Hy, boss please i have level 2 diploma London City & Guilds in light vehicle Maintenance and Repair principles and i work as a vehicle inspection officer In Nigeria.

Can i use this to apply for any Job in the UK and how do i go about it? thanks

I did my level 5 London City & guilds (NVQ5) qualification in Electrical here in Nigeria four years ago around 350k. It should be around 500k now I think.

If the company can truly support with COS, then it's worth it.

Cold Starting or Hard starting as the name implies is a phenomenon where your car refuses to start especially in the morning or it takes several turns of cranking the ignition key before its starts.

It’s also a common occurrence as low temperatures can cause your car battery to produce less current, making it that much harder for your engine to turn over in the morning. The cold can also stop your engine oil from flowing as well as it should, which puts even more strain on the battery. Essentially, cars and cold don’t get on well.

Below are the reasons why your car hard/cold starts in the morning;

1- Fuel Pump – The fuel systems of the car may develop issues where the fuel pump may be weak and not have enough pressure or be clogged with dirt, the fuel gallery, fuel lines, clogged fuel filter, fuel pressure valve and the regulator might also be faulty having leaks, all this contribute to the car not starting to give optimal performance.

2-Sensors and Actuators- Sensors such as the faulty coolant temperature sensor, stuck idle air control(IAC) valve, EGR valve leaks, clogged or leaking Injectors can cause your car to struggle with starting.

Fix/prevention of Cold/hard starting;

1-Replace faulty Sensors and Actuators such as the; Weak fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and valve, idle air control(IAC) valve, leaky EGR Valve, Coolant temperature sensor, and clogged fuel filters.

2- Switch off every car appliance when the car is parked for the night.

3-Replace faulty and Weak battery


4- Use the recommended Engine Oil

5- Before starting the Car in the morning, put the ignition car start and leave for about five seconds,repeat 3 times before starting the car.

Some car owners place traps around the vehicle or on top of the wheel since rats climb wheels to get into the engine Some block engine entrances with wire screen

2- Remove or Close off rat hiding places near the car.
Cut down nearby thick Bush and vines where they may hide. If you have a garage, block rat-sized entrances to the building, or spray openings with substances that rats hate (see below)

3– Use Chemical that Rats Hates
Rats have a tremendous sense of smell. Just as some smells attract rats, there are also many smells that rats dislike. And knowing something about a rat’s sense of smell can help you deter them from setting up a home on your property, Examples of such Chemicals are Ammonia, peppermint, Red Chilli or pepper, Naphthalene.

4– Use Local methods, Like recruiting a Cat
Rats are afraid and know the smell of their natural predators like a cat, so placing a cat or Cat hair in your car helps to deter rodents.

5– Do not let your car Park unused.
Drive it once in a while to discourage rats from doing mechanical or electrical damage.

6– Use Charcoal
Some people have testified that placing huge chunks of charcoal in your engine hood helps to Scare rat Away

7– Use Rat traps.
Rats traps such as glue traps of mechanical traps help to capture rats and deter the rest of them from frequenting
