@Moda1, it is obvious you had made a gravy mistake of your life for not using an escrow in your first time of dealing with a fellow Nairalander neither did you conduct any background research regarding the person you were about to transact with to know who he is. You have been on this platform for over five years and you are expected to know the characters of the people here to some extent.

You quoted Zecwale in asking for a transaction which gives him the authority to message you via your DM for Alibaba checkout and your reply to him was that you will revert to him when you get the link of the item available, but you never get back to him again likewise he didn't border to get in touch with you again. On the other hand, your transaction with your scammer was a PayPal transaction which was apparently different from the intended transaction you were to have with Zecwale and more so, the scammer's details also different from that of Zecwale. This spells out to all and sundry of matured mind that you got scammed by one of those scammers here always hunting for prey.

I pray you get your money when you obtain a court order and subsequently submit it to the scammer's bank. However, it is always difficult to retrieve you funds back as the transaction took place online and the true address of the notorious scammer is unknown. The account he used was generated online with someone else details. You can detect this fact from the above screenshot shared by Odimbannamdi as this same scammer used a different account details to scam some people previously.

Today's case is too intentional if not, why did he changed the address he used to receive the money?

I have been having series of issues with Zelle and decided to deal with direct account owner to avoid issues.
On Thursday I chatted Braindee for tag cause he told me he bought a bank account that is Zelle enabled(he said it's a business account) he got it for 300k, so I felt save to deal with him.
I collected the tag and Braindee gave me rate and said minimum I can send is $500.
I sent him fund on Thursday night at around a few minutes after 10pm.
He didn't confirm receiving on Friday he said the fund was pending(meanwhile Zelle drops in seconds).
I asked for proof so I can send to the sender who is already pestering me, he said no proof.
Not until after 6days which was yesterday he sent screenshot and the screenshot which I uploaded above said there is no account with such credentials.
We called bank and bank said account was still intact, I told him he said there is no way bank will devulge another person's account status to me.
Fund owner tried sending money to his account which he claimed isn't accessible and it happened that he changed the email(I dropped screenshot).
Now all Braindee a supposed escrow is telling me is that I should chargeback.
How many people have successfully charged back Zelle here before?
From the look of things and transaction history he sent today after 1 week, when I sent him that money he was able to withdraw $2500.
I sent him $1804.

So he made an account I sent fund he withdraw and told me to chargeback.
I don't know what else to do with him, he isn't accepting to pay for this fund.
So he apparently changed the account email to cover his tracks.
I would advice everyone to be careful while dealing with him.
I would want every Nairaland who can talk to who to please ask him to pay him.
I didn't do wrong to trust him.
At the rate he gave me $1804 is over #1.1million naira, so all he wants is to put me in dept for his selfish reasons.

That is why you should use escrow.
