nairalanda1:

MTN would never ASK anyone to contribute to fix the mast because all of its customers ARE PAYING FOR THE SERVICE RENDERED.

SO, they have the money to fix things.

The power companies cannot do that BECAUSE..most people don't pay, and those who pay, pay a tarrif that is not cost reflective.

See the problem?

Or maybe not.

Yes I see the problem, MTN is responsive enough to ensure that those who don't pay for the service would not get it. Something PHCN hasn't done. Make meter accessible to the people and make power available then I don't see any reason why anyone wouldn't pay for it. PHCN services which is electricity is as important as MTN service so even if na 1k if you need light you go buy am... The template is achievable let them just do the proper thing and cover loop holes and stop making excuses

And where is PHCN going to get the money to pay for transformer when most people are bypassing?

If you were running a business and 60% of your customers were not paying at all, will you still run the business? BY what magic?
See let me make example with MTN for instance, how dose it make sense that you are unable to browse or make call because their mast near you has a problem only for MTN to ask everybody to contribute to fix the mast. is that how a proper business should run? this is exactly what PHCN is doing. There are people who use MTN browsing cheat, various codes to bypass the system but MTN don't charge people to fix their facilities because it is their responsibility to wield out those who bypass the system and not throw everybody in darkness for their inability.

PHCN or TCN are responsible if truly people bypass meters, I know someone who has a meter that doesn't pick low current, he has complained severally to PHCN but they say that's how the meter is. can you imagine that for over a year now their area has been having low current every other people would have light but he will not have in his apartment because of the meter... this is someone that ordinarily buying card on the meter would never be a problem. So rose this oga in TCN expect such a person to remain in darkness when he can bypass the meter to restore light directly to his apartment...

Personally now in my area we have not had light for over 2 months reason because they said something got bad in the transformer, this is a transformer we levied ourselves to buy just about 2 years ago, each house in my area paid about 100k for this purpose, now something has gotten bad in the transformer BEDC say we have to contribute again to replace what got spoilt, and they come every month to collect light bill o, my question now is what do they use our light bill for if we have to provide Transformer for ourselves and still pay for it's repair... Does this Oga expect that if people in this area can bypass they will not? ... When PHCN is up and doing the people also will a act right

A fulfilled life doesn't mean you gained everything you wanted.

It means you tried everything your mind deliberated on. You tried. You failed. Or you succeeded.

A life of trial and error may not bring success, however, you won't remain the same way you started. It ends with a lesson you can leverage on.

Many people don't like to try because it takes effort. It takes confidence to bear the shame of failure.

They rather protect their ego and die in penury than step out of it and see how things will work out for their good.

When you have no regrets in life, you die a fulfilled man.
For someone who ventured into something and failed how would you say such a person doesn't have regrets and died fulfilled. In fact what does failure and fulfilment have in common

The current debt profile in Edo state is over 250 billion, what structure does the government have in place to pay up these loans if not to mortgage the future of the citizens and the ones unborn. I do not support illegal migration but the Government both at the Federal and state has not done enough to discourage people from going these routes..

As at that time a single room self contain at Democracy estate was already going for between 100k-120k... I was lucky to get the one I was staying then at God's own hostel for 80k.. Over all sha ebonyi state is cheap to live in, I stayed back for another year after NYSC before I left because there isn't much opportunities for young graduate.

Let me drop this one here.
I was an N-Power Teacher collecting 30k in FCT before our tenure expired in June 2020 during the Covid 19. Some of us were asked to stay back as a PTA teacher since there was no teacher to teach our subjects at that moment with a monthly take home of 20k. Guess what, it was only one person that accepted the offer because we feel it's like we are going backwards instead of forward.
I stayed at home for more than 6 months looking for good job but none seems forth coming. Bills begin to pill up, I moved out of self-Com to one room. Food and other things become a problem because I was using the 15k home lesson as the only means of survival. I tried private school but it didn't work out because they will used you like tomorrow no dey πŸ˜‚ with their peanut called salary and you will not have time to do other things. Early 2022, the place I teach as N-Power ask me to come back as PTA teacher, I told them that it will be on part time basis since they really need me even though I needed the money πŸ˜‚ and they agreed.
At the middle of 2022, one of my friends ask me to come and work as a Monitor with WHO. So anytime there is a program(4 days or 2days as the case maybe), we will be called to monitor it at LG level and our pay is 11k until November 2022 before they increase it to 21k. Mind you, the program is not every month(let say 6-8months in a year). If it's election time, I will either work with INEC or a party Agent. I have one of my guy that works with a Cyber Cafe before, he always refer some of his customers to me during some registration like civil defence, fire service, army e.t.c I'm doing all these make hunger no finish me πŸ˜‚
My school is 7mins from my house so no TP. Home Lesson sometimes I use my legs πŸ˜‚ so I spend roughly 3k for TP. So what I earned in a month is like 30k. Monitoring work and other ones are just like bonus to me.
As you can see, if I see the 70k na to pop champagne be that na πŸ˜‚
I can't and will never think of suicide because who knows tomorrow? Some people have to beg TP when they are going for interview. If you see what others are passing through, you will be rolling on the floor in thanksgiving.
I have not been to hospital for more than 5yrs now even though na 0-1-1 or something 0-0-1.
Glory be to Almighty God for everything he has done and with believe he will give me my dream job before the end of this year Amen.

Please can you help me with that WHO job, I don't mind even if it's just volunteering

People had advised you repeatedly not to pay before APL. Pay after capturing, they keep warning you to pay after capturing, you keep deff ear. Your stubbornness has landed you in trouble. You come crying. Abeg shift..

First I doubt you are female, but that's just by the way. Don't pay for APl is why some of us still haven't been able to come by with any Job. The hard truth is 99% of the people who have these slots and can help you with Job will not accept to go ahead without any payment, all the people I have come across here have always requested for money so if you know anyone who can proceed without payment first then abeg let me know. I would show proof that the person's payment is not in doubt when the time comes. So because of these reason some persons take the risk and make payment for few it was risk worth taking as it ended with both parties happy while for many it was a case of story story 😭, so I kinda understand why some persons still fall for it. it is a no risk no reward system.

But what I have rather found really surprising in all your comments here concerning this issue is how you have systematically bashed the victim and not even a word to condemn the perpetuator, you have spoken like he has called you to tell you something we don't know ..Na wa o

Abeg I still dey open if anyone has a genuine slot hit me up let's have a deal

30k that's not even enough to take someone for 2 weeks is what they are taking so much time to pay, if it was millions for senators or Ministers they would have paid it long ago... and these suffering masses are the same people they claim to be representing..
