Education / "I Will Close Down AAUA And Create Another School" – Govt. Akeredolu Said by HOD2(m): 11:35pm On May 06, 2019 |
By: damilola Haruna *if you want peace prepare for war! Goes the adage* Early this evening the body of students union presidents in Ondo state went to the government house at Alagbaka to beseech the Ondo state governance to review and reduce the satanic hike in tution fee across Ondo state institutions. The agitation led by the National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS) president, Comrade Danielson Bamidele with the host of other Students Union Presidents in Ondo state axis ends in hostility and futility as Governor of Ondo state Rotimi Akeredolu pronounced the harsh statement boldened, as relayed by NANS JCC chairman, sobriquet, "RUGGED": *NANS ONDO JCC CHAIRMAN RELAYS* "Dialogue they say is very essential for peace and we try to utilize that approach as a means of appealing to Governor of Ondo State. While the meeting with the governor was on, Comr. Danielson Bamidele appeal to the governor in Owo dialect to be considerate with the increment in the tuition fees of the tertiary institutions in the state. But unfortunately the governor threatened to *"CLEAR"* us. On getting down members of the Nigerian police force were deployed and we were tear gased. He further said *"he will CLOSE AKUNGBA DOWN and the worst is for him to lose his second term ambition"* It can be recall that aaua student is currently on three weeks mid semester break Over protest for no school fee no test policy.

*AAUA STUDENTS APPEAL TO MR
GOVERNOR, BEGS ON THE MITIGATION OF
ANY PURPORTED INCREMENTS
By: Haruna Damilola
Dear Mr. Governor
It is with profound sorrow about the
ramification going around the students of
Adekunle Ajasin Akungba-Akoko that I
write this letter to you.
The governor of Ondo state Oluwarotimi
Odunayo Akeredolu Sir, following your
announcement about the increment of our
tuition fee in the last convocation
ceremony of the institution, there have
been a controversies among the students
which warrants this letter.
Your Excellency Sir, we believe in your
proficiency to increase and decrease our
tuition fee, however we plead for our
utmost consideration in your magnanimity
in this decision.
Sir, we are all aware of the fact that AAUA
has the lowest tuition fee among other
states universities, giving the poor the
privilege to further their education hereby
placing the poor, average and the rich on
same stratum. But with the increment, it
automatically separates we the poor from
the rich in the bid to attain higher
learning, which is an exercise of bad omen
in the Society.
Your Excellency, it is quite obvious that
people came from far and near, different
parts of the country, not only because of
the standard of education given to
students, but also the affordable titution
fee is undoubtedly one of the reasons.
However, with the increment of tuition fee,
it will discourage alot of students and
people of love ones from far and near will
no longer have the privilege to attend this
great citadel of learning because many of
us are from poor background.
Reviewing the aftermath of the increment
as written by a very concerned comrade
Kuta, Victor John, it stated that; "there will
be increase in the dropout rate among the
students because, many of us hustle
defying our pain to get educated, many
sponsored themselves to be educated,
even those who are sponsored by their
parents, they only contribute little to it and
with this increment it will only discourage
us. As a result of this, the dropout rate will
increase."
He further stated that "the female students
might take to prostitution" which I count
as an exercise of bad omen also. He also
included in his write-up that they may
become emotionally imbalanced, because
though we are from poor background we
still try to get ourselves educated but our
efforts were frustrated by Government
that ought to encourage us.
Please Sir, in other to avoid the foreseen
aftermath, we hereby appeal to our
Government and the school authority at
large to please ride on our euphemism of
acceptance in their caucus decision .

By:HOD DEATH At first I was sleeping in the comfort of my zone suddenly the wind overwhelmed the palace everywhere was trampled The land stand expansive The beach line stand extensive But my power stand extrusive In a voice united in one I could hear in an horizon land, push! Push! Push! Deep down an amplitude. It was a harbinger of cessation It was a matter of life and death I have to survive this bereavement Than I thought what is my crime? Am dainty and saintly in my realm But I have to stand firm like pokuwaa the woman in her prime The chuckles of agony in my mouth The ecstasy of pain filled my vacuum I cuddled for survive But gripe and agony supreme The ray of hope is a decades of hopelessness down a tunnel I can't survive this Here death want it district I v to accept to fate Nature have to take it place Then I could feel the demon at the apex of my head Yet it's dim I could feel it at my crest Suddenly everywhere was slippery I was evolve to the demon However I try to circumscribe my self but there is a force Now the next action of the demon is uncertain Though the demon will kick or something But Alas! It began to choke me Right from my head forcing e to it self Then I could feel a hand grab my head Forcing me out perhaps trying to rescue me from the demon I let out. Cry of anguish and pain Cry of happiness that I live again I could hear voices of hope I hear the songs of Happiness The melody of bliss I hear the lullaby of ecstasy I hear the cheers of elation I hear the merriment of pleasure I hear the joy of motherhood It's the arrival of a baby It's the birth of a child I WAS BORN. DEATH
At first I was sleeping in the comfort of my
zone suddenly the wind overwhelmed the
palace everywhere was trampled
The land stand expansive
The beach line stand extensive
But my power stand extrusive
In a voice united in one I could hear in an
horizon land, push! Push! Push! Deep down
an amplitude.
It was a harbinger of cessation
It was a matter of life and death
I have to survive this bereavement
Than I thought what is my crime?
Am dainty and saintly in my realm
But I have to stand firm like pokuwaa the
woman in her prime
The chuckles of agony in my mouth
The ecstasy of pain filled my vacuum
I cuddled for survive
But gripe and agony supreme
The ray of hope is a decades of
hopelessness down a tunnel
I can't survive this
Here death want it district
I v to accept to fate
Nature have to take it place
Then I could feel the demon at the apex of
my head
Yet it's dim I could feel it at my crest
Suddenly everywhere was slippery I was
evolve to the demon
However I try to circumscribe my self but
there is a force
Now the next action of the demon is
uncertain
Though the demon will kick or something
But Alas! It began to choke me
Right from my head forcing e to it self
Then I could feel a hand grab my head
Forcing me out perhaps trying to rescue me
from the demon
I let out. Cry of anguish and pain
Cry of happiness that I live again
I could hear voices of hope
I hear the songs of Happiness
The melody of bliss
I hear the lullaby of ecstasy
I hear the cheers of elation
I hear the merriment of pleasure
I hear the joy of motherhood
It's the arrival of a baby
It's the birth of a child
I WAS BORN.
