Lilly001: ASUU dey fight ontop one MOU...which gat 9demands...D Govt don implement 2 last year..
They had a meeting on Monday...FG promised dat dem gonna implement 3 out of d remaining 7 if ASUU calls off d strike..But ASUU wants full implementation of the remaining 7 b4 they call off d strike..
Out of oda 7, Just 1 will benefit d Lecturers..The Other 6 are for d benefit of all Fed and State Unis..
So dats y evri1 dey support d strike even Students..
There is gonna be anoda FG ASUU Senate meeting on Monday 22nd July, 2013..Let's pray for d best

prince CEE: Of a real truth, dia is huge amount of money in Nigeria's pulse, how do u fink dat it is fair to be paying the so called ministers and senators premiumly than the lecturers. Its not fair at all.
As for me, what I fink is dat once dia is salary increament for the lecturers, d prejudice Dat's existing between the lecturers and students will just be a foregone story in d history of Nigeria's educational system.
Please federal government should act immediately to stop this incessant strike that has evaded our educational system with a cataclysmic effect.

The same Government that Iweala said was broke debated in the parliament life pension for political officers.

I tell you, Nigeria runs the most expensive Government in the world, with 70% of it's annual budget on Government's expenditure.

We have 10 presidential jets in the villa, what for?

I hope you got my point, too. We all know the agreement was signed for political reasons (Jonathan wanted to become the Commander in Chief, then), and not because the Government was ready to implement it. I want you to ponder on that for a while

Mesopotamia: Taking a critical view at the way things are,i can't but help to come up with the follw Q
1.who z ASUU fighting 4,herself or d students?
2.what are their demands?
3.are their demands reasonable?
4.must they resolve their grieviances by using down tool mechanism?
5.why should a group less than 100,000 hold the whole educational system of a country to ransom?
6.what z d fed/state govt doing to make em resume work?
*These & many more numerous questions are what i find disturbing but i seem nt to find answers.

As always, good things are never targeted at the masses in this part of the world we found ourselves.
