ifeness: many white slave owners forced their slaves to attend white controlled churches because they afraid the slaves were likely to rebel if left alone.Same question goes to you. One more thing, how Christianity is practiced now is different from what Jesus represented on earth, if you think the way christian (most) behave now is how JESUS advised, kindly show us. |
this is christianity to you my fellow Africans: https://www.operationmorningstar.org/carlisekids1.jpg Before-After https://farm6.static.flickr.com/5087/5206879923_663d69d836.jpg
Prior to the advent of Christianity, was the world devoid of wars and oppression? |
Chiopatra: In this world of today one gat to be careful. What does it take to ignore just one unknown number. My dear prevention is better than cure.Gullible people. so you mean the voice you hear is going to kill you? Ok, let's start: "I got a text today that no one should post on this thread again after my post, anyone who does is going to die instantly" Let the game of the dummies begin. |
Buddhism is a derivative of Hinduism, so to an extent yes. These above Nations were never less civilized. INFACT, India (The Indus Valley Civilization), and China (The Hwang Ho Civilizations) were one of the first civilizations in the world, at a time when the hebrews were running around unclad, and the europeans were isolated savages. they also had one of the finest Universities, etc., in Ancient times BC. Japan on the other hand was never truly colonized. THEY WHERE ALSO THE ONLY, NON-EUROPEAN NATION TO TAKE PART IN WORLD WAR II AS AN EQUAL, ALLIED TO THE GERMANS AND ITALIANS. No there was certainly no colonizing. there was enslaving, but in the Pagan days slaves were treated as part of the family and were freed after a certain period of service. Many Pagan Nations however did not even have the concept of slavery, especially India. there was the caste system, but even the lowest of the low was still a paid worker. he/she just didnt have any other choice of job. and ofcourse you must have heard of Roman slaves, and how they were freed after certain years of service. Over time, slaves gained increased legal protection, including the right to file complaints against their masters. After manimissio, a freed slave was known as a libertus and any future children of a freedman would be born with full citizenship. Selling defeated soldiers as slaves brought much income, and was an alternative to imprisoning or killing them. During the Pagan festival of Saturnalia, the slave and the master ceremonially "switched places", though in practice this was a thinly veiled pretense that was carefully circumscribed. However it shoes the treatment of and high regard of slaves during he Pagan days. Several Pagan emperors began to grant more rights to slaves as the empire grew. Claudius announced that if a slave was abandoned by his master, he became free. Nero granted slaves the right to complain against their masters in a court. And under Antoninus Pius, a master who killed a slave without just cause could be tried for homicide. Legal protection of slaves continued to grow as the empire expanded. It became common throughout the mid to late 2nd century AD to allow slaves to complain of cruel or unfair treatment by their owners. also slaves were generally not taken to such far off places to a point of no return and huddled up and suffocated to death in ships. and never has slavery been done to such a large ecxtent as the trans-atlantic. and most important of all, slaves were not forcefully converted, made to forget their identity, culture, etc. Entire Nations stealing and using other nations as reserve pools was unheard off. If a Pagan Nation conquered another Pagan NAtion, it was its duty to treat it as its own with regards to its subsequent progress and development. christianity stops us from progress and evolving in that, it gos by the writings of a specifc book written 2000 years ago, unlike Pagan religions tat change over time and do not go by a book. christianity, especially the fanatic part of it, poses a great hurdle to the Sciences, as is evident from its rejection of Evolution, the postion of the planets, etc.
LOL, i really do not have time to go into stories with you bro.. just pick up one of these Chinese or Bollywood movies (their drama and war movies) to see how you contradict yourself with each sentence you type. Like i said, i am not here to say which is good or bad, i am here to see the cogent message in each of these three "religions" which those practicing them have lost in their pursuit for their various individual gains. People are now into the opposite of what religion teaches, they do the opposite but when the blame starts, it's blamed on the "religion" and not the person going against the teachings. |
rozayx5: sorry, just adjust well and make sure your system detects signals early, if it does, just avoid entering when that trend has exhausted, my indicators had shown that the EU sell was getting exhausted, i have closed both EU and UC trades for clean 50 pips from bothWell market can be like this sometimes sha. |
naijababe: Write long post to prove what again jare? Tell me, what did PDP use to nail Tinubu again?!Tinubu knows he can't fight corruption so he doesn't talk about it. But Buhari speaks about corruption and for you to be that verbal about something, you must be coming with clean hands. now tell me, is it possible to promise to put corrupt people behind bars if you know your own skeleton is in the cupboard? Buhari's selling point is fight against corruption and a corrupt man can't marshaled such a call, true or false? |
rozayx5: I hope you did not enter those trades , got my counter alerts and smiling wide, I never trade my system after the signals have gone more than 20 pipsI did o.. and my STOPS dey look me for face already. |
gbadexy: One has to keep a level head and reflect on this information. You should also know that IBB is smart enough to try to deviate attention from himself by bringing up stuffs like this just to sound relevant. |
naijababe: This is why some of y'all need to pick up a book once in a while. Google is your friend, do it yourself. You can see what Genbuhari is doing? just do it at least one.. Dr Saraki did, yet PDP didn't see it fit enough to be used to nail him? |
ifeness: Your bible definitely proves it,after all it is only a fraction of the original roman catholic bible. Where did you put the worshiping of virgin Mary?l Christians are blind followers, who haven't considered reality. They lack common sense if they want to live their lives based on one old book, boring, backwards, uncreative and intellectually stifling. The belief that only Christians are going to heaven and the rest of us hell. people like these have a serious problem.Just like i said, Christianity is a way of life and not a religion, it's best preached by the way we live, why the early Christians were given that name was because they lived and acted the way Jesus lived. i am not telling you to become a christian, it's a choice, I'm not also here to tell you which is better, rather i am here to learn on how to live more like Christ so that when others see the glory of living like him in me, if convinced, they can decide to be like Christ by following his way of life. Lastly, i don't have time debating if it's true or false, won't stop you from practicing whatever you believe in as long as it's not going to affect my right to life, I'm learning to live my life as Christ did and also to make sure i don't affect anyone right to life negatively. Christianity is not suppose to force or compel you to convert, rather it's an individual decision and this makes it unique. |
naijababe:Can you prove this? i mean we wouldn't like to be reading rumors, them say them say.. who traced the money to his account in London? account in London? lol |
naijababe: Contrary to popular opinion, Buhari is not the saint that he's being made out to be. He was indeed the minister of petroleum under Obasanjo in 79; under his watch $3B disappeared from the account of the NNPC. When Buhari overthrew Shagari's govt, the first port of call was the office of the NNPC where all documentation relating to the money promptly disappeared to this day.We all know no one in the world is a saint, not even the pope but bringing this up is funny because if truly what you're saying has anything to do with Buhari, do you think it wouldn't have been used against him since by all his opponents all these while? |
rozayx5: its Abacha's Structural Adjustment program (SAP)Abacha or babangida? You can enter now. Although market has hit our minimum target and our 2-week context has been completed, it is still possible due to some specified reasons to see move to 1.2340-1.2380 area: http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/forex-forum/sive-morten-analysis/21283-eur-usd-daily-video-august-28-2012-a.html |
ifeness: you can prove Jesus exist either! My bible proves that, my day to day experience also proves that, also events and places which still exists till today proves that too. Now what do you believe in? and can you prove your beliefs? |
Idokojimmy: http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/news/59356-babangida-threatens-to-expose-buhari.htmlNow, we are waiting for him to tell us what we don't know about Buhari ASAP. We're waiting o and if he does not talk, then he's a liar as usual. |
ifeness: Really? What is your say on gay people?Stick to the topic, I'm not here to answer questions from individual, i am only here to debunk what i believe is misleading if i want to. ifeness: the bible is not the oldest but,the Sumerian tablets, books of the ti bets, dead sea scroll are far older and the bible was written from them.Since you can't prove that, let it fly. |
mkmyers45: Are you insinuating that humans inserted thier own laws in the bible? Thats okay..do we know to what extent or how much man made stuff is in the bible? Some laws were made to address the issues of that age (law of moses) and these laws are still in the bible as a reference to why Jesus came and why he fulfilled these laws with his death. Won't be responding to your post for now until you at least answer each of my questions from the very start. |
as a major religion "today" ok there is Japan, China, India, etc. i dont want to mention the considerable progress and development these nations have done, without colonising, enslaving, stealing or destroying other peoples lands. The end result is World peace, progress and development, both in cultural, spiritual and material ways.
LOL, so Buddha is a pagan religion and the best religion right? i bet their country is so peaceful, loving and devoid of evil experienced in other countries where other religion is practiced? before they started having this "progress" you're talking about, were they not practicing paganism/Buddha when they were less civilized? When christianity was not in some parts of Africa, Asia and other places you mentioned, was there no colonizing, enslaving, stealing or destroying other peoples lands then? Christianity does not stop you from progress or evolving or can you prove it does? |
mkmyers45: Matt 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.He came to fulfill them, meaning? Fulfill means to do what is necessary to bring about or achieve something expected, desired, or promised. he came to end it, his death and resurrection did justices to the laws that needed to be fulfilled. His way of life then encompasses of the 10 commandments which is to be lived in your daily activities in life but making sure they are ENGROSSED in love. Jesus's ministry on earth was encircled around love and generosity amidst the other commandments. |
ifeness: I never said living like Jesus is a ritual but worshiping him is.This thread is not for rumor mongering and beer parlor gossiping.. when you post, include your source to back up your "story" that is different from what we have in the oldest book which is the holy bible. Are the Jews to you Arabs? |
oh ok. something better in place, is always the Traditional Pagan Religions / Paganism. because the kids are the ones who actually did the crime. a well-bred chicken can sometimes have 1 or 2 bad eggs. however i do not say the Judaism is completely innocent. they have created trouble in the past.
LOL pagan religion and for whose purpose is this religion? what does it entails? who does it glorify? can you mention countries practicing this "religion"? and how has it better the lives of those practicing it and their environment at large? and what is the end result of this "religion" you chose as the best? |
mkmyers45: Christainity is a religion as you must ask yourself where does christainity stem from..from your dictionary christainity is a religion no? The true presets to me are no longer strictly practiced...Rephrase. |
mkmyers45: Let me ask you something..so we obey all laws in the holy books or some? The main laws that birthed other laws in the holy bible remains the 10 commandments, any other law that does not reflect these 10 laws remains man made and can be done away with depending on the environment. |
mkmyers45: So true christainity entails travelling, winning souls and then dying for your faith?Answer my question first, i need to know your "knowledge" in what Christianity entails before i proceed. |
mkmyers45: Christainity is a religion as you must ask yourself where does christainity stem from..from your dictionary christainity is a religion no? The true presets to me are no longer strictly practiced...Christianity as it was calved out came from the way of life of Jesus who came to perfect Judaism, but because the jews found it strange and "difficult" to follow based on their knowledge then, they rejected it, you know it's hard to break an habit. Christ came to abolish most of the physical rituals Judaism practiced and also came to show those who wish to follow the proper and better way to have access to God without having to shed animal blood or human blood as the case may be. Christianity as it's suppose to be was to be preached by your acts and not anything else. |
ifeness: worshiping Jesus is never a way of life but a religious ritualExplain to me how living like Jesus is a religious ritual and not a way of life. To be on a good start, can you tell me if the live of Jesus is worth following or living? if not, why? |
judaism, because they have comitted less crime in history and are relatively less proselytising. however, their crime is to give birth to these 2 other useless religions.
You already said the 3 is bad, i asked you for something better than the 3 and not from the 3. Secondly, why would you want to blame the kids and not the father that gave birth to the kids? (assuming you are even right) When a child turns out to be bad, who do you blame? can a fruit fall too far away from the tree that bore it? |
mkmyers45: The glaring similarities show them to come from one source and we know that any tree breeding different fruits is a bad tree..but also i wonder if the similarities are drawn in a sense that followers will call the true nature of the religion..This is where the power of choice comes in, coming from the same source but the people who practice these "religion" are actually the ones making it look bad because they put in practice only what suits them and ignore the ones they feel is going to expose their hypocrisy. |
Another issue i have with the comparison is that they failed to know that Christianity is not a religion, rather a way of life, it's your acts that is suppose to prove that you're a christian and not by your name, your country or your family background. |
wow im trying to choose which one is the worst! |
Inferiority complex, trying to prove a worth by all means...HMMMMMMMM |
