing a bed? These folks. That's their biz anyway.

As for IU, I get your point. Till I can watch her dramas then. But it's beyond the scandal, I honestly don't think that lady can act. I'm very critical and look out for 'acting' and not 'show'. Her 'producer' performance is dismal.

yeah,she is not the best actress but at least she is watchable. i finished pretty man drama and she was the female lead there,she is better than some idol-actresses.

Do you like IU? I stopped when she had that scandal with Eunhyuk. She seemed to be an attention seeker and user- playing with another's reputation just so she could promote herself/change her image from the 'nation's little sister' to 'sexy'.

I read about that scandal last year. i try to seperate personal lives of celebrities from the characters they play,i dont think an actor/actress's scandal will prevent me from watching their drama if its interesting.

Afterall,no one knows who these celebrities are like in real life,even the ones we call good maybe worse in real life. i think IU was just unlucky becos of that scandal,there are other actresses worse than her
Even the so-called korea little sister Suzy was rumoured to have stayed in the same hotel room with lee min ho for 3 days and netizens dismissed it freely but keep dragging IU's scandal everytime her name is mentioned.i know suzy and lee min ho were dating at that time but IU and eunhyuk might also be dating when they took that photo and she mistakenly uploaded on her sns.

hello,we dont really know what these people are like offscreen .kim hyun joong,IU,park shi hoo etc are just the unlucky ones,others are worse.

i wanted to wait for producers to finish airing before i watch but couldnt resist. i watched episodes 3&4 yesterday. its getting interesting,i am on IU and KSH ship,they have better chemistry.

i am adding this guy to my favorite k actors,dont know why i never noticed him before,his acting in me too flower is so good and he is handsome to boot.

@atk01 and ellab,i think the producers drama potrays exactly what happens in entertainment industry.

i think k celebrities read what fans post about them online cos i remember one of shinee members saying Choi min ho has the habit of reading comments about him online and gets really pissed about the hateful ones.
Same with park min young,she was forced to close her twitter account cos of the hateful comments from lee min ho's fans when they were dating which means she read those comments.
I think Jang geun suk went to hiatus cos of the negative comments from knetz,i dont really know why they hate that guy,they say he calls himself asian prince and labelled him as arrogant.

@Atk01,i think the drama you are referring to is high society,Sung joon and Uee will act as the leads.

i always wonder why poor female leads in kdramas use big phones like samsung galaxy.
in heirs,eun sang was as poor as a church mouse but used the same brand of phone as kim tan,lol.

she stood like a statue while lee min ho was doing all the kissing.
from my observation, PSH doesnt like passionate kisses in dramas. lee min ho tried to break through her barrier during that kiss in heirs(if you look at that kiss closely,you will discover that they were struggling during that kiss,before psh relaxed and he started kissing her again) but it didn't work out,instead it came off as awkward.

I have been wondering the kind of charm lee jong suk used on her during that kiss in pinnochio cos her face was so relaxed and her mouth moved a little. lee jong suk deserves an award,lol.
i heard he asked park shin hye to act as the female lead in doctor stranger but she declined cos she was shooting a movie then, the female lead role was later offered to Jin se yeon.it seems they knew each other before pinnochio.

That kiss was hot,except for park shin hye's facial expression,he was asked about that kiss in sbs awards ceremony and he was giggling.

He tried during those english scenes in heirs,my best engrish phrase from him in heirs is that "ITS OKAY BABY",he said to park shin hye character.

As for Kim Woo Bin..... It was about time people recognized that guy's acting prowess. If acting alongside Lee Min Ho was the way to get people to see him, then so be it. He has nothing to thank Min Ho for. Lee min ho did not choose him. He was chosen and cast by the writers and directors. Honestly, if the two are cast again in same drama, I wouldn't be surprised if Kim Woo Bin steals best actor award(only if they aren't going to be impartial and dash it to Min ho like they always do.) I discovered Kim woo bin through heirs,and if not for that drama,i wouldnt have known him. The guy is a good actor and he will go too far with his career.

How exactly did kim woo bin outshine him?Their characters in heirs are different,and people compare their different characters in heirs with their acting skills,lee min ho acted as kim tan and kim woo bin acted as choi young do,so the both of them tried in their roles.

overrated or not overrated,who cares, as far we enjoy his dramas. there is no need comparing him to1000 actors, they may be better in acting, but they lack something that lee min ho has.
Heirs was boring as hell but many of us finished the drama, lets ask ourselves why. Can you watch a super boring drama for your bias? many people claimed they watched it for kim woo bin,SMH, but i am pretty sure that if lee min ho was not present in heirs, no one would have watched that drama, his presence alone made people interested in the drama. i am sorry to say this but kim woo bin should be thankful to lee min ho, cos if not lee min ho's presence in heirs, no one would have recognized him, lee min ho made him a star. Lee min ho is the only actor that makes people watch him in anything- boring or not boring.

he gave an outstanding performance in all his dramas, not every actor can do the stunt he did in city hunter and faith, i heard he did all the stunts himself(i watched some bts of city hunter and i pitied him there) and got into an accident while shooting city hunter. lets not try too hard to pull him down just because we want to elevate our bias, its not his fault that too many people love him.
i know we are still waiting for his next drama, even though we call him the worst actor in south korea and compare him to a million actors. lets chill. END OF STORY.

I think sometimes koreans overhype certain actors for various reasons.

I don't do sentiments when I'm rating acting prowess.

Being a 'flower boy' is different from an actor who can actually act to save his life.

As far as I'm concerned, Lee Min Ho is overhyped, because I've seen same age, younger actors than him who act so much better than he does.

For instance, Ji Chang Wook, Kim Woo Bin, Lee Jong Suk, Lee Jun Ki, Yoo Seung Ho, and some others are better actors than Lee Min Ho. City Hunter Remains his best drama till today. Overhyping makes Organisers give this guy undeserved awards just because they want to draw crowd. He did not act better than Kim Woo Bin in 'The Heirs'. Kim Woo Bin was and still is a scene stealer.
This is my unbiased opinion.

A great actor is known when even his slight body movement speaks. Not every acting is verbal- facial expression, body language, even the eyes alone speak.

If I were a Director, Lee Min Ho would have to up his ante to make my cut.

It's a good thing Park Shin Hye seems to have improved very much in her acting(cos she was seriously overhyped). Maybe it's her having met someone like Lee Jong Suk(school 2013, I Hear Your Voice, Doctor Stranger) that did it. This guy carries away awards every drama he touches. Their Pinocchio outing was Daebak.
She acted dismally beside Lee Min Ho in a drama I still don't understand how people praise it ( The Heirs).

I agreed with everything you said. Lee min ho is not the best actor,those actors you mentioned are better than him,in terms of acting(except Yoo seung ho,haven't seen him in anything).

lee min ho is not the best actor but he has something that draws viewers like magnet,heirs is my least favourite of his dramas but i watched it twice,if it were another actor,i wouldn't have watched it.
His intensity onscreen covers his acting for me and i have no problem with that.i cant count how many times i got butterflies in my stomach while watching city hunter,bof,personal taste,and heirs,he is so good in romantic dramas.

I agree that he is over-hyped(he doesn't deserve all the attention) but viewers like actors that keep them glued to their screen and lee min ho does that. i am going crazy waiting for his next drama,hope he chooses a better one this time.

yeah, lee jong suk is a good actor,he made park shin hye relax in pinnochio plus she had the best kiss of her career in that drama.

i finally watched two episodes of producers and orange mermalade,i dont know what to say about producers for now but i will watch it when it stops airing.

i am sticking with orange mermalade for now.omo that drama is very interesting,the only drama i am interested in,after healer this year.
i know a future halluyu star when i see one,that Yeo jin goo guy is going to ride halluyu like a bicycle when he grows older,he outshines many older actors and has much charisma for a young guy(i am his noona,was suprised when i clicked his profile and saw his age,he looks more matured).
That cn blue guy really tried,i hope i wont have second lead syndrome cos i liked his role so far. Did i mention that he is hot?

1.I used to be obsessed with lmh. knew him from BOF. I still like him and I'm a huge minoz. As a kdrama fan, there r certain things u would like ur bias to do(acting) but of late,he has become the CF king.Not saying CFs are bad but it doesn't mean u have to forget ur first love(acting).
all he does now is CF upon CF upon CF.traveling almost everyday (within Asian countries). He's long overdue for a drama trust me.

2.I knew puppy from warrior baek dang soo.I loved his rlshp with SH in it. I was a 20% fan of wookie. Watching empress ki solidified it and healer made me obsessed.
some might say hes overrated or blablabla.. But d real reason I'm drawn to wookie is his acting and d way he moves his audience. he has the acting chops to make u think d character he plays is real.
what makes a good show?its not really d scripts. yes,there r directors and PDs but the actors and actresses are the reason for a shows' success or failure. The way u convey ur character to make ur audience think the xter is actually real makes a good show.

wookie isn't d only bias I love. I have followed a lot of veteran actors and its not cuz they are popular but its their way of drawing u as a viewer to their characters(most of my biases are in their late 30s and above).

I don't ff an actor cuz he's popular trust me.I'm a serious critic when it cones to shows and if I should love u to d point of obsession, then u be done sum'n right.

lol, that shiny boy was my best ost in city hunter, city hunter IMO still remains the best drama lee min ho acted, i will change my mind when he acts another drama that surpasses it.
