Once a Deed of Assignment is perfected with Governor's Consent in Lagos, it is legally assigned a specific Volume and Page Number in the state's central archives.
The only bulletproof way to independently verify it is to head to the Land Registry at Alausa, and request an official post-perfection index search. If your records are live in their database, your title is secure.
It's wild that in 2026 we still have to physically go down to Alausa to verify information that should be easily accessible via an institutional, verified directory or registry tracking layer. Hope this helps.

I assume you’re referring to the VFS office for Canada application. It’s at purple mall Lekki, freedom way along Lekki - Epe express (Ikate bus stop).

I believe you should be able to find your way there from Oshodi.

Yes, I submitted at Lagos office and it didn’t take more than 2mins.

I took a copy of the passport request letter, my passport data page and the slip I was given when I went for biometrics.

I got refused yesterday on the basis that i didnt provide enough information on the training i was going for. I plan on reapplying and using priority but worried that I might not get my feedback on my application before june 27. I need the passport for another visa application.

Please house, do you think I should run priority application or just reschedule my training and reapply after 27th?

I may be wrong but the feedback seem to be heavy on travel history. I'd advise you reschedule the training, build your travel history before re applying. Remember to attach a statement of purpose and Justification for the training.

Finally received VFS notification today. Will go pick up my passport in VI tomorrow.

Maybe you should go to VSF and check oh. I recall 2 years back, this happened to some of my guys that we applied roughly same time. We all did priority and only 2 of us got feedback within time frame. The remaining guys' application stayed up to 6 weeks to our bewilderment. After several paid calls and emails and waiting, it was discovered the applications have been treated way back. The system just didn't alert us that the passports have been returned. And interestingly, they were all issued with visas. The visa stamp date also confirmed it has been treated way back. This was with TLS though.

I think it’s better to do the paid email that way you maintain the mail trail pay only once and regularly check in on your application responding to the mail trail.
Please when I tried to do that priority thing I honestly didn’t find the option please did you pay at the VAC? Cab you put me through. Trying to do it for my brother. This vfs move from old has scattered everything.

For the priority option, my company handled my application so I can't speak to that.

Hello everyone.

Did my Biometrics 19th May for a priority Visa, yet no feedback as at today.

Did a paid call earlier this week and got an email feedback on Wednesday that it has been escalated to the appropriate ECO and my visa decision and passport will be received ASAP.

I'm just here wondering what could be the reason for this delay? I need to travel next weekend

If you want to use the assisted service with paying only ₦32,000 you have to book not earlier than 14 days to date of biometrics.

They've deliberately blocked the date selection to make you forcefully pay ₦82,000 or more

Please do you know how i can contact the TLS guys? So I can chase for my passport dispatch? Was told a decision has been made and i have no emails yet on the decision made nor the passport pick up notification. I have only tomorrow left.

Myself and my colleague did our biometrics same day, 8th October 2024. (did mine 8am, colleague's bio was 1pm)

He got a refusal email last Friday 25th October (letter dated 24th) but I still have no updates yet. Today makes it 15 working days since bio.

Visa type: Visit
Purpose: Conference.

Hoping to get an update today, conference is next monday.
