Now, see it this way lets agree that you are the client that
needs an estimate for clearing a car and someone responded
the way you did, would you still do biz with that agent?

You have right to your opinion.

Sometimes, when it comes to clearing, there is due process
and there is back door. If you want to clear and you show the
bill of ladin and i ascertain from the final invoice the cost of the
car and may be the no of days it has spent at tin can {nija}{bla
bla bla} then i will be able to calculate the right cost even without
billing you extraordinarily.

But in a case where it has to be back door process, so many
things can still crawl up in which is not budgeted for,

Well, I dont know what might cause the experiencce wwheelz
was talking about.

to do these cars biz. {If there is enough cash}

Those vehicles are cheaper now and no CUSTOMS DUTIES
review yet, so for those who could send cash on errand
its time to do so.

Let me clear those cars, goods for you, @ a reasonable
cost. I always work on small bite of profit to keep me going

The only reason i charged my clients more than last years
cost was just the fall in naira value compare tto $which is
only on the customs duities and its understadable.

Even with all this change in cost my clearing costs is still the
CHEAPEST you can get around.
My clients have confirmed this several times.

I am a CLEARING AGENT

Iam here to do biz and not to spoil any
agents biz.

Now, the clearing cost you are talking about is
comprised of may things. part of which is the
main CUSTOMS DUTIES

the customs duties are calculated based on
% of the price of the goods imported and those
goods are in dollars.

it means if your customs duties for cars purchased
last year was $1500*120= 180,000 naira then
this year same customs duties will be calculated
as $1500*148=222,000 naira.

Except this factor i dont charge my clients any
astronomical charges different from last year's
cost.

I always love taking scrap profit from host of clients
and not huge profit from few.

will serve as the major cost from which the duties willl
be paid.

Then for how long is it in lagos. This will just help to

I will like to work on yourr request, but i want you to
be more specific about you offer, like

the year of the vehicle and some other helpful hints.

This is how i work, i have to secure a buyer's intrerest
and agreement, after which, i will now get the vehicle
imported/sent from the UK. which takes 10-15days to
get here.

I dont have a contract to keep the vehicles and start
looking for buyers but to secure and agree with a buyer
before having the cars sent.

SCAM! You wont part with a dime till you get your cars
