Politics / Re: When Did Nigeria Legalised Capital Punishment Upon Looters ? by Horus(m): 9:54pm On Aug 04
GanagiBitrus:
Police have no legal right to shoot at looters or thieves. That's extrajudicial killing.

They can only shoot if their lives or lives of other citizens are being thereatend, like if the looter is armed with a gun or other deadly weapon.

This show that there are two different types of justices.
1- If you loot a shop the police give you immediate Capital Punishment
2- If you loot public funds as a politician, don't worry you will be worshipped everywhere

It's quite ironic how some foreign media are quick to criticize our leaders without understanding the complexities of our situation. These critics seem to forget that every nation faces its own challenges. Instead of throwing stones from afar, they should focus on their own issues.

They are journalists and have the right to report on what ever they want

Here? The police have been wrong in all instances. Only yesterday, one of the police commanders in Abuja attempted to deny on TV that his men had been firing Tear Gas, and, in some instances, live ammunition at protesters, even with numerous video proofs watched both by Nigerians and the international audience. In almost every one of the videos, not a single piece of evidence that the crowds taunted or provoked such backlash from the police. undecided

I agree with you. We should also share these videos as much as we can to show the barbarism of the police

This writer is part of the problems of Nigeria. Why didn't he also test the sulphur content of the diesel imported by NNPC, so that he can give us a balanced report. Saying it openly is not in the best interest of Nigerian economy. As regulators, the NNPC should have find a way to assist Dangote solve the sulphur problem. NNPC is a regulator and a competitor at the same time.

The problem is that the NNPC have been infiltrated and hijacked by the "Oil Mafia". Now this very dangerous "Oil Mafia" have the
means to bribe some journalists to write any kind of defamatory articles

Politics / Re: Documents Show Dangote Deceived Lawmakers, Diesel Quality Worse Than Presented by Horus(m): 1:17pm On Aug 04
There is a plot against Dangote. They are fighting him because he is fighting to liberate his people, and if Nigeria refined
its own oil we all know Nigerian people will be a step ahead. The West don't want that. The Nigerian politicians who are
accomplices with the "Oil Mafia" should be ashamed of themselves.

Most of them are too stupid to understand that the protest is for the welfare of their families and themselves too.

I saw a video of two useless policemen assaulting a disabled man on his wheelchair who went out to protest,if you see the way they where dragging this man from his wheelchair ehnn,I was shocked and embarrassed for the police officers because they were trying so hard to yank the man off his chair but he held on to it tight. It was a sad thing to watch and reminded me that the Nigerian police are not it at all.

This is a case of gross misconduct. I hope that the two policemen will be identified with the video.
They should be dismissed from the police force without notice
