The privacy of a citizen is one of the fundamental human rights entrenched in the Nigeria Constitution. Section 37 of the 1999 constitution as Amended provides that : "The Privacy of citizens, their homes, correspondence, telephone conversions and telegraphic communications is hereby guaranteed and protected" Hence, no police officer has the right to seize your phone and start scrolling. But in reality that is what happen for some officers that are either illiterate/ignorance of the Law or who chose to act if they are above the Law.

The law restricting tinted glass in vehicles was a military decree self-contained not as part of the road traffic laws.
I particularly think it is a useless law and should just be repealed.

Even if there is such a military decree (which i doubt) we are not in military era which the constitution is usually suspended. so, no need to repeal any law (If there is any)

Finally I did conversion of my Camry 2010 at Nipco filing station IN Abuja today. I spent total of 875,000. For (75kg cylinder) after conversion it was filled up for me 16.1scm

not same. But 2005 seems to have more fuel economy. likewise Honda civic 2007

I have used Toyota corolla twice. And I have camry 2010 presently (Venza Engine) . It depends what u want. In terms of fuel economy, corolla. In terms of movement, prestige camry. And camry is so spacious...

My issues are check engine like, cruise control like permanently on—fuel consumption, oil leaks and back hub issues.

I have changed Kazeem twice.

The last one tried but was way too dishonest. I need someone that knows what he is doing.

I still spend 15-20k daily on fuel from Ikorodu to Marina and back. It's too much sir.

It consumes fuel for the following reasons.

Worn and expired plugs. (Changed)
Dying coils with wires (Changed )
Exhaust leak (Will check)
High response to gas pedal and sudden braking (Guilty)
Use of AC on short trips (guilty)
Weak fuel pump (changed)
Dirty oil and carbon-filled injectors (serviced)
Dirty or weak maf sensor (changed)
Vacuum leaks from hoses (changed the hoses)
Last but not least, uneven tyres balance, and weak brake pads. (Maybe guilty, since the back hubs are making noise and I often use my hand brake to silence the noise, which causes drags) c


Could all these be the reason I am burning 15-20k fuel daily?

Please help. Also, How do I get the original oil seal? I have changed it twice, The oil still leaks till it gets to the lower gauge. Also, when I start the car in the morning, it makes a funny sound but it stops after a few seconds or a minute. When I start it in the morning. makes kokkokkokokoko for a few seconds or minutes and then stops.

Should I BE WORRIED?

I done spend over 500k in repairs. I don tire self.

But there is an improvement in performance. But I just want to fix every minor fault to avoid spending major money again for repairs.

My Honda civic 2007 is using Electric power steering too. gets stiff often recently, when u switch off the car shakes the steering, it becomes free. I want to check it out..

The are times the steering wheel of my Accord 2013 gets difficult to turn.

The solution would then be to turn off the ignition and restart.

What's weird is scanning the car doesn't reveal the cause of the issue.

Has anyone else experienced similar?

I have experienced same with my 2007 honda civic. The first guy I met clean the abs sensor. And later also clean a wire socket inside the engine The guy seems not to know what he was doing. Lol. Wasted my time. Two days later difficult to turn. Immediately I off ignition and on it back shaking the steering it becomes free. I went to same guy place twice. No solution. After a week i experienced same issue. Later, An electrician in Apo mechanic village, Abuja directed me to another guy place using powerful scanner (like Scotty Kilmer) and he scan the the car and deleted the code he saw & Reset something sha. and it has been a month now, I haven't experienced difficulties in turning. Although he told me i won't experience it again, that if I do, the steering rack inside is bad

Good morning beautiful people. Please I need help about installing twrp recovery on my redmi note 10. I followed every step in installing custom ROM on the phone but I'm stuck at the twrp phase.

Once the app on pc reboots it to recovery mode, I don't see any twrp apart from the miui recovery.

I share your sentiments. After what happened today, I told myself na direct toks next time by God's grace. The truth is that by the time you finish fixing the Naija used, you would have spent almost the same amount for toks.

VERY CORRECT. I had experience with a hyundai accent car. the money i spent fixing and buy parts, was like 700k, and AC of the car wasn't working. i end up selling the car

I suspect your brainbox/ECU was previously changed and not coded with the new vin of this current chassis you have.

Maybe, just use another scanner to verify as cryo said.

The Honda Civic is a Hybrid car, it was converted to only gas. i could see some hybrid orange cable left in the engine compartment....see this information about double batteries in the car

If this is the case, then I guess your OBD scanner is showing wrong details.

Try scan with another OBD scanner and see if it brings out the same VIN.

This your VIN case is somehow..

Firstly, check the vehicle badge at the driver side door or the based of the driver side windshield, check the VIN that you have there if it corresponds with what you have on your car papers.

Let's take it up from there first.

Vehicle licenses registration these days are something else, the way people cut corners and put unsuspecting car owners into trouble is very alarming.

As for the code you have in the scanner, kindly check your engine coolant temperature sensor to ascertain its still in good working condition.

the vehicle badge at the driver side, based of the driver side windshield and inside the engine (shift a plastic rubber and u will see the VIN engraved on the body of the car) corresponds with my papers. just the OBD scanner that is displaying another VIN for me

reading this thread in October, 2024 because i just bought Honda civic 2007

Guys, I have finally joined the Honda club. I purchased my first Honda civic 2007 car last week. But I have an observation. The VIN number, even on the custom papers displays that the car is hybrid. (made in Japan). imported to Naija- Tincan Island. But I used my small obd tool scanner today, to scan the car and I discovered that the VIN number is different from what is in the papers. when i checked the VIN online, it displays honda civic 2009. Why the discrepancy? Also I got one error code that displays thrice. Fuel economy not impressive to me. But let me fix the error code and observe the mpg

Used the car for 3yrs, the fuel consumption is very impressive, until i sold the car this year and bought Toyota Camry 2010 with venza engine 2.5L. boom i saw the difference 35k fuel my tank is not even full. (I asked myself, who send me )

infact the Honda civic is so fuel efficient that I bought a full tank exactly a week ago and have been very busy and the fuel is just slightly less than half, bro believe no car beats the civic

Toyota Yaris even Hyundai Accent with 1.6L beats it by far

You might run into issues with the Police if the car you bought was stolen or has some kind of stories behind it due to the tampered VIN.
I've read cases where Police used scanner to compare VIN on the body and the ECU.
You might need to do an affidavit to drive the car with peace of mind.
The Accent should be compared with a Yaris and not Corolla.

Naija Police with Scanner? I haven't seen one in my life even in Abuja. Although, i have seen VIO check your plate number to confirmed if u have renew your papers. Moreover, the sticker on the driver Side has the same VIN with that on the papers. Like someone said, "Previous owner replaced ECU and didn't overwrite the VIN of the new ECU with that of the car" just that i had an experience yesterday, after an electrician work on the car, trying to fix my reverse light/camera the car doesn't accelerate when u press down the pedal(the car moves slowly in DRIVE and doesnt accelerate at all). when scanned i got an error of P2128, P0121,P0122,P0222,P2122,12127. Throttle position(TP) Sensor B/ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SWITCH A - LOW INPUT..... SENSOR B CIRCUIT LOW INPUT. Am yet to fix it as at the time of posting this

I Just purchased Naija Used Hyundai Accent 2013. But on inserting my scanner the VIN number it displays is different with the label VIN pasted on the car body. My mechanic told me the Catalyst is intact, shock absorber, break disk and some other stuffs are follow come... but the car suffered severe abused from its previous owner. No maintenance at all. Trying to fix the car . The fuel economy of the car is far better than Toyota Corolla, am really impressed
