No fewer than eight operators of illegal universities across the country, which have been closed, are being prosecuted, the National Universities Commission (NUC) says. The illegal universities were published in NUC’s weekly bulletin and made available on Wednesday in Abuja. The publication, signed by NUC’s Executive Secretary, Prof. Julius Okojie, listed the institutions as National University of Nigeria, Keffi, Nasarawa State and North Central University, Otukpo, Benue State. Others are Christ Alive Christian Seminary and University, Enugu; Richmond Open University, Arochukwu; Abia State; West Coast University, Umuahia; and Saint Clements University, Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State. The list also includes Volta University College, Aba, Abia State as well as the illegal satellite campuses of Ambrose Alli University. “In addition to the closure, the following `Degree Mills’ are currently undergoing court actions; the purpose of these actions is to prosecute the proprietors and recover illegal fees and charges on subscribers. “For the avoidance of doubt, anybody who patronises or obtains any certificate from any of these illegal institutions does so at his or her own risk. “Certificates obtained from these sources will not be recognised for the purposes of NYSC, employment and further studies.’’ The bulletin also listed 55 illegal universities which had not been licenced and were closed down for violating the Education Act of 2004. NAN recalls that NUC recently handed over two alleged fake professors to the police for prosecution. Fulaman198: Ok excellent, let's do soboss, let the lecture continue. |
Fulaman198: Op, we still have not heard back from youThanks boss, i just bought it today. So, lets continue our lecture. |
Fulaman198: Ok please keep me informedok sir |
Fulaman198: Do you have an ISP? No DSL modem, no CSU/DSU? None of those things to get to the internet? Is this just a home network to transfer files to and fro other computers.i wil get it by d end of dis month |
Fulaman198: You would want to go ahead and setup your wireless router first. Can you please kindly tell me what other equipment besides the computers and possible printer that you have.there is no other equipment |
Fulaman198: LOL absolutely not, I just said it would have been easier for your network planning. All you need to do is ask a lot of questions until you get the gists of what you need to do in order to successfully establish your first home network. Once you learn it, you will feel accomplished and enjoy it.assuming all d equipment is ready nw, wats d first step to take? |
Fulaman198: It is a design diagram that network engineers use for network planningok. do i need to knw dat in my lesson? |
Fulaman198: Ok, so here is how it works,Which one is network topologies? |
Fulaman198: Ok I think I understand what you are trying to do, you are trying to set up a home network correct? Is it going to be wired or wireless? Is it going to have a printer? Are you going to attempt to access the internet with this network? I need to know more in order to help you,.sir, u are right. I will prefer d wireless. d printer wil be added and d network wil be access. |
Fulaman198: Ok how many computers in the network?four |
Fulaman198: What operating system? Do you mean IP address assignment?window 7 |
Skywalker5: use an ethernet cable to connect both PC and make sure their IP address is on the same networkpls, hw do i get d IP address of both computers? |
Fulaman198: Your question though is a bit vague, you want to know how to network? You want to know how to setup a computer network? You want to know how to connect two computers? I'm confused by your question.i think is because i dnt knw anything abt networking stuff, dnt mind me i thought is d same. Let me start frm "how to connect two computers". Thanks i really appreciate ur response |
