There are other stuffs to factor in aside from the actual cost you see posted online, there is shipping and tax within the place/country of purchase, then there is shipping down2 9ja, customs/excise duties to be paid, charges for getting the foreign exchange out of 9ja in the first place etc,

But yes, you are right, 100k is way2high, I'm sure we can work something out if we put our heads2geda so u can start gaming away

Because of the lopsided state of the country, most Nigerians are not aware of the implication of their actions. Some people actually think it is purely legal to download and share copyrighted content from warez and torrent sites.

Believe me, I'm quite aware of this and I'm sure I didn't downloaded nor do I share anything, That is why I'm asking them to give me documented evidence, cos I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. But they keep coming up with different stories, which to me is ridiculous, plus the fact I know for certain a whole lot of the installation cd's they use are virus infected, which would mean their systems are infected too, most likely their server. So what's to say that they are not being used as some kind of botnet?

This here is to share the issues I have had with starcomms in the last couple of weeks and to find out if anybody out there is experiencing the same issues.

My subscription was to expire on the 11th, but I got cut off on the 10th, around 6.30pm, which in itself was annoying enough. My brother said maybe I miscalculated, so on the 14th, we decided to renew subscription.

After a couple of hours and several calls to starcomms customer service, if you use starcomms I'm sure you feel me here, I still couldn't get activated.

After close to 48hours and several phone calls and long waits, I was told my line has been blocked and should come purchase another 

As far as my subscription goes, the lady I spoke to said I should forget about it,  that even if its 1million I paid for subscription, it's gone and she gleefully told me there's nothing I can do about it.

The reason why the line was blocked in the first place no one could tell me cos I ended up getting different versions each time I called, first it was that a site reported  I downloaded copyrighted materials, so I asked them to provide proof of both the report and the fact that I actually committed the deed, which they didn't do only for them to now say I was spamming; provide proof I said, then they switched to I'm conducting DOS attacks, provide proof, I still insisted, otherwise I'll make this a legal case.

I was then told to send my complaints to ceo.custormerservice@starcomms.com, but guess what, It bounced back!!!
