Two years following the completion of Beijing Daxing International Airport, Chengdu has officially opened its own mega-airport. Chengdu Tianfu International Airport – the second international airport in Sichuan’s capital city – started operations on Sunday morning. Chengdu is now the third city in China home to two international airports, with Beijing and Shanghai as the other two cities. Similar to Beijing’s Daxing airport, Chengdu Tianfu is located roughly 50 kilometers away from the city center – depending on where you’re trying to go, of course. A trip from Chengdu Tianfu to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is around 84 kilometers away, according to Google Maps. According to Sichuan’s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the city’s two airports will eventually be connected via Chengdu Metro Line 19 – providing a 30-minute commute. Sunday’s official opening marked the completion of the project’s first phase, which includes the construction of three runways and two terminals that can handle up to 60 million passengers annually. China Daily reports that long-term plans for the airport terminals will cover 1.4 million square meters and handle 120 million annual passengers. Chengdu’s two international airports should help the city become a major transportation hub, linking the PRC with Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Europe. However, this may take some time as China’s borders remain closed off to most foreign travelers, and a reduced number of international flights are currently bound for the country. Kaduna (Castration for Men, and Removal of Fallopian Tube for Women), and Osun (Life in Prison Sentencing for Men) States are the only States that have taken action on this Rape Epidemic. What is baffling me is what the other useless State House of Assembly Members are doing? What are they waiting for What are they capable of doing apart from sharing money. By the way, Ogun State had the most useless Governor in the South West. Since the Law Enactments in Kaduna and Osun, there has been no single case in Kaduna, while the only case in Osun was handled speedily because there was now already a Law in place. It said that that: Where there is no Law, there is no Sin. You can't be sentencing people to 2 or 3 years in prison for taking away what they cannot give back. This is unfair and highly shameful. 1 Like |

Nigerians can be very gullible. The texts accompanying the Photo are Traditional Chinese Characters used only in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Yet, the OP said India and even mentioned a probable fictitious name. Where is the photo of the imaginary criminal. Don't believe half-baked stories. How did this even make it to the FP? |

This is a very useful post. There is a reason why it made the Front Page. Why are people bastardizing it by replying with things as tr54 n, tym, d, 2, etc.? Has Nairaland come to this? Guys, this is not good. Personally, I find the information shared by the Poster (homeprofitmaste) very insightful. And if I don’t, I would just ignore it, not trash it as you guys above have done. Dear homeprofitmaste, bless you! |

@apache77: When I saw your request, I wanted to send to you the contact information of 2 reliable China’s Suppliers that I have used in the past. You will find them useful when you arrive in China. Unfortunately, I can’t see your e-mail address anywhere here. |

@Tos In case you still haven't gotten any help on your case, it may be a good idea to contact this Shanghai-based company (www.). I have used them twice this year alone to import flash disks. During my last visit there, I met some people discussing with them about fabrics issues. They may be able to help you. From my experience, I would suggest you initially send them a mail and see what they say. It is their boss who normally responds to mails, and I guess he lives abroad. They will let you know what is possible. That should help you in making a good decision. Good luck! |

Does anyone know that Pastor Kumuyi, the great man of God, the Founder of Deeper Life, attended May Flower? Does that not tell us the kind of Leaders (with great Discipline) that were brought up at the school? You all can see how Kumuyi lives compared to our many “modern” prosperity preachers, especially that bald-headed, jet-buying, pastorpreneur – the grandmaster of all con-pastors. Money doesn’t buy class. Mama, your selfless lifestyle tells a lot about you, and you will always live in our hearts. RIP Mama Sheila! |

Okay, Cool! You get Paypal. The issue is: most Sellers will refuse to ship to your location which is Nigeria. The whole issue is much more than just buying. You buy, but nobody wants to ship to your GF/BS country. What will you do about that? |

Are you planning to buy for personal use, or to resell? From your posting, it is difficult to know what you actually want. I know some trustworthy, genuine suppliers in Mainland China & Hong Kong that might consider taking up your request if your intended order is real. I hope you know there are many fake buyers (time-wasters/scammers) - it is not only suppliers that scam. |

G20 is going on now in Cannes, France. Where is Nigeria? Member of the G20 by the year 2015! Dreamers. Silly & Visionless Leaders. Currently, Nigeria is not even in the top 50. When a country spends 70% of her revenue on Workers Salaries, is there any future? When all the Leaders do is fighting like mad to win elections so they can steal public fund, knowing that there will not be any consequences whatsoever, where is the future? For God’s sake, where did we get it wrong? Was it the annulment of June 12, 1992? Is it because Gowon stayed for too long? Is it because we were dribbled by a Maradona (IBB) for 8 wasted years? Is it because of the Illiterate one (Abacha)? Don’t even talk about OBJ (the worst ever)! Since Independence, Nigeria was on the right track for only 7 months under Murtala Mohammed (the best leader ever). Guys, it is too late. Sad, but true. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. No true revolution is peaceful (Ask China! Ask France!). Until there is a justice system where the punishment for stealing of public funds is a capital offense (a death sentence), we will never get it right. What about our values? Even these themselves have problems. We (all the tribes, especially the major 3 tribes) love parties like hell. We love to ride the best cars even when we still have to import even the tiniest thing in a vehicle. We are the country of Tokunbos, the country of used underwear; and we are still stupidly proud to talk about being the Giant (sorry, Ant) of Africa. With the continuous increase in the population, we would have to spend almost 90% of our revenue on Salaries by the year 2015. Where will the money for development come from? To make an already hopeless situation absolutely hopeless, the so called “Fresh Air” is still surrounded by the same group of people who drove us into the ditch. Do I need to continue? For God’s sake, how did we get here? How did we miss the road? Nigeria my Motherland, I love you, but I also weep and mourn for you. {If you agree with some or all of the above, do not only reply to it, but copy and paste it in other relevant/related threads on this Forum} |

I am by the grace of God a born-again Christian, and I am proud of it and bless the name of the Lord for it. But I simply don’t understand this madness about focusing on financial prosperity as if the Lord Jesus was crucified on Calvary for this. The (My) Lord was a Servant-King; yes, a Servant-King. These days the mind of the youths are being focused on the gift instead on the Giver, thus leading many astray. They are tired of going on the road, now they have stepped up to flying in the air. Christianity without Cross is that of eternal death. Matt 6, 21 says it all – Where your treasure is, there your heart will also be. Let them continue the acquisition of private Jets. We shall all see whom they will leave them for. Thank God, I know Whom I serve. |

Guys, you have to be very sensible and realistic. So if somebody has lived abroad for many years, and then suddenly gets appointed to a political office (no matter how small - even in a local government) in Nigeria, he will have to close down all his bank accounts. I mean, all the accounts he may have been using for many years. Please say that again! They are wasting their time. They are just chasing shadows instead of fighting the real corruption. If the guy were that bad, OBJ would have nailed him a long time ago. Like him or hate him, there is no proof whatsoever (and a proof is needed in law) to convict BAT. Long live BAT! All the people now praising Fashola were the ones who viciously condemned BAT when he out of nowhere brought Fash into politics. Having said that, I am all for fighting corruption, even giving them capital punishment if possible. But you don’t convict people just because you don’t like them. Proof is needed. I mean physical evidence – not just word of mouth. At least that is what is done in civilized societies. |

belod4me Sir, I don’t want to join issues with you, but I stand corrected that you are wrong on this issue. (1.) I have this card which you are talking about. Mine is from GTB. I don’t bank with Zenith so I don't know what they do at their end. (2.) The GTB Master Card is Naira denominated. The one issued by SCB (Standard Chartered Bank) can be used to withdraw FC abroad. I, also, do some international import-export business and I know these cards are not suitable for what you are claiming. However, I can withdraw an equivalent FC of any fund deposited into my GTB or SCB Naira Accounts in Nigeria. (3.) There is a difference between Importation (which is usually in bulk) and Internet Shopping. Ogb5’s problem is the former, not the latter. (4.) The card you are talking about can only be used to do ATM withdrawals and shopping in the Stores/Shopping Malls. Even, they can’t be used to do online shopping as GTB claims (I have taken them up on this, but they didn’t reply out of embarrassment). To do online shopping, you need a FC denominated Card. My friend, what has a Card got to do with a RAR (Risk Assessment Report)? If you are doing bulk importation as in the case of Ogb5, you must go through the entire process of importation – Form M, B/L + Packing List, and then RAR; and you better do them right. There is no other way. Case closed! |

belod4me I hear you! GTB (or Zenith or whichever Bank) Naira Master Card is only useful for shopping or withdrawing fund in FC when one is abroad. How is that going to help in resolving the problem of not being able to raise a RAR due to Form M and B/L having the same date? Ogb5, I hope you get this problem solved quickly. You won’t be able to do anything again once your goods arrive at the Nigeria Port, so move fast on this. It happened to me before and I had to pay more than 3 times of what I was supposed to pay for clearing (250K instead of 80K). Wishing you good luck! |

Look at the first sentence of the last paragraph. “This will become more apparent to all Nigerians when the debates eventually takes place.” Is this the best from a presidential speech writer? This guy is being paid a hefty salary from the public tax (including mine). He can’t get right a basic English Grammar. This is what Nigeria has become. |
