And speaking of grounded villain, it means grounded in terms of motivation. Thanos was a grounded villain, same as Loki or Vulture or even Mysterio.

Nolan made sure we never get villains like the Batman and Robin films or that Batman is treated as a serious character.

The reason why they can't use fantastic villains or characters with abilities is not on Nolan but on writing and execution. Let's be honest, Batman is so overhyped as a character that his rogues gallery are ridiculous for a man who has no abilities or a mechanized suit lol. So it's going to be hard having Bruce fighting a super powered Bane, Poison Ivy, Dr. Freeze, Clay face while giving them believable motivation and making Batman look cool.

Even Captain America looked ridiculous taking on Thanos lol. Also, we have to agree that not just comic book fans go to watch these films.

The show is decent for a detective series but not actually good nor great for a Green Lanterns, because the Green Lanterns rings we all know can do way more than just what they are trying to push down their target audience throats

Till date PM2 still sit at 94% score on rt but I don't think we can classified it as a great show. It's at best decent.

The undoing of this show would be trying to make a Green Lanterns series with a meagre budget

No, there was actually no real connection, other than they both existed in same universe, and we all saw the sour taste PM2 dropped on many audience out there tongues. A tv series can not do the heavy lifting. A few months after this season 1 ends nobody will give a f about it - we saw same thing from PM2.. Because the koko of all these fiascos started with those MCU fans disguising as DC fans to attack Zack's DCEU movies for being too different from MCU movies. WB execs even had to listen to their rants and brought Joss Whedon to make DC more like the MCU.
WB biggest mistake was to let go of Christopher Nolan. With his guardiance DCEU could've gone very far by now.

Christopher Nolan is the worst thing to ever happen to DC and Batman, I mean because of him we can't get any fantastical Batman villain, everything has to be "grounded" or set in the real world.
And to your point about MCU fans posing as DCEU fans that's just not true, the movies just sucked and the public didn't really like them that's why the DCEU failed. And Christopher Nolan is technically responsible for it because if he's Batman movies weren't so successful Man of steel would have never happened.

The show looks good, but sorry, it can not do the heavy lifting.
HBO should invest more on show like this. The lack of cgi is not helping at all. We see them invested heavily on GoT and HoD so I don't think show like Green Lanterns needs to be different. They are cgi-heavy, thus if they can't spend then they should leave it.

Peacemaker definitely connected to Superman and will have more connections to Man of Tomorrow

It would have made more had they released the extended version in theatres. The jumbled mess turned everyone off. I'm sure the decision was made hastily due to fear of not making money from a 3 hour cut.

And it appears Warner Bros still haven't learnt anything with the release of Supergirl which allegedly had editing issues as well. The Supergirl film could have worked well with a stronger villain, explored more about Krypton, Kara and her trying to fit in to a world that was alien to her.

There was never anything special about that movie that made it demand 3hrs. If it was half decent and didn't stray so far away from Superman and especially Batman's characterization then it would have crossed a billion. The simple truth is that Zach Snyder does not give two shïts about comics and tried to turn them into his own ideas the problem was that he ain't Christopher Nolan and he ain't no damn Matt Reeves.
