Yes I know she chose that 'look' for the drama and luckily it paid off tho a lot of folks complained she looked ugly...

To me it made her look younger and more engaging to watch.

Her short hair in healer was okay, but i prefer her hair in city hunter and sungkyunkwan scandal.

This drama looks promising and comes from my second ever crush back then Kim Bum was heartbreaking in Jung Yi Goddess of Fire. I've only seen him in there and maybe in a few episodes of BOF. I'm looking forward to this new drama of his coming in June. I think it's his first lead role...now this is how you give someone a lead role, starting small. Not giving them a vampire-themed drama that calls for serious acting skills from both male and female leads respectively

Kim Beom and Yoon So-yi (from Warrior Baek dong soo - the archer girl, daughter to female earth lord)

Her character is a police officer and works on the investigation team of the cyber crime division. She then joins the Investigation 5 team, a police unit formed to battle violent crimes using undercover operations.

-----Looks like something interesting. No paranormal or supernatural boogaloo like from Girl who Sees Smells

i wonder why kim bum hasn't been offered lead role in a drama until now, i am happy he has finally gotten one, looking forward to it.

the part where he found out that he's responsible for d death of her father touched me(when she became his personal maid).He even gave her his pocket knife so that she can avenge her father.
The scene that hit me d most was kolta betraying him for money at d end. He trusted that monk. *sigh* empress ki.

one of my favorite scenes was when Nyang was sent to the palace newly and those tim
e she was checking out how to kill the emperor,she even thought of using her sharpened hairpin,those scenes were hilarious.

I love Empress Ki to pieces that I renamed it 51 episodes of awesome! I put like 100% emotions in it while watching, cried at the end, and took a brief break from dramas when I was through with it. But still 3 of my saddest
scenes in a Kdrama came from it.

1) When Tal Tal killed his uncle - I was teary eyed.
2) When Emperor confronted his mother and Kolta towards the end before personally killing the bas.ard - I shed a few tears
3) At the end when like @hilda90 said, Nyang finally told the Emperor those three words he'd been dying to hear while cradling his head on her laps... And he eventually died when he heard. - I cried ehn.
In Emperor's voice, no drama has ever moved me the way E. Ki did.

As for his mother,that b i t c h deserved death,she betrayed him instead of staying by his side,no comment for that kolta guy,i would have beheaded him if i were the emperor,he has the gut to poison him after the emperor trusted him.

One of my fave scene was when Emperor was confronting his top officials and told Tal Tal to bow to him like the rest... And when Tal Tal refused to bow... Lmao that was priceless the way Emperor said you see, why can't you all be real like Tal Tal..

OK lemme stop. Cos I was to Empress Ki what those girls on Dramabeans are to Healer right now... Rotfl

Still ended up as a tragedy though. No happily ever after.

The ending was tragic but that"i love you" from Ha ji won's character made it lighter. I waited ages for those three words,i was very happy it was said at last.

have u read about the casting of empress ki? wookie wasn't for the role,he was the last resort.
Now empress ki has a lot,I mean a lot of veteran actors and actresses But JCW overshadowed them.Not cuz d director made it so(nope,d directors didn't. joo jin mo was d 1st lead)but his acting was so steller that d directors had to change d storyline in favour of him(that wasn't d plan from d beginning). ppl became more drawn to empress ki Cuz of baby emperor not koryo king and its Cuz of that k-netz nicknamed him puppy.
I can go on and on and u ll get tired of me but his good acting has given him so much hype that I don't blame u for thinking hes overrated all .

omo,i heard ji chang wook's role was given to jang geun suk but he rejected it and chose that crappy pretty man( bel ami) it seems that he didnt want to lose that asian prince nickname he gave himself by acting as a second lead,too bad the drama he chose fell flat on the ground.

truth be told,yoo seung ho,in warrior baek surpassed wookie in popularity. And d dude went to d army(proud of him for that).
Wookie is a great actor. he deserves the hype he's getting now. He truly deserves it.His acting in healer was superb but his personality (being too honest to a fault) draws ppl to him.
maybe its cuz of how we talk bout him here or his sudden popularity that makes u think he's overrated But he deserves all d attention.
current polls nowadays with him in it or on insta, ppl choose him.(a lot of polls on insta of him against Lee.The results will shock u).

so with this post,I hope I ve been able to convince or not to convince u that he ain't overrated.

omo,that guy's charisma is no joke. Back in 2012,when
my younger sis was raving about him,i was like,make i hear word jare,then when i was watching bbf,city hunter and personal taste i heard my self shouting "Oppa saranghae"whenever he appears onscreen. lol. thank God i have recovered a little from his grip. He has the tendency to draw people to him. in my area. whenever any of his dramas comes out, people will rush it as if it came directly from heaven,lol.

like i said Lee min ho's name has the tendency to cause a ruckus,see what is happening now.lol.

Apologizing to the public?after disgracing his wife? i swear that guy is the most talented actor in south korea(watch iris to understand what i said) but outside acting, he thinks with his male anatomy and not his brain. he is the most scandalous actor in korea, he once framed an innocent man(hiring people to beat the man up) to cover up his own scandal but was later caught and his womanizing ways are known to everyone. i really pity for his wife.

If I could I avoid any korean tabloids... I'd hate to read that my bias is a total jerko in real life. Once heard about a gorgeous second lead actor who said he hates girls with thick thighs and he got a lot of flack. I was sad he's the judgmental type esp since I love him in dramas (he's that very tall actor in Pinocchio whose mother is rich).

lol,Kim young kwang ruined his career, the rule of being a korea celebrity is - if you have nothing nice to say, then just shut the f u c k up. i dont know what prompted him to say those things, he should have kept quiet. Now korea netizens have labelled him as a grade one douchebag. when i watched love rain with sukkie and yoona, i was busy staring at his face cos he was so handsome and tall, too bad, he is hated everywhere, even international fans hate him.

I may be the only one that thinks this, but Lee min ho seems like the kind of guy that cant stay without a girl, i get that feeling from him. i am not saying this because of his dating news,Dude even said in one of his interviews that a guy and a girl cant be friends and some netizens were bashing him cos of that. i am betting my two cents on this, he will break up with suzy and date another girl by the end of next year.

Like i said, i prefer lee yubi to that jin se yeon girl. i dont think their age difference will be a barrier,lee yubi is not a kid, she was born in 1990.

The first time i watched secret garden i was surprised when i discovered that Ha ji won is older than Hyun bin, likewise Ha ji won and ji chang wook in empress ki. The only thing that matters is chemistry.
