In what seems to be a last minute reshuffle in the administration of the government of Mr Project, this came as a shock and has left many to be wondering if all is actually well with the government of Governor Wike.




This feeling is gathering steam because if all was well then this should be a period of consolidation and strategizing with his cabinet on ways to dislodge this opposition party in the state that is doing everything possible to sack him from the brick house of Port Harcourt come 2019.

Although it is within his constitutional powers to appoint and terminate the appointment of whoever he chooses but the timing seems very untimely and this has further increased the speculation by political analyst that all is not well within the ranks of the incumbent government especially for the fact that no cogent reason was given for the sudden termination of appointment of these commissioners.

Some are saying it is a mere reshuffle but if you put two and two together then you will understand that this is not a mere reshuffle as insinuated by those who are contracted to keep the governments information’s under control, and the issue of LATE ARRIVAL to state executive meeting is neither here nor there.

But HolyGist gathered from a reliable source that these affected commissioners are said to have been “Dinning with the DEVIL” and this was discovered by their principal hence the need for the urgent termination of their appointment.

And the allegation went further than that, because it is also said that these commissioner were not just walking in ungodly places, they also stopped working for the re-election bid of Mr Project directly and indirectly and this led to abrupt end of their tenue as commissioners in NEW government upon discovery.

It is also important for people to know that there are a lot of defection and termination shocker to be seen in the coming days and weeks leading to the 2019 general election in Rivers State and this is because there is a big masquerade in town with a lot of cash willing to buy any “POLITICAL COMMODITY OF VALUE with PRICE TAG” and since Mr. Project has been accused of not sharing the money as expected because he claims to be doing project, it is expected that a lot of Nicodemus activities will be going on in the deep of the night.

A Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kano has on Friday, remanded Deji Adeyanju in prison until February 2019.

Deji Adeyanju Popular Nigerian political activist, Deji Adeyanju, has been remanded in prison until February 2019, after a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kano on Friday, took his plea and concluding that it lacked jurisdiction to hear murder charges against him. Recall that Police arrested Adeyanju on December 13, accusing him of being complicit in a murder case from the 2000s. He had been discharged and acquitted by the Kano State High Court following a lengthy trial that lasted between 2005 and 2009.

Police had held Adeyanju in detention without charges for five days before moving him to Kano earlier this week. According to PREMIUM TIMES, the police in Abuja on Friday, the Police arraigned Adeyanju before Hassan Fagge on December 19, but ordered his remand and scheduled today for bail hearing. But when the court opened at about 9:42 a.m. Friday, Fagge said he had determined that he lacked the power to hear the homicide charges brought against Adeyanju by the police, but said the political activist should be remanded in prison until February 6 when a higher court could be available to hear the matter.

While speaking to PT after Adeyanju was subsequently moved to Kano Central Prison, his lawyer, Yusuf Suleiman, on Friday afternoon, condemned the move as a desperate move by the Nigerian government to suppress a major critic a few weeks to the election. “This is clearly an attempt to keep him unlawfully in detention,” Suleiman said, adding that the matter was concluded nearly 10 years ago and should not have been picked up again by the police, much less taken back to court.

Suleiman said the police in Kano are playing politics with Adeyanju’s fundamental rights in a gruesome assault on the Nigerian Constitution. “After detaining him in Abuja for several days without arraignment, in violation of the Constitution that gives a maximum 48 years for such detention, they now charged him for attempted murder which the magistrate said he has no power to hear.“Now a lower court is hearing a matter that the Kano State High Court had decided long ago,” Suleiman said.

Singer and actor Bankole Wellington aka Banky W has lamented bitterly after his campaign posters get destroyed in Lagos.

The actor who joined politics recently and is running for a seat in the House of Assembly can not understand why each party cannot contest peacefully and let the best man win.

According to Banky W who shared photos of the destroyed posters, he and his team spent so much money and time to put up the campaign posters.

“This is so sad” He laments.

“Are you all that scared or angry about what we represent that you can descend so low?” he asked rhetorically.

The actor is however optimistic, says he’ll keep pushing.

The International Police have issued an arrest warrant for former Nigerian Petroleum Minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke following a request by the Federal Government to the agency.

According to reports, the necessary charges had been filed and attached to the extradition request by the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and by this request, all Interpol member countries were obliged to arrest the former minister anywhere she is seen on their territories.

Madueke has been in London, United Kingdom for over three years. Attached to the extradition request was the November 4, 2018 order for her arrest by Justice Valentine Ashi of the FCT High Court.

The court had directed the Inspector-General of Police; the Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Director-General of the State Security Service and all heads of other agencies to apprehend the ex-petroleum minister.

The judge further directed that the order which was signed by the court registrar, E. Balami, should be attached to a warrant for execution on Madueke.

A Jumia dispatch rider was caught on camera punching a customer for rejecting an item that was delivered to him.

A Twitter user, Quadri Olalekan made this known in a Tweet where he shared the video of the dispatch rider assaulting the customer.


While sharing the video, he wrote;

“@JumiaNigeria Dispatch rider punched a customer who rejected a product on delivery cos it was diff frm his request, @JumiaNigeria claiming its a 3rd party company, on an order made on their website, below is the video of the rider and the customer.”


Jumia has now responded to the allegation, the company wrote on their Twitter page saying the customer is now being attended to in order to resolve the issue. Jumia wrote;

The Gambian actress, Princess Shyngle suicide attempt this morning, has landed her in a Lagos hospital.
It was gathered that the actress took an overdose of a medication and drank bleach. Fortunately, she was rescued by a neighbor, who rushed her to Vedic Life care Hospital in Lekki.

According to reports, Shyngle is currently in the emergency room because she was brought in in a critical condition.

The doctors have been able to stabilize her for now, but her blood pressure keeps going up.

The motivation behind her action is unknown for now.

A former Head of State retired Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar has advised politicians that are 70 years and above to retire from politics and give way to younger ones for the progress of the country.

Abubakar gave this advice while speaking on Thursday at Arewa House Kaduna as chairman of the presentation and launching of the book, ” Yakowa: A Dream Differed.”

The former Head of State said if the old politicians feel they are still strong enough to lead the country, they should do so with the motive of safeguarding the peace of the country.

His words: “Politicians who consider themselves worthy to run for political offices should jealously continue to guard the peace of our country.

“I urge you to base your campaign on issue-based campaign. Politicians and their political parties hold the key to the creation of an environment that could foster peace, fair and credible elections and we will ask them to do the needful for the interest of, and well-being of this great country.”

Speaking on his role as a mentor to late Patrick Yakowa, Abdulsalami said, “as former head of state, who appointed late Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa as Minister for Solid Minerals, I thought that it was late Patrick Yakowa that built the foundation of solid mineral resources upon which all that was accorded. Late Patrick Yakowa remained close confided even after my retirement.

“Since Yakowa left the federal government, and returned to Kaduna to serve in the state as secretary to the government, rising to be elected as deputy governor, and then, governor of Kaduna state, I have followed his track record with great interest. I am proud of his achievements. I bear witness to his commitment to peace, service, justice and truthful to the country,” he said.

Attempted Murder: Court issues Two Bench Warrants for the arrest and detention of Chidi Lloyd

And Ojukaye Flag Amachree shuns Murder Trial

A High Court in Port Harcourt has issued two bench warrants directing the Rivers State Police Commissioner to immediately arrest Former Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Mr. Chidi Lloyd for him to be produced for his attempted murder trial.

Justice Chinwendu Nwogu of the Rivers State High Court 19 issued the two bench warrants on Thursday following the absence of Chidi Lloyd and his counsels at the court.

The court ordered that Chidi Lloyd should be detained at the Port Harcourt Federal Prisons till the next adjourned dates for his attempted murder trial.

The embattled Former Majority Leader was expected to take his plea in CHARGE NO: PH/692CR/2018 – THE STATE V. CHIDI LLYOD and. CHARGE NO: PH/693 CR/2018 – THE STATE V. CHIDI LLYOD.

The matter has been adjourned to 10th January 2019 for the for the Police to produce Chidi Lloyd to take his plea.

Lawyers to Chidi Lloyd were in court on Wednesday when their objection was dismissed. On Thursday, the same counsels appeared and registered their names before the court, only to disappear when the case was mentioned.

Addressing journalists after the court sitting, Counsel to the Rivers State Government, Chief Godwin Obla (SAN) stated that the State is ready for the expeditious trial of the former lawmaker.

He said: ” The defendant’s absence was not excused at all. On the basis of that, we applied for bench warrants to be issued for the two different cases to compel the appearance of the defendant in court on the next adjourned date of 10th January 2019.

“Two Bench Warrants have now been issued mandating the Commissioner of Police of Rivers State to arrest and to detain Chidi Lloyd in Port Harcourt prison till the next adjourned date and to produce the defendant in court on the next adjourned date. ”

Also, sacked Rivers State APC Chairman, Mr. Ojukaye Flag Amachree again stayed away from the court as Rivers State Government moved for him to take his plea in his second murder trial before Hon. Justice Joy N. Akpughunum.



Additionally, Counsel to Ojukaye Flag Amachree was absent in respect to Case Number PH/1664/CR/2016 between the State and Ojukaye Flag Amachree.

Following the absence of Ojukaye Flag Amachree to take his plea on his second murder charge, the Court adjourned to January 24, 2019 for the sacked Rivers APC Chairman to take his plea.

Addressing journalists, counsel to the Rivers State Government, Chief Godwin Obla (SAN) said that it was out of the abundance of caution that prosecution requested for a short adjournment to avail the accused person the opportunity to take his plea.

Obla (SAN) noted that hearing notice will be issued and served on the accused person and his counsel. He assured that justice will be done in the suit.

He said: “The matter was today at their instance. We are in court again, the defendant is not in court and his counsel is not in court. His counsel has not written to the court to excuse his absence.

“Out of the abundance of caution, because we know that this is a criminal trial, we decided deliberately not to proceed because if we proceed it will look like the state is just interested in infringing on the constitutional rights of the accused person. The state is interested in the expeditious and fair trial of the accused person.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria added: ” We have out of the abundance of caution applied for a short date to enable fresh hearing notice to be served on the accused person. The matter has been adjourned to the 24th of January 2019 for plea. Hearing notice will be issued and served on them. As officers of the court, we shall also do a letter to the counsel notifying him of the new date.”

He noted that by the next adjourned date Ojukaye Flag Amachree is not in court, the law allows for alternative avenues for trial. Obla assured that Justice will be done in the matter.

Lagos State Commissioner Dumps APC For PDP
Lagos commissioner dumps APC, endorses Agbaje

Wale Oluwo, Lagos state commissioner for energy and mineral resources, has quit the All Progressive Congress (APC), vowing to work for Jimi Agbaje, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the next governorship election.

A source in the party told TheCable that Oluwo has reached out to the camp of Agbaje ahead of the election.

The aggrieved APC member has also quit the cabinet of Akinwumi Ambode, governor of the state.

In his resignation letter, seen by TheCable, Oluwo accused the leadership of the ruling party of being anti-democratic in the process through which Babajide Sanwo-Olu emerged as the flagbearer of the APC in the 2019 governorship election.

Sanwo-Olu, who enjoyed the support of Mandate Movement, a group loyal to Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the party, made history by beating a sitting governor to the ticket of the party.

Oluwo said the governorship primary has diminished the reputation of the APC in the state.

He alleged that a powerful group in the APC had been violating the principle of separation of powers and “intimidating critical institutions of democracy in the state”.

The Commissioner’s statement reads

A few hours ago, I submitted to His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State, a letter of resignation of my appointment as the Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources. Consequently, as a registered member of the All Progressives Congress, I have deemed it necessary to formally notify you of my intention to reconsider my membership status.

My decision to resign is not unconnected with the events of the last few weeks, which have created a heavy moral burden for me. I have found it rather difficult to come to terms or rationalize the party’s conduct of the October 2018 primary elections, which were largely characterized by massive voter disenfranchisement, intimidation, violence, undue influence and non-compliance with all known principles of democracy. In the particular case of the gubernatorial primary, which was conducted using the “open ballot” option in violation of the guidelines of the APC that specified the “open-secret ballot” option, it is clear to me that the core principles of merit, competence, justice and fairness have been sacrificed by the APC on the altar of political expediency.

The integrity-deficient nature of the primary has significantly diminished the hard-earned reputation of our State as a reference point for free and fair democratic practice. I have struggled for weeks to understand the rationale for the apparent desperation and brigandage brazenly displayed by the party apparatchik in the various elections. I had never thought such a vicious attack could be unleashed on the progress that the state had made in its steady democratic journey.

The indifference of the APC to the continued use of an arm of government by a powerful group within the party, to intimidate critical institutions of democracy in the State, undermines the doctrine of separation of powers, creates an atmosphere of uncertainty and impairs government’s ability to implement policies and programmes that will benefit the majority of the people. This is in conflict with my strongly held belief that group interest, no matter how powerful, must be subordinated to the interest of the majority.

I am convinced that the present atmosphere of encirclement will not abate anytime soon. I therefore, resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress, immediately.

Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi has hit at Bishop David Oyedepo over his statement on President being dead and cloned as Jubril Sudan.

Oyedepo had on Sunday reacted to report that Buhari was dead and the President in Aso Rock was Jubril El Sudan. Oyedepo, speaking from Living Faith church HQ at Canaan land, Ota, on Sunday called on Buhari to as a matter of urgency, address the nation on the allegation.

But, reacting, Buhari’s aide, Ogunlesi took to his Twitter page, describing Oyedepo as a hater of Buhari.

Ogunlesi wrote: “Olatunji Dare, one of Nigeria’s finest satirists, wrote a piece titled ‘Buhari’s Double’ on Nov 27:

“Pastor of one of Nigeria’s LARGEST CHURCHES cites the SATIRE in a sermon (apparently yest) as evidence PMB likely dead.

Dumo Lulu-Briggs, an aspirant for the Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket, has dumped the party for Accord Party.

Dumo Lulu-Briggs pulled out of the APC governorship primaries sighting irregularities on the part of the APC leadership in Rivers State. The primary was won by the co-founder of Sahara Group, Pastor Tonye Cole. He had also accused Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation, of imposing candidates on the party.

On why he defected from APC, Briggs speaking to newsmen in the state said: “I am 100 per cent Rivers just as you, and so I trust that we shall keep our friendship and possibly realign if and when we feel the need. “I bear no grudge or malice and I implore that you take none towards me. What is obvious is that I have to continue my quest to help liberate our state by advancing my vision on another platform.



“I take from the experience valuable lessons, and from you, I took warm memories. I pray that God keeps us healthy and able to rescue Rivers State and elect a governor who will give Rivers people quality leadership and service. “Once again, I reiterate that it is about Rivers people and my doors are open, praying that we find ourselves in ONE ACCORD.”

The 2018 Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God begins today. The theme for this year’s congress is ‘Glory Ahead’. It is scheduled to hold between December 3rd-8th, 2018 at the Redemption Camp, km 46, Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Without any doubt, God is set to do things never seen, heard or known before, for millions who will be gathering at the Redemption camp and those who will be watching at various viewing centres all over the world.

Buhari Was Not Cloned But …. – Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has stated that President Muhammad Buhari was not cloned. He made this statement in reaction to the president speaking in Poland where he debunked reports that he was been cloned.

According to Nnamdi Kanu, his position is that President Buhari is dead and has been replaced by a Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani. His words: “We are going to dismantle the lies of Lai Mohammed and his brother (Senator Ajayi Borroffice), who claims he holds a doctorate degree in genetics and said nobody can clone a 75-yr-old.



“Lai Mohammed re-echoed that sentiment. If you’re not intelligent enough, you will think that Nnamdi Kanu said Buhari was cloned into Jubril (a Sudanese).

“That was not what I said. I said Jubril is an impostor. They (the cabal) brought him in to act and behave like the ‘dead’ Buhari. I never said he was cloned.



“The introduction of cloning into the narrative was a ploy to confuse the people. “I am very grateful that the Sudanese government are doing something about this by investigating the matter.

“It must be mentioned that the mastermind of the fraud of Jibril is Abba Kyari. Has anyone seen him recently?”

Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome, more popularly known as CSO, is the daughter of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. As the daughter of the founder of Loveworld, CSO certainly has some big shoes to fill, so far it looks like she is succeeding!

The young gospel starlet won 2 LIMA awards, each one in a different category.

Born in 1993, Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome, also known as CSO, is a London based gospel artist with an impressive resume. The musician, like her father, has dedicated her life to spreading the gospel. She is one of the most popular singers in Nigeria and made her debut in 2014 with the hit song “I’m Excellent’ featuring Ice Stanley.



Last year she married the Ghanaian entrepreneur, Philip Frimpong in a dream wedding. Frimpong is the co-founder of the growing African décor and design company, ONUA.



Song of The Year

Sharon’s famous single “Holy Spirit” won two LIMA awards in the categories, ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Worship Song of the Year’.

Despite tough competition this year, she managed to pull both awards, which is a huge feat. The song is fast becoming, what many people are calling, the new church hymn.



Sharon shot the video for the song in the beautiful country of Switzerland. The double win seriously overwhelmed the artist. Upon receiving it she thanked God and her talented team for guiding her and helping her through the process. The artist then took to Instagram to express her gratitude.

“Sometimes thoughts can come that make you feel small in comparison to others, but God is not necessarily looking for the most powerful vocalist. It is not about how fantastic your voice is or how many riffs and runs you can do. It is not by power, nor by might but by my spirit – saith the Lord!

Wow! To have won the award of “Worship Song of the Year” is so huge and undeniably supernatural. Then on top of that, the song of the year (2018) – seriously 10 years in 1!! In 2014, I told myself one day I will write the worship song of the year! And in this year of the supernatural, my first released worship song was deemed worship song of the year! The testimonies that came from this song were unfathomable.

I’m grateful to God for every good and perfect gift comes from Him and I’m grateful to my husband for his love, support, and constant encouragement! Thank you all for celebrating me! God bless you.”

Big Set Back For Atiku Election As Gov Wike set resigns As SS Campaign Director

Reports suggest a major upset is set to hit the presidential campaign of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar as the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike allegedly resigned his appointment as the south-south zonal coordinator of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential campaign council.

According to a report by The Sun, Wike’s letter of resignation as Atiku’s campaign coordinator for the south-south is ready and would be submitted today, Saturday.

Recall that the PDP had in October named Senate President, Bukola Saraki, as Director-General of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Council along with prominent leaders of the party as zonal coordinators.

Announcing their appointment, the party’s national chairman, Uche Secondus, had said: “After due consultation with party stakeholders, PDP, under my leadership has approved the following as members of Atiku Presidential Campaign Council.”

Apart from the Senate president, Ayo Fayose, Aminu Tambuwal, Ibrahim Dankwambo, Samuel Ortom, Nyesom Wike and Dave Umahi were named as zonal coordinators.

While Governor Aminu Tambuwal was named as the Zonal Coordinator for NorthWest, Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo was appointed Zonal Coordinator for North-East, Governor Samuel Ortom for North-Central, Governor Dave Umahi for South-East, Nyesom Wike for South-South and former Governor Ayodele Fayose as Zonal Coordinator for the SouthWest.

However, barely a month after the appointments, it was gathered that Wike was not comfortable with the way things are going in the campaign especially lack of consultations of appropriate party leaders before vital decisions and appointments are made.

A close source to the governor, however, said notwithstanding the resignation by the governor, he remains committed to the party and the 2019 campaigns.
