Politics › Re: Tha Uncommon Thieves Of Niger Delta by HtwoOw: 2:07am On Oct 09, 2015
money stolen by Obasanjo alone is not the point here, the OP is saying Nigeria has always paid it's dues to Niger Delta, but the same hard core sons and daughters of the soil are the ones who are not doing right by people of Niger Delta

I think he means to stop blaming Nigeria for your woes, blame your leaders

Okanokan:
Like Nigeria they planned to fail. Nigeria can't balance its budget also, so its not strange because that is one factor that trails a FAILED NATION.
We are in a recession already, if we like lets be deceiving ourself. Mr Buhari economic policies are not encouraging.
Failed nation ?? What are you doing to contribute to it's greatness?

On this whole front page, you are the only guy who asked the right question

Which airline is it,

Next

Plan a boycott

The next part (is Especially those of them who are blaming APC and Change)

Actualize that boycott by so doing, the airline is either forced out of business or is forced to upgrade to another jet

By so doing, we have made change,

The Federal government can not do everything, we need to start doing stuffs too

NaLaugh:
cheesy

What airline is that? I hope they offer rain coats.

Or perhaps, they are just the most equipped airline in Nigeria, with a free shower section.

Ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae

The recent abduction of one of the foremost Yoruba leaders and ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, by suspected Fulani herdsmen took a turn for the worse on Thursday as prominent leaders threatened secession from the entity called Nigeria.

Their grouse ranges from the abduction of Falae and the wanton destruction of his farmland to the need for a serious restructuring of Nigeria to reflect true federalism.

“If we do not see any step in this direction within a reasonable time, the Yoruba may reconsider their place in a union that cannot protect them and would not allow them to protect themselves and use all legitimate and peaceful means to attain self-determination,” part of the communiqué issued at the end of the meetings said.

Personally went through more than 7 pages of this posts to read the comments and it is clear, Olu Falae does not speak for all yoruba ,

I saw many Ibos and Biafrans commenting to insult the Yoruba race and the Yoruba leaders, accusing Yorubas hypocrites for wanting to secede from Nigeria after an attack on Falae whereas the Yorubas percieved as the enemy of Ibo's secession were being condemned for wanting Biafra

I also saw Yorubas making it clear that they are not in support stating that those who called themselves the leaders are mainly expired political attention / payment seeking people whose self agenda is the reason for the threat , Bottomline , Majority of Yorubas do not support

Ibos have the right to secede , (even if i believe Biafra is a dream built on fraud , greed and self agenda) , However i think the difference here is clear

Ojukwu had personal issues , with FG , according to Wikipedia , Nigeria was in peace until Ibos lead a failed coup , First point is ibo caused trouble for Nigeria ( An Ibo man was the president assigned by the British , his tenure hadn't expired for more than 6 months when a Hausa was put in charge of the country ) Much like the hate they harbor for Buhari's victory at the polls, they revolted killed hausas , and Yorubas

Hausas got angry and lead a counter coup which was successful , This is where Ojuwku came in , The then Government tried to negotiate peace resolve issues , but it just wasn't enough for Ojukwu, he returned to Nigeria , returned to the east and then declared a sovereign state of Biafra .

Comparing that to the Falae Saga , it is well documented Fulanis have always been a problem , even before the kidnap of Falae and nobody has done anything about it , Falae was maltreated and as an elder he deserves some answers and even compensation as long as the identity and tribe of the culprits have been ascertained ,However Falae can not demand or control Yorubas or even cajole them to join his personal vendetta , the very first question that comes to the Yoruba mind is, If it wasn't Falae , would we have heard anything about it ?

What i am getting at is that Yorubas have leaders who can command for anything and all Yorubas would obey , However each Yoruba mind works independently , We do not follow the last command, we question that command ,if it is Justifiable, we obey, If not it's just another baby whining , and that is why Falae Saga can not bring about Oduduwa Republic

only monthly charges would be fixed in this case

power consumption is not the same , so use electric meter , electronic rechargeable card , and ensure constant power supply this will ensure that those who use less power won't feel cheated

Any High profile Politician's arrest / conviction is a can of worms , They will continue to squeal on each other

Nigeria's corruption is like a chain, linked from the very top to the bottom, sometimes it can get confusing, but trust me when i say this , Buhari's plan is working, they will continue to link others and others and other until several of them are publicly disgraced and our country's loots returned

A high profile politician's arrest is the best thing that's ever happened to Nigeria under Buhari so far

mysteriousman:
Ok
Did you notice that the cries '' we will blow up nigeria if you do not release Denzani has reduced ? Yes, that's the Buhari effect, Automatic SHUT UP grin grin grin

socialmediaman:
When Buhari said prosecution "would soon start" for people who tried to destroy our oil rich economy through the oil sector, wailers kept calling him Government of "I will, I shall"... Has it not happened?

Apology accepted undecided

Honestly naija has a long way to go.......In other countries such don't happen, for example in USA whatever level you are in politics no one knows when they pass.
It rarely happens in other countries for the following reason

They have better roads = wider roads, more traffic rules and lights , service men

They are well organized, when a vip is visiting certain places , possible routes are cordoned off with barricades and even if the crowds come , they don't go beyond that

They practise a politics of serving, being a politician doesn't make you special, Prime Minister , UK most always rides the subway and no paparazi

these out of more should convince and not confuse you that you can't compare mentality , road and orientation with Nigerian's

but more importantly , Osinbanjo did the right thing by apologizing, i do not recall GEJ or PEJ apologizing for any of that , she especially caused more than 7 hour hold up with her hundreds of fellow widowers convoy on lagos roads

and almost caused several plane crashes as airport was locked down for her own plane convoy to depart , while other flights were asked to keep roaming the airport
