mosdii:It is obvious you didn't read what is up there. |
bukatyne:Of course I am worried. One of the reasons that got me confused if she has actually moved on. I am sure she is not looking for money. She is doing fine. Maybe she just wants to use it to hurt me. But I dont think I deserve this from her. |
DanielJones:Lounge45. She is one of the premium escorts. Thank you. |
Abilistic:Thank you. |
LadySarah:This is not necessary. You should be more concerned about the little ones you are raising or intend to raise. Will they be the type calling people names on social media without taking time to understand their story. If we look deep down you, I am sure you are sitting on worse things that can't even be shared here. |
Backcheck:You must have got it twisted somehow. |
uruba23:Thank you. I will try my best. |
daddytime:Thank you very much. This is very helpful. |
DanielJones:I saw the site on Nairaland here. It is lounge45. |
viyon02:Lesson learnt. Thank you. |
mosdii:Hmmmm. I still can't believe I have lost her just like that. Thank you. |
MajesticKris:It is a great leap for me considering where I am coming from. |
falcon01:It is not just about her beauty. I don't think I know the best way to explain this to you. My uncle must have experienced what I had with her. You could have done well by calling her names. |
Zzor:You think so? I doubt if it is coincidental. There are many things I couldn't say in my writing. 3 or 4 incidences showed to me that it was not just by accident. Anyways, thank you. |
omooluorun:Thank you. |
This is going to be a long piece. I have this thing running in my mind and I need you to help me with mature advice. I have been a dumb ass broke niggar since I left UNIBEN 7 years ago. All attempt to get a good and loyal girlfriend had been abortive owing to my joblessness. Even the few ladies I dated or the few that agreed to date me, na so so bad luck I dey jam everywhere. Disappointments here and there. At times I would cry and curse the day I was born. Three years ago, I was depressed and suicidal, thank God for my mum who caught me in the kitchen when I was about leaving the world by the way of Snipper. Everything was the same for me until August last year when I met this lady that changed my whole story. I met her on one of the escort/hookup sites that I saw here on Nairaland. She caught my attention and I decided to hook up with her with the little money I managed to save as Konji no gree make I sleep. So, I decided to offload somehow since I am not a fan of masturbation. I don’t believe in superstition or spiritual influence but my experience with this lady changed my belief. Now, I don’t even know what to believe anymore. The first day that I bleeped with this lady, one of my uncles in Australia who I have been begging for money to start a business for several years called me and told me he has decided to make me manage one of his businesses here in Nigeria. I was very surprised. Since that day, my life has not remained the same again. Now, I have 2 classy cars, I have made a great progress in my building project here in Lagos; by the grace of God, I will be moving into my new home before the end of December this year. I have been managing my uncle’s business so well and it is growing bigger by the day, he is well impressed. Glory be to God and thanks to my girl who had been by my side all this while, giving me advice. Mind you, she is also a UNILAG Economics graduate. Now here is my main concern. I proposed to the same girl last week and she gladly accepted my proposal. So, we intend to get married in December before moving into our new home. Unfortunately for me, my uncle saw my recent posts on Instagram and Facebook and called me to stop any arrangement to marry the lady. He said she is a cheap prostitute and that is all he would tell me about her and he is serious with it. I knew her background but I don’t know how to convince my uncle that she is now a changed girl. So, I had to confront my girl and ask her if she has ever had anything to do with him. I showed her his picture. At first, she denied ever meeting him but after much persuasion she opened up. She told me she met him as a client who called from the same escort site. She said he flew in from Australia last year, a week before Easter celebration and he hooked up with her for a day. After a day service, he requested that she should stay for the weekend and increase the pay. So, she complied. After the weekend, he gave her the offer of being his second wife. He promised to come and see her parents before going back to Australia blab bla bla…she later told him that she does not like the idea of being a second wife because she was raised from a polygamous family. So, he felt really bad. She said she stopped picking his calls and later blocked all means he could use to contact her. After telling me all these, she said she doesn’t want any problem with my family so she would consider it as her fate. She dropped the ring I gave her and asked me to move on because she would. I have been trying to reach her since Thursday but she kept rejecting my calls and not replying my messages. As at yesterday I tried checking the site I met her and saw that she has updated her profile there. Mind you, she had deleted her account when we started getting serious. This makes me feel so bad. I am confused. I can’t even think through anymore. Now that I know the reason why my uncle doesn’t want me to marry this lady and my uncle is coming to Nigeria in December to visit his family and entrust another business in my hand, but he is still insisting that I should never think of marrying my girl, what would you advise me to do? Please, I need your mature advice. It is not necessary that you respond if you don’t have anything reasonable to say. Thanks for your time. |

THERE ARE TOO MANY SCAMMERS ONLINE CLAIMING TO BE MULTICHOICE NIGERIA, BEWARE! I tried paying for my DSTV subscription online last weekend and I discovered that a particular channel was not open for me to view. I knew my subscription automatically gives me access to watch the channel but it just couldn't come up. So, I had to call Multichoice customer care agent to help out. While attending to something else, I asked my cousin to help look out for DSTV customer care contact details, so as usual he tried "Googling it" and he stumbled on these: (check the picture attached below) On dialing the first number, True Caller revealed the name as DSTV Scammer. The line rang severally but nobody answered the call. Then I tried the next one...this one does not have any information on True Caller but this scammer seems to be ready for business. He quickly answered the call and got my complaint, then he told me that I am not the first to call with same complaint. He said it is weekend so they are experiencing some challenges with their network. He later said that since I made payment on the same day, my money would be reversed to my account but for quick and automatic reset, I would be required to send the subscription fee to a certain account which he would forward to me shortly after the call drops. I am not a learner, for asking that I should send money to an account, I knew he is a clown...I literally laughed out loud and ended the call. It is not my first time of calling and speaking to an agent at Multichoice call center. It was just my first time of trying to reach them via another means. So, here is my advice for anyone trying to call Multichoice call center for issues relating to DSTV or GOTV subscription: 1. Instead of searching for DSTV/GOTV customer care number, search for DSTV/GOTV toll-free numbers. 2. Never pay into any private account from contacts online apart from the official payment platforms integrated on DSTV/GOTV official website. If you are not subscribing online, you can walk into the office of a certified agent around you and make payment. 3. Call any of these numbers to speak with an agent at Multichoice call centre: 9Mobile: 09090630333, Airtel: 07080630333, MTN: 08149860333 and GLO: 08113630333. Some words for Multichoice Nigeria 1. Apart from calls, Multichoice can make the process easier for both DSTV and GOTV subscribers by creating a platform where subscribers can activate their account or communicate with a customer care agent via chat which is cost effective and convenient for some subscribers. GTBank and some other banks have already broken boundaries using this medium. 2. Your short code (USSD) platform for activation of subscription is a very good option. But why monetize it? Why do I have to pay 30 naira for activation when I have already paid for subscription? There are some other companies doing this service free of charge or at least let us pay the normal 4 naira for SMS charges. 3. It is funny how Multichoice Nigeria gives us a platform that operates 24/7 (round the clock) without the capacity to provide a 24/7 customer care support. Why do I have to wait till certain time before I can speak with the customer care agent? 4. There is a need for Multichoice to start working on offline payment through USSD. Recently I read that there is a company already offering this solution for merchants...I heard that GNLD has been using their payment platform for some while now. It is as easy as paying for subscription and renting movies at Box Office with USSD (i.e. without the need of internet). You may have to look up https://www.ogaranya.com/ for further information. 5. Multichoice Nigeria can help to save existing and prospective clients from scammers by putting a disclaimer message on its website, adverts and publications. I am not a PHD holder or a professor...I am just a brand inspector. http://brandinspector..com.ng/2018/02/there-are-too-many-scammers-online.html

Ambode, please cleanliness should be one of our priorities in Lagos state. Biko! |
budiliscious:Big time! |
maclatunji:It is too bad. Terrible. He seems not bothered about it yet because the road to Alausa and his residence may not be littered. We need him to address this issue and do something meaningful before it leads to something else. Visionscape or whatever company that is handling this project can't obviously manage this project...even, the front of their office is home of refuse.
|
kurlarday:Fact! |
kurlarday:Correct! You can say that again! |
Take a look at the pictures below, this is the new Lagos for real, if care is not taken, our dream of making Lagos state a smart metropolitan city may soon become a fantasy. Almost everywhere is dirty; both mainland and Island, you don’t have to move too far before you start perceiving the stench of refuse pilled up at street corners, corridors, roadside and just anywhere. Where did we get it wrong? Sometime in July 2017, the Lagos state government restricted the 350 indigenous Incorporated Trustees Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria popularly called PSP (Private Sector Participation) operators in partnership with LAWMA from conducting their usual waste management business in Lagos, then the project handled by 350 operators was officially handed over to Visionscape Sanitation Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of Visionscape Group (a multinational company) and ABC Solutions Limited. What this simply means is that the Lagos state government bluntly shut down the business of 350 PSP operators (who had been operating in Lagos terrain since over fifteen years) then awarded the contract to some foreign investors who are just new to the complex waste management system in Lagos. For records, PSP operators have been in partnership with LAWMA since 1999 during the administration of the then Lagos state governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Also, during ex-governor Babatunde Raji Fashola’s tenure in Lagos, there was a need to continue with the existing system but with a well scrutinized and standard structure. Fashola made the system more competitive and effective by giving award to the most efficient PSP operators and screening the over one thousand indigenous operators that showed interest in the waste management business to 350 operators. Those who met the requirements were compelled by the government to get a compactor, a liaison office and garage. Some of these operators had to get bank loan to finance these projects. Here are some facts I will leave you to ponder on… • Lagos state generates 14,000 tons of waste per day but Visionscape Sanitation Solutions Limited has 5,000 tons evacuation capacity. This means that after a week (i.e. 7 days), Lagos will have 98,000 tons of refuse requiring evacuation while Visionscape Sanitation Solutions Limited has only moved 35,000 tons, leaving a balance of 63,000 tons of refuse per week. • Lagos state needs roughly 1500 compactors to meet the daily needs of waste management but Visionscape Sanitation Solutions Limited has only 50 compactors. This is probably because a new compactor costs over 70 million naira with shipping and import duty; that means it costs about 105 billion naira to acquire 1500 compactors. It is obvious that Visionscape Sanitation Solutions Limited can’t afford such money yet, so that is why they have quietly invited some PSP operators to join them. • With PSP operators, you don’t need to take your refuse anywhere to litter the street, all you need to do is to wait till they come once in a week then you take it right to their truck but this current system requires you to drop your refuse at the main/major road before the Visionscape operators come to pick them. There are even some areas in Lagos that are not yet covered till date. • LAWMA’s corporate offices at Mushin, Ojodu, Oshodi, Simpson etc. were taken from LAWMA by the government and given to a foreign company whereas the local investors (PSP operators) were compelled to build or let their liaison offices and garages. Some of them are still indebted to banks. • Lagos state government has given these key environmental waste management responsibilities to Visionscape Sanitation Solutions Limited: recycling of wastes generated plant, building landfill sites, marine waste, building transfer loading stations, building material recovery facilities, drainage clearing and street sweeping. Just recently, President Muhammadu Buhari signed Executive Order 5 to improve local content in public procurement with science, engineering and technology components. For those who don’t know, the Executive Order is expected to promote the application of science, technology and innovation towards achieving the nation’s development goals across all sectors of the economy. Owing to the authority vested in him by the constitution, the president ordered that all ‘‘procuring authorities shall give preference to Nigerian companies and firms in the award of contracts, in line with the Public Procurement Act 2007.’’ Basically, the idea of Lagos state government giving preference to Visionscape Group at the detriment of our indigenous 350 PSP operators is totally against the interest of the Executive Order 5. I see Lagos state as a brand which needs to be effectively managed without sentiments, greed or selfish interest or else the big dream will be nothing but fantasy. Eko o ni baje o! I remain your brand inspector.
