Position : FARM MANAGER

QUALIFICATION: BACHELOR DEGREE IN AGRICULTURAL RELATED COURSE,
ANY OTHER MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION WILL BE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE

WORK EXPERIENCE: MINIMUM 2-3 YEARS IN A RELATIVELY BIG FARM

Function of the Role
The Farm Manager is responsible for the success of all farming activities, from planting to cultivating and harvesting of farm products and rearing of farm animals.

Among other responsibilities of a farm manager, these are vital for being considered for the job:

1. Ability to make long term decision based on present observations or realities.

2. Ability to get the workers to deliver exactly to specifications.

3. Ability to draw plans, timely execution and to improvise when occasions demand.

4. Ability to keenly inspect the farm and raise alarm over possible threats to the profitability of the farm.

5. Ability to look inward for revenue generation on the farm.

6. Ability to be in know of everything happening around and to stay in control at all times.

7. Ability to build relationship with every personnel in order to get the job done on time.

8. Ability to gain loyalty from every personnel.

9. Ability to work with figures and making inferences based on facts.

10. Ability to raise other people into responsibility.
