I agree that Biafra should not be the way forward, but I also advise that everyone's request be listened to and treated with respect.

No "father to son" discussion, but rather an equal stakeholders discussion with everyone willing to compromise and reach a firm inclusive solution.

The government by default has shown that they only listen to people who cause chaos and mayhem, that might be the drive behind such a drastic but poorly thought out decision.

Biafra might have been defeated in the past and yes will probably be defeated again, but at what cost? Bear in mind the western world has much to gain from any form of instability in Nigeria so the aftermath might be different.

I find any form of deceit, manipulation or mind games very upsetting. It’s one of those things I consider tantamount to murder. Why? when you play with people’s thinking you screw up their life path to a certain degree, secondly you erode their capacity to trust their basic instincts/reasoning and finally you cripple them emotionally making them dependent on an external source for confidence. The situation becomes worse when such manipulative practice are carried out in the name of religion.

According to WHO, health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (1946). Not having a physical ailment but disguising or living ignorantly with a social or mental ailment does not make you healthy but this is often the case in Nigeria. By doing this we ignore the amazing potential that lies within our minds, which we willingly hand over to others unconsciously.

They said it when I was in nursery, repeated it when I was in primary school, chanted it when I was in secondary school and I grew deaf to it by the time I was in uni …… Children are the leaders of tomorrow; its either time ceased to move or the children refused to grow. Either way someone was lying and it definitely wasn't the person listening.
