I Formatted my phone once because of virus, i know why i installed the AVAST. Before i used to think that way too, u dont need antivirus app....

You don't need to apply any more, just download the unlock tool and attempt to unlock the phone. BTW, you use antivirus apps?

Is it a temporary image retention or permanent burn? If it's the former, a software can still help you out - I'm having the same issue on my Redmi Note 5,but if its the latter, those screen burn correcting apps out there will only damage it further

i can't really tell whether it is temporary or permanent burn. the red area i circled, a kind of yellow stuff there like my battery icon

i know i have tried unlocking my RN 4 before and it was unsuccessful. no msg came in. which other easy way can i unlock it, because i want to root the phone

No major difference except for the screen aspect ratio. Why not get the Redmi note 5? Better camera quality and processor (SD636)

don't stress yourself about ordering of tempered glass. i went to GSM village, ABUJA on TUESDAY, During the public holiday and got 2 tempered glasses for my RN 4 (#600 naira). i have the magic fluid, applied it, my phone of almost 1 year look brand new now

am thinking of getting this phone: Redmi 5 plus: 4/64g 60k(global version)....

what is the major difference in comparison to RN 4?

Last time I tried, which was quite a while ago their data finishes as soon as you start using it....have they improved?

i don't think they have improve o. their data deplete so fast. i could remember when i was using smile, connected to my system, without background update on my laptop and without browsing my data keep depleting. I remember those days that we used smile with Casts software for almost 1yr for unlimited browsing/ download.

When I say rom, I am actually referring to the stable ROM. Expect bugs when you are running beta rom which is obviously what you are on.

OK O. I will still hang on to beta rom, i prefer their weekly update to stable Rom or- stand still Rom for 1 year without update

What device and what rom are you using?

Solution 1 – Update Google Play Services to the latest version. You may be getting an error because you have an outdated version or the one you have is having a conflict/bug with the current rom on your phone.

Solution 2 – Clear the Google Play Services cache. Steps :
Go to Settings > installed Apps.
Search for "Google Play Services” app.
Open the app details and tap on the “Force stop” button.
Then, tap on the “Clear data” button.

Solution 3 – no need to say this but restarting your phone might make the issue go away.

Solution 4 – update to the latest rom of your device. Where all else fails to resolve the issue, this may be the only solution.

am using REDMI NOTE 4 . ROM MIUI 10 8.8.2

Solution 3 is ruled out- i have restarted several times before now, but problem still persist. The ROM is the LATEST. I have cleared DATA. i will keep u posted. Thanks for all the solutions proffered.
