Since I got this my RN4 I have been trying to drain the battery completely all to no avail. I used it till when it gets to 18%. I decided to plug it on power . The battery draining is not very fast, playing music, screen brightness almost 100%, and am browsing still the battery is smiling for almost 2days. GUESS my battery has improved grin

Pls sb should suggest a way to quickly and completely drain my battery to 0.

Very true. I've known him for tweaking stuff since 2007. Remember one Nokia N72 wey him use that time, he disturb the phone gan (how time flies).

U still remember my N72. That phone suffer for my hand ehn.from then I got N95. See tweaking. I hardly have time for such now.

Hahaha. I have learnt my lesson not to brick my phone again. I recollect when I bought Gionee M5 brand new then on Saturday, by Sunday flashing the Rom I bricked the phone and I couldn't resuscitate it. Took it back to where I bought the phone, and their engineer flashed it for me.

So, I never brick my RN4. Am reading post on a low key looking for who to Ban expecially those who post advert anyhow grin

I Need Help concerning these:

1. When any of my finger mistakenly touch the sensor it vibrates. I don't like the vibration. I want to remove it, how will i do that?

2. I notice that pictures can't rotate in the gallery, no matter what.

3. I noticed that whenever i restart my phone, i have to input my unlock code, otherwise fingerprint won't just work.

Use *#*#4636#*#* to lock it to 3G or 4G. But you won't be able to receive calls or sms if you lock it to 4G

i restarted the phone, it seems to have stopped. let me be observing........

LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS that was the network mode. I changed to LTE/WCDMA

Why is my phone showing the loading icon? Is it because of the theme or it is getting slack?
I put the phone on only 3G/4G mode but funny enough I see Edge at times.

So I was about ordering my note 4x and thought to check this thread one more time and saw a comment about note 4 been more expensive and having more LTE and that made me hold back from ordering the note 4x. So I want a sincere advice on whether to go with the note 4 or the note 4x. Which would serve me better now and in future as I don't know much of tech. Dear, it depends on ur budget. Note 4 is more expensive than Note 4x. Am using Note 4

Maybe it has something to do with your current version of rom, if you can't wait for Global update to miui 9, then consider unlocking your bootloader

I will wait then.i was on the journey of unlocking my bootloader this morning. But I didn't receive their so called txt msg code, hence I just cancelled the procedure

Good morning. Don't extract the files and be sure the network is good for smooth verification. If it still couldn't verify, it must be an error while downloading. I once had similar experience which I believe was due to interruptions while downloading (I eventually used Opera Mini).
I upgraded to MIUI9 Dev from miui8 8.5.8 stable ROM without unlocking bootloader/rooting.

Morning. i used phone initially to download, i later use pc to download and renamed the file as instructed. am still having same error shocked

No! You're already on Nougat, just download the recovery ROM and install via updater.
Once downloaded, move it to a new folder at the storage root and name the folder "downloaded_rom". Go to updater, collapse the drop down button and select "choose update package" go to the "downloaded_rom" and select the file. You'll need a WiFi to verify the package else, make your updater have access to your data for connectivity.

am mine to extract the files from zip folder after the rename? am getting error of it can't verify update. u are allow to flash the newest develop version by MIUI forum from stable version only
