Nairaland General › Re: Some Interesting Facts We Probably Dont Know About Christmas. by honeric01(m): 3:09pm On Dec 23, 2015 |
Peree: In the Czech Republic single women perform a very unusual ritual on Christmas Eve Day, to find out if they will marry in the following year. With their backs to the house door, they throw one of their shoes over their shoulder. If the shoe lands with the heel towards the door, she will definitely stay single for another year, while if the front of the shoe points towards the door, it means she will move out of her parents house, and she should start making wedding preparations. And if both outcomes don't come out? |

Part of what he said yesterday which I was impressed about was empowerment intiatives he has championed in Kano. He talked about farmers, tomato farming and 500k grant to the poor Kano tomato farmers etc.
So, surprised with your feedback. Thought the poor should like him more. Hello Jarus, Pls respond to your PM. Thanks |

Very simple - calculate all the amount she has spent on you, tell her you can't marry her because of what she spent on you and how she reminds you of it. Gather the money, pay her back and move out of her life.
Very simple.

Psalm18: Nigeria has money. It's corruption that has derailed the nation. Secondly, you don't correct a mistake by making another one. Leadership is a burden not a means for enjoyment. Ideas are what drives nations. If a govt is not ready to be creative in providing solutions or generating funds to run a country, then it has no business vying for votes. Telling people to frog jump is plain wrong. It's the same category as lyching suspected criminals. Societies dont evolve to been advanced by using barbaric and cruel means. There's nothing 'cruel' in doing frog jump, at least the man go see something amusing tell him family for house when he reach. You think he's going to try this again elsewhere? There are other pressing matter for now, until then let the frog jump continue. Until we have correction centers everywhere.. Until we have real social workers everywhere, until we have a good identity system in place.. Let the frog jump continue.. Afterall na for people wey no kukuma value their lives. |

Psalm18: Good question. It will interest you to know even in advanced countries, the debate is what to do if poor income earners cannot pay fines. One option is community service. Or secondly, instead of fine in the first place. These offenders could be delayed by making them undego an hour of class on civic responsibility and the dangers of not using pedestrian bridges. Most of these offenders are in a rush, so once they know been kept for one hour or to lose ten minutes of their time by using the right option. They will choose the right option. Telling adults to frog jump by any military or para military is wrong, barbaric and send the wrong signals. Incidents like this is what leads to burning and stoning of thief's, bullying as well. That's in a country where there is fund and human resources to free-train ignorant, stubborn and uncivilised people. Who's going to provide all these? The same govt after providing the bridges? Should they also help them climb the bridges too?Nigerians are by default stubborn within Nigeria. |
